0:00 Well, hey, everyone, you're listening to the Curt Landry podcast, where we're going to help you discover your kingdom destiny. My name is Darrell and sitting right beside me, it's his show. It's Rabbi Curt Landry himself. And in this episode, we're talking all about identity and how to actually use knowing where you gain your identity to help accomplish your goals. But as always, before we jump into this episode, Rabbi, how was the weekend? How's the family doing? How are you doing? Listen, this was a great weekend. Quite a shift because we were spent a week down in Florida and then to come home to Oklahoma to really bad weather starting to come in and of course, a sterning winter here.

0:52 But the good side of that is there's something personally for me to be able to come home, have the fireplace going, puts me in a mode to start cooking food. My family loves that side of it. So it's a good weekend, but it's also a weekend where I'm really focusing on, it's January, it's New Year's. And one of the things that I actually have in my program of goals to grow 2024, one of the things that bothers me when I read it was that only 8% of the people after February are either doing their goals or their year-end planning.

1:38 And that really bothers me. And I thought, what can I do to be able to help people to not be trapped by being all excited, writing new goals, New Year's resolutions, but then how can I help them to facilitate actually changing their mindset to be able to go into accomplishing what they desire to accomplish? And that really comes down to an identity issue. Yeah. So, you throw out the percentage there for, I mean, it's kind of sad as humans in Falling Creation that in the second month of the year, we fall off that quick.

2:25 Why do you think that it's just so easy for us to do that? Boy, I could just... Now, listen, I could write a book on this, but I'll just... A brief history. Okay, I come out of the corporate world. I'm corporately trained in behavioral sciences. And what happens with that is like self-improvement things, okay? What happens is you have to constantly be reinforcing the self-improvement. So then I get saved. But when I get saved, I realize now we actually have a power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God to bring transformation.

3:06 So what I have found is if you take practical time, task, and activity management where you're making good use of your practical times and you have goals, say, I have to do this. And I always say, underestimate your goals. So many people say, I'm going to do five or six things in one day. Listen, just do two or three. And then, you know what? If you get them done, go for the four and the fifth and you'll feel good. But if you have like five or seven and then you only get like six and then you feel bad. So a lot of this is managing your emotions. But what I have found is, and I can give you an example here a little bit, but if you'll take your goal of what you're accomplishing to do, write it out and then put scripture to it and then actually pray and start memorizing the scripture that actually reinforces the change you want to make, it becomes supernatural.

4:01 And I think that's the difference between me, let's say, than a Tony Robbins or somebody that's doing that type of behavioral change. Listen, all that positive motivation, Norman Vincent Peale, all that stuff does get results to a degree. But if you will take practical habits and patterns and then put scripture to it to where the two actually are working together, the results, you won't have 8% of the people. It's going to up the percentage. And I hope people will listen to this podcast and listen to us because this is an opportunity for them to really, once you start becoming knowing that you can accomplish whatever God puts in front of you and you actually believe it, it changes your self perspective.

6:19 With the responsibilities that I have with what I do and my family, I don't have time for that. You work with me and you know- Pretty busy. Yeah, because most people my age are slowing down and I'm actually going to be busier the next 10 years, not less busy. To answer your question is there's nothing more valuable than experience. What happens is I've had a lot of experience and I want to be able to impart that experience like to you and Morgan. I want you to take that experience on to the babies.

7:02 That's really my heart. My heart is, listen, I had some really good influencers in my life at key points and I want to be able to give back. This is one of the ways this podcast is, so to say, let's sit down and have lunch together without the food. But I think what we're talking about people, listen, I don't think that I have it going on or I just know what works for me. I think the testimony of our life is good enough that people can say, well, like I tell people don't follow anybody that's not where you want to go.

7:44 If they're not where you want to go, then you need to go find some other podcasts. Is that kind of like don't take money advice from broke people? Yeah. It's just- Yeah. Okay. Diving into a little bit more, I mean, obviously, that's something I really want to bring in to this show is that people kind of know where your heart is for this because you've done content and media and live TV for years and years. When I came to you with this idea of the podcast and was kind of pitching around the team, I wanted a more laid back opportunity for you to really just kind of tell it how it is and just have a really easy conversation.

8:25 I know it's my hope and I think it's your hope and the rest of the team that when people sit back and listen to this show, that they can kind of get to know you and learn from you in a more relaxed, relatable setting than, hey, I got a live notification trigger and so I need to jump on and try to see what Rabbi's got going on YouTube right now. I hope this media is the type of format where people feel comfortable and confident enough to maybe listen to an episode twice if it really helped them. Yeah, I do. Listen, just to be transparent, what happens is, listen, I'm very blessed to have a studio at my house.

9:08 The reason it's kind of random is I'm a Holy Spirit guy and Christy will know it. All of a sudden she says, like, you start pacing and you get this weird look on your eyes. Christy says my eyes change and what happens is what I say is I said, listen, there's something bubbling up within me and so what I try to do is I try to go into my space in that office, which is a safe space for me and I basically just put the fire hose on and let it fly and this isn't that. This is like, let's just have a very practical kind of a dial down conversation so they can, listen, I'm not in that mode all the time.

9:54 This is who I am sitting here. This is what I do. And you can ask me anything you want. And one of the things, I'll tell you, one of the strengths that the Lord's blessed me with is if I don't know something, that's why I can do live television and I'm like people see, I remember I went to Daystar and there was a bunch of stuff going on and it was, and someone came up and they said, Rabbi, would you pray? You seem so calm. And that was the comment and I said, well, I didn't realize I seemed so calm. And they said, why are you so calm? I said, because it's not my show. I said, all these people, there's 14 people running around. Those are your employees. This is not mine. I'm just here.

10:34 All you're going to do is ask me questions. I'm either going to say, yes, I know, or no, I don't. And so, and so I think when people, you know, that's, I want it to be, listen, if you ask me a question and I don't have the answer, I can say, I'll think about it. We'll do it in the next episode. I just want to be able to really impart to people and help them and building trust in the ministry. Listen, we're not perfect, but we do have, if you're going to follow us, if you look at the track record, the ministry is very successful and the other side of it is, and I give all the credit to the Lord and my wife, but we're very blessed to have a godly family.

11:16 Our children are active in the Lord, our grandchildren. We have, we're blessed with tremendous amount of godly friends. I mean, you know, some of our friends and I don't like the name dropping thing, but we have really solid friends and we've had them for a long time. I mean, if you look at Pastor Tim and Sandy, they've been with us 24 years. How many people do you know that actually co-pastor a church and have the same pastor 24 years? I don't know anyone. So, so we're very blessed. And so what happens is if I can impart little behavioral choices and things that, that would help people, we're debt free. The ministry is debt free.

11:56 I'm debt free. I mean, so like actually what we preach is, I mean, it works. We live it. Yeah, we live it. And so I'm just trying to be able to, if I would like everyone to be able to get there and if they can, if what we're sharing on the podcast helps them, I'm, I'm that really, that's what, that's the reward for me is that someone's blessed by it. 12:43 So Rabbi, let's, let's jump back to what we're talking about in this episode about identity and figuring that out and how that relates to your goals. And so I, I guess the first question really to get us going is, is how difficult, and this is a big question, but how difficult initially when you sit down to start a year, right? Or you start anything new, but you know, I want you to go much deeper in this from like a spiritual personal side of it. How difficult is it to one, identify your identity, right? And two, how do you activate that? Because I feel like you got to start there before we start talking about goals and about different things that you want to accomplish in your life.

13:29 Yeah, Darrell, that's a great question. So if you go in my goals to grow by on page 11, it says your personal strategy for his kingdom. And the question is this, what do I need, and this kind of answers your question, what do I need to shift my mind away from so I can seek first the kingdom of God? So what is it that I need to shift my mind? Now, I, you know, a lot of times, listen, this is one of the struggles I've had inside, let's say the Christian world, is the Christian world and the business world, and I'm in both worlds, but the Christian world sometimes has a little bit of difficulty with the mind stuff.

14:12 So if you start going into any kind of mind transformation or mind development, then it's like, oh my gosh, this is witchcraft, this is this and that. And I'll just tell you right now, it's not. Let me put you into a situation, okay? You work for a guy for 40 years, the guy is the greatest leader, everybody likes him. And then all of a sudden, suddenly he dies. And he dies when the goal, the goal for the whole company for all these years was to go to this place called the promised land. Right before you get to the promised land, the boss, Moses, is gone. And so now, what's the first thing the Spirit of God says to this young Joshua? He says, as I was with Moses, so I am with you.

14:54 And so he says, well, that's great. How do I ask now? Now I am Joshua CEO, I'm not Joshua, the vice president, I'm CEO. How do I get that mind set? And what does he say to him? He says, meditate, which is a mental, meditate on the word of God, right? Day and night, that you might be of great success. So the first thing you have to do is you have to make a decision. And this is a choice, it's just a choice. You need to say to the Lord, and you can do it right now. And you can say, Lord, I want your mind and your influence because the scripture says, let this mind be in you, that's in Christ Jesus.

15:35 You have to let it. That's what I'm saying. And ask the Lord to give you his mind for your life. Lord, what did you create me for? You have to start the process of asking. And Darrell, what will happen is if you'll ask, then what's going to happen is you're going to start reading stuff in scripture and devotionals, you're going to maybe even hear a podcast like this. And all of a sudden, you're going to go, oh my gosh, this is what he's got in mind for me. And what happens is dream goals will start to come. And that's where the passion is. And what you're going to find out is your dream goals and your passion are connected to the gifts that God has put in you, the nine spiritual gifts, whatever.

16:19 Let's say you have five of the nine. It doesn't make any difference. But it starts in shifting your mind to say, I want God's will for my life, not mine, where there's actually a surrender, like, okay, I'm going to quit striving and I want to do what God has created me for. So let's pull back another one. Okay, let's go to what's the next thing. So I figured out identity purpose a little bit. And so now I've got a lot of ambition.

17:02 I got a lot of things that I actually want to accomplish. And everybody's gone through things where they've struggled and trying to figure out how to get over the hump. So what's that next layer of identity and goals? Okay, so let's break it down into so that you can understand, people understand. Let's break it down to either there's people who tried to start their own business or have no people who have entrepreneurially started businesses and failed. And so I'm going to give you my 40 plus years experience in business. And I've been blessed to actually succeed and fail in multiple businesses.

17:46 And so I'm speaking to you from that experience. Here's the thing is you get the mind of the Lord, okay, Lord, you have me to do this business. Okay, and I'm just using that example, then you have to have your heart. Your heart has to be in it, because there has to be passion, because passion is that hidden energy that actually causes you to succeed. But then you have to have practical goals of how am I going to have time, task and activity. But I'm going to give you the mystery. The mystery to success is you have to have the character, the value system and the integrity spiritually to be able to drink from the Lord's blessing cup.

So if you go to like Romans 12 verses 9 through 21, and I'm not going to read all of it, but it says, let love be without hypocrisy, abhor what is evil and cling to what is good.

22:04 So and it goes down all the way down to 21 and it says, do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. So here's the key is if you want the Lord to bless your, I'm just using an example, your business or whatever your assignment is, then you have to choose to say, I'm not only going to have the mind and the heart and the attitude and the plan for God, but I'm actually going to stay within the behavioral boundaries of saying, you know what? I'm good at getting angry. I'd like to get that guy lied. They cheated. They stole from me. If you're going to go into business, all that's going to happen and whether the business is in the church or out of the church, there's lying, cheater, stealers everywhere. But what you're going to say is, okay, when it happens, how do I respond?

22:47 And if you read Romans 12 and example nine through 21, then what happens is you're going to have to respond with forgiveness and then let the vengeance be the Lord's and then you have to move on. So you have to forgive. Since you've been with us, we had a situation with betrayal and a betrayal thing came and you watched it. You know, we could have gone into taking it into our own hands or we could forgive, keep our hearts right and move on. And you can see we have recovered from a pretty sizable. Pretty well. Yeah. I mean, but see, we followed these principles, but see, these principles were in my heart since the nineties. And so what happened is it's like, so, but listen, did I have thoughts when that was going down?

23:30 Yeah, I had thoughts. I'm just a man. I'm just a person. Yeah. Well, I did. I get mad, angry. Yes. But the choice is here's what happens is if you think about it, okay, let's, let's just imagine right here on this table. Let's say I have seed, I have golden seed and each one of those golden seeds are going to be watered and, and they're going to grow. Okay. And so what happens is let's say there's a hundred golden seeds in front of you. Now if I choose to get angry and I want to be vengeful, I'm going to get them. I'm going to get, I'm going to call, you know, you know, I've got an attorney and you know, I can call my attorney and we're going to get after them.

24:12 Okay. So what that is, if you do that, you've got the hundred seeds on here. That anger outburst of that Satan kind of, so this not, it's just an example. Satan comes as the accuser of the brethren says, all right, give me 25 of those seeds right now. Because what happens is the sin of that anger takes it. It doesn't hurt the person I'm upset with. What it does is it steals my blessing. So when it says in the Galatians of the fruit of the spirit, self-control, if I choose, listen, I feel the anger. I want to engage in the anger. I want to have, and you're trained here. I want to have that 18% moment. See that 18% moment is determined.

24:53 If you don't have an 18% moment is because you choose self-control. And what happens in the spirit is you, you, you maintain the 25. And to be honest with you, my experience has been if the Lord, if I have a hundred golden seeds on the table, if I make a good choice, many times the Lord will just dump another 50 golden seeds on me and just say, what the heck you did so good. Here's the blessing. I'm serious. It's just like, it just, I'm telling you, it works like this. And then, and, but you'll never see me. I won't defend myself. I'm not fighting against people. And listen, you work here. We get, I get accused of everything. I mean, I'm so blessed that some opposition in Israel, we made it to the front page, not the front page, but anyway, to the Jerusalem post my whole life.

25:35 Listen, I'm a Jewish guy, a humanitarian aid. And I've always wanted to be in the Jerusalem post, but I finally made it. But how did I make it by some, you know, mean people in Israel that don't like it because we're outperforming them. And it says, Curt Landry ministries were right there in the first, we had the word count and blah, blah, blah. They actually accused us of everything. It was like my mother came from heaven and said, and look what Curtis is doing. They dispelled it out. Only it was hateful. I'm sitting over there. I read it. I'm there. I'm going, I looked at Christie and I said, we made it. We're in the Jerusalem post. It's a blessing. Yeah, it is a blessing. I'm serious. I'm so excited about it. But see, that's because if you'll do the 12, you know, this attitude, you build it over years.

26:22 And what you realize is your attitude and your behavior when bad things happen are going to determine your future. All right. So let's say that people listening have downloaded their free guide, right? And they're working through it. And like, let's say it's a couple months from now, okay, or people last year in the 2023 version of this download and they figure out identity, right? They figure out their goals from things that they want to accomplish. I mean, this might be too simple of a question, but I mean, it's something that I think about is that when you pray and accomplish things, how difficult is it sometimes to maybe slow down to where you can actually recognize that you've achieved the goal?

27:09 Oh, man, you're asking the wrong guy for this. Yeah, no, this, yeah, you'd have to ask Christy or something. Yeah, I'm not good at this. Okay, so I actually, and this is hard. I'm not trying to separate myself from the people, but I know who I am, my identity. I'm a voice. My purpose is to be that voice for Israel, and I know it's going to cost me everything. Okay, so I made that decision like in 92. So what happens is what I do, I would do even if I didn't get paid to do it. I'm blessed. I live on a golf course and I have a lake in the back.

27:53 And so my friends come and they say, well, do you play golf? I say, no. Do you have a boat? No. It's just I like the space. It's where the Lord put me and it's a good investment property and I love living there. But I don't do any of the things. What do I do? I sit in my office and I do teaching like this because that's what I love to do. First of all, I'm fairly good at teaching and preaching and ministering. I stink at golf and when I fish, I always like pull the, I jerk the line and I'm too slow. So it's like, why would I want to do something I'm bad at when I'm actually learning? I look at ministry and communication like a doctor. I'm in practice and I hope that the last message I preach will be my best.

28:36 It's a constant growing. But the point is my passion is I love to do it. But the question is this, why do I love to do it? Because God has blessed me. Just people don't realize, but listen, there's no logical reason for me to be sitting here. I know God did it. So those who have been given much, the Lord requires much. So we just got done taking care of 500 orphans in Nairobi, Kenya. And so I did a little interview with them on the Zoom. And of course they always ask, well, why are you doing this? Well, that was me. I was an orphan.

29:17 So a lot of people have an orphan spirit. What I mean by that is you may not be a physical orphan, but spiritually, you don't really feel connected with God. You don't feel blessed. You're in debt. You're battling. You're fighting. The reason I'm doing this podcast is if I can encourage you to take baby steps, crawl, walk, run into adopting biblical principles and values and govern your life by seeking first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all other things come on you. If I can encourage you just today, take that one step.

29:57 Don't worry about tomorrow. Don't do not, and this is what I spoke to the orphan children. You do not let your past dictate your future. So what? You're an orphan. I was an orphan. I'm not anymore. I'm a king's kid, and that's what I want people to do. I want their identity and their purpose to be at peace. I want to give away in the Spirit what the Lord has blessed me with because that's a natural cycle of the love. The love of the Father is this. I was reading a Reinhard Bonnke, tremendous evangelist in Africa and all over the world, but one of the things he said, and it was so wise, is this.

30:45 He said, the Lord is not going to send you finance until you need it. But the thing is, biblically, you're not going to put a demand on the courts of heaven for finance until you start doing what God asks you to do. So there always has to be that faith step. So you take the step first, because a lot of times people wait and say, well, I'll pray, and then when I get this money, I'll do this. I've heard that a long time. It's never worked for me. What happens with me is I've always... It hasn't worked, has it? No, no, I just have to... You see what we do here. We just do it. And so, you have to take that step.

31:25 So if you can get into a place where you know that God loves you, He's not trying to hurt you, every good and perfect gift comes from above, you're His child, you're His child because He chose you, not because how good you are. I'm not talking about having good Christian behavior because you're to be accepted. I'm talking about having good Christian behavior to protect your dreams, your goals, and your desires, because sin is death. And so, what happens is if every time you sin, then you're gonna have to fight and try to correct the situations that came because of the sin. So it's just better like what I talked about with the golden seeds. If you can control yourself and not do the stupid stuff, you have less cleanup.

32:11 I guess more of a personal question, maybe... I don't know. I mean, like maybe it's not, or maybe you've never even thought about it, but can you think back to maybe like that first moment or that first part of your life when you're back in ministry, you've started House of David, right? And you started Curt Landry Ministries. And can you remember the first time maybe you got that call or that connection or... You got a thumbs up that it was successful, that a project for orphans in Israel was a success. Can you remember the story or the emotion of like from a personal identity to a goal setting to achieving?

33:00 Can you remember that time? Well, oh yeah, it's very distinct. We were in our girl's safe house in Jerusalem. And so we were there with Christy and I, and we had some friends with us. And it was our first time in the girl's safe house. So this would have been probably maybe eight or 10 years ago. And one of the girls was there and she basically just said, and it was so real, but it was what was coming out of her. And I can still see her face right now. She said, if it wasn't for this Bridge to Independence program, I would have been dead.

33:49 And she didn't have to say it. We knew that she would have taken her own life because what was happening, what was so horrible in her life. And the way the Bridge to Independence works is at 18, they come out of the El Adim, our children's program. And the reason we started years ago, Bridge to Independence, is because from 19 to 24, we realized that's when you need the most parenting and making those choices. And so what she was saying, I can still see her, just beautiful young lady, really tiny. I called her Mighty Mouse. She was a Mighty Mouse. She's very successful now. She's a businesswoman. She's killing it.

34:29 But she was probably about 18 at this time, 19-ish, somewhere. She was just new into the program. And basically what she said, if you didn't provide this, I was going to take my life. I thought, wow, that's why we do this. That's different, isn't it? Yeah. Well, we had some of the elders from House of David with us. And literally, I can see some of their faces. And even one of the men that was with us is their family has foster kids and bring kids in their house, kind of like you and Morgan, that have that heart too.

35:12 And they just broke when she said it. It was like, OK. And the thing that was great about it, no cameras. This is back in the day when they wouldn't allow us to go in the house and film like we did when you were there. But that kind of cemented it for me where I realized, OK, our ministry, our lives, and what we're doing is successful and it's making a difference. And it's not about numbers. It's not about how much money we raised. This one girl, to hear that, it was like it was worth it. I guess as we get close to wrapping up this episode, I guess really two questions.

35:55 The second one's pretty easy to kind of transition us out. But the first one, just to kind of wrap up that emotion and that transition point in your personal life and within the ministry, kind of what people know, Curl Andrew Ministries now, did that moment, did that feeling, that emotion, that accomplishment in identity to goals to getting a successful thumbs up right on something that you went out to go do, how did that pivot and move your calling in the direction that it is now?

36:36 I mean, being able to recognize that win and that goal. Well, one of the things I've observed is that you really go through four seasons. Maybe some people go through more. But my observation is there's four seasons that you go in your identity. And it really comes from a birthing to a service to a maturing and then an impartation. And so I'm in the impartation stage. That's why I'm sitting here. So when you're in the impartation stage and you're older, and I'm a baby boomer, so you're in that stage, what happens is we had a real encounter.

37:18 We were in a very secret military base this last time we were in Israel during the war. And no civilians are supposed to be there. And they invited us in and we had 250 young soldiers that were there. We barbecued and fixed dinner for them. Anyway, we're all in the dining hall there. And as we're in the dining hall, I didn't say nothing. I was just there. They said, would you share with us? And so here's all these different Israeli men and women, some full time, some reserves.

38:07 So if there's a reserve, like one of the guys they went dinner across from me was a doctor. Another one was a lawyer, but they're in the reserves. But they asked, see, this was the thing is they, since I'm in the fourth season, they sense it. It's kind of like what this podcast is. They said, would you share something with us? And this is what I shared. I said, you need to understand that the world hates you. We're Jews and that's never going to change. Anti-Semitism, we battle it, but it's never going away. When your God's chosen, the enemy hates you. And if I could impart that to the church, because Jesus told us that they were going to hate us, whether we're Jew or Gentile, because of Him.

38:54 When you walk in the truth and you carry the Holy Spirit, the darkness hates you. So anyway, these soldiers are there and they're not saved. These are some of religious, some not. They're all over the place. But what I told them, I said, you need to realize that the world hates you. And you think, no, this is a great speech. And I said, and the reason the world hates you is because God loves you. And I said, you're like no other military or first responders. You're like nobody else in the world. You're not like the soldiers in the US or the armies in Europe. You are the IDF. You are the men and women of God. And what you've been called to do is you're the watchman on the wall. In Hebrew, you're the nozzanim.

39:34 You are the watchmen who are actually performing, protecting, and building Bible prophecy according to the Bible. You're not only performing it and protecting it, but you're the Nehemiah. You're actually rebuilding the wall. And God has empowered you to do that. And don't listen to what, and I just told them, I said, don't listen to it. I went through different networks. It doesn't matter what the woke media says about you. I'm coming to tell you that there is a remnant and those who love the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and those who have been grafted in through Jesus Christ, they love you. They support you. They pray for you, and they understand that your identity is that you are modern day warriors like King David protecting God's integrity because God is not a man.

40:26 He should lie. They literally, Darrell, 250 of them stood to their feet and started screaming, just yeah, yeah, like that. And then they got done and they said, could we bless you? And then one of the ones, this like a rabbi guy, he comes up and he prays the Aaronic ben Ediction over me, you know, the Echacharimai, and he asked me, he says, do you know what that is? I said, yes, I know what that is. And it was so awesome to see that I spoke into, you're not, it's okay that you're hated. This is your job. You're God's chosen people.

41:07 Now listen, this whole speech probably took 10 minutes and it changed their lives and they just loved it. And so that's what this season of time is for me. And if you're going to follow us on this podcast, I'm in that season of, I want to impart to you your identity because I know this, your identity changes over time with Christ. It always improves. But if you know who you are in him, it's Christ in you that's your hope and glory. If you know that you can do all things through him because he gives you strength. If you know that he gives you wealth because he's trying to establish his covenant promise with you and his desire is that you prosper and he adds no sorrow to it.

41:53 That's your father. That's what I want to impart to them. Life is not easy. My life's not easy and it's not perfect, but it's a good life. Okay, man. So just touching real quick before we get out of here is that moment when everybody was going nuts and just cheering, you know, I mean like, what was that like for you? I mean, obviously you, you, you gave me a little bit of reaction of what other people had, but you know, like when you say that and, and you, you just break it down biblically on how, you know, the enemy is going to hate God's people, right?

42:40 It's, it's pretty simple, you know, is it, um, was it, what did it feel like when you're in that moment of, of confirmation of preaching something that is very simple and it should be understood, but, but it's not. And, and, and having that moment with these, with these people that it was life-changing for them, that for, for them to hear the message broken down so simple, that gave them so much encouragement, what was that like for you personally? And like, what was the feeling in your body as it was going on, if you can remember?

43:21 Well biblically, uh, I, I can't say where I was located, but there, um, I'll just say this, this area is where Joshua actually came in and took the promised land, the actual area. And I literally felt like Joshua rallying the troops saying, you know what, we can take this land. I mean, that's, that's how I felt. And of course I look over and you know, there's my wife and she knows where we're standing and the location and the time and the soldiers. And of course she's such a nana and a mama to them.

44:03 You know, she's hugging all of them. But while I'm actually get up speaking, she is literally sitting over there, travailing, shaking, crying. One of the soldiers goes over and puts his arm around her and she's just broken because spiritually she goes, oh my gosh, we're preparing Israel to be able to take where we're at this land and these soldiers. And literally when we got done speaking to them, this was late at night, they literally went out on night patrols and do what they do. So I mean, it was like, it was surreal. I felt, it felt biblical. I mean, listen, it changed us.

44:45 Our, you know, people have asked me and I'll switch gears about identity. Okay. You have one identity, but then you can have an experience. So what happened with Christie and I, and I don't recommend, we're called to do this, but when we went down to the South and we went to the different kibbutzins that have been attacked and ravaged, it changed us. You can't unsee it. You can't unsmell it. You can't hear it. You can't unfeel it. But you asked the Lord, why?

45:26 I said, Lord, why did you bring us down here to see this? And the Lord said, you can't fight what you can't see. You need to see. And so the scripture when John 10, 10, which I've quoted for years, and it says, and Jesus came to bring life, life more abundantly, but Satan has come to kill, steal and destroy. That's that my identity with what Satan does to kill, steal and destroy. I never understood it until I was at kibbutzgavar and I was standing in the middle of probably the most monstrous human behavior on earth and interviewing people who survived it.

46:15 But you can't fight the enemy unless you know the enemy. And you can't fight the enemy unless you know who you are. See, the thing is, to the listeners, you're going to have some wars, nothing like that, hopefully, but you're going to have to face some things. And what happens is you need to realize that mightier the he that's in you. He called you. He knew this war was coming on October 7th. He knows what you're facing, let's say on May the 21st, whatever. He knows that. And here's the key is if he knows the storms are coming and if you'll take the simple instruction and build your house, your spiritual life upon the rock and not the sand, when the storm comes, he knows you may suffer some damage, but your house will still be standing and you'll finish and you'll finish well.
