Introduction

Chris Johnson: This is Charisma Connection. I'm Chris Johnson and today I have the privilege of having with me Pastor Siegfried Tomaszewski who is evangelist and president of Calling Ministry. He's also vice president and CEO of One God, One Day, One Africa, which is our topic for today. But first pastor Siegfried, we welcome you to Charisma Connection. I bet people hear a little accent. Where are you originally from?

The Vision of 1 God, 1 Day, 1 Africa Mega Crusade

The main crusade will be hosted by One God-One Day-One Africa Ministries (1GDA) and will be broadcasted to as many of the 54 nations of Africa as possible. The location and date are still under discussion, but will possibly be held in May 2020.

  • This will be a historical, epic event that will be broadcast live on GMO (Global Media Outreach), which has had up to a million hits a day seeking to know Jesus. It will also be on television, radio and recorded to be on sim cards which will be, along with the Jesus film and the Bible (or at least the Book of John), passed out to the remote villages of all nations in Africa, translated into 5 languages, by “boots on the ground” such as Campus Crusade, YWAM, etc. These will have the new technology that prohibits users from deleting and changing content. Small radios will also be given to village leaders to be able to hear the live broadcast.
  • This will be promoted in the media in all African nations so that all peoples, religious, NON-RELIGIOUS, rich, poor, young, old, etc. will want to turn their TV’s, radios, internet, etc. on to follow it. It will be so inspirational, exciting and attractive that no one will want to miss it! We will make this crusade a Celebration of Africa involving top African sports, entertainment and political celebrities.
  • Not only will it be broadcast on a continental level (on the large international radio and TV networks), but also on the local networks of each nation to reach the largest audience possible and to make part 3 of the Vision possible.

Siegfried Tomaszewski: I can't hide it. I was born in Germany. I was raised in Canada, and I'm American. So, a lot of accents there.

Chris Johnson: You are now here in Florida, in Kissimmee, that's where your ministry is based, called Calling Ministry. Could you tell us what calling ministry is?

Siegfried Tomaszewski: Calling Ministry is based on a word from Timothy, we are all called to call. We are calling those who have never heard the gospel, and we are calling those who know the gospel to go out and reach the others.

Chris Johnson: And how long have you had your ministry?

Siegfried Tomaszewski : It's six years now.

Chris Johnson: You also have many years of experience teaching alongside Christ For all Nations founder Reinhardt Bonnke, and you do seminars on soul winning, right?

Siegfried Tomaszewski: Yes. I call it SWIM courses, Soul Sinning Impartation Meeting. But SWIM also stands for people are supposed to jump into the ocean to rescue those who can’t swim, so to say. Many of those don't know how to swim themselves. So, we train them for soul winning.

Chris Johnson: That's definitely a deep need here in the church. It seems like evangelism is your heartbeat?

Siegfried Tomaszewski: It is. I'm burning for all souls. I got saved when I was 21. And, from day one, I've belonging to see souls being saved.

Chris Johnson: I can see why you were tied in with Reinhard Bonnke, and then you worked with him as the European director for how many years?

Siegfried Tomaszewski: I joined him in 1994. So, it's almost 25-26 years now. I was 18 years European director. I founded several companies, his production company for the books and so on. I taught at the fire conferences, crusade preaching. We are still friends very close together today. That's for a lifetime.

Chris Johnson: Could you tell us about 1 GDA, One God, One Day, One Africa?

Siegfried Tomaszewski: Almost two years ago, a lady from California called me. Her name is Jennifer Wilde. I'd never heard that name before. She said she had a vision from God. That next year, that was when she called me next year in May, and about five months later, she wanted to see a gospel campaign in every country of Africa at the same time.

Chris Johnson: By the way, how many countries are there?

Siegfried Tomaszewski: There are about 54 countries. There are seven so-called closed countries, there are some semi-closed countries and there are about 46 open countries open for the gospel. So, she called me and told me what she has seen in that vision, what God spoke to her and I hung up. She called again and she said I think we got disconnected. I said, No, we didn't get disconnected. I hung up. She said, why would you do that? I said it was because I had never heard something like that before. We worked with Christ for all Nations, six or seven crusades a year, what we call Double the Harvest Season. We had 10 crusades a year, back-to-back crusades. And after two years, we said, we can’t continue like that. It’s killing us. And Christ For all Nations has a well-geared team. They know what they are doing. So, I told her, this is just not possible to do that. I said, do it with whomever you want, but not with me. She says, give me a chance. She sent me the vision in writing as an email. A couple of days later, she says, I'm coming to Florida from California. I need to see you. I want to talk to you. So, she did.

Chris Johnson: Jennifer sounds like a very convincing person. She was persuaded she got this from the Lord.

Siegfried Tomaszewski: Absolutely. I mean, until today, she knows she has heard from God. And that's actually what triggered something in me. Because that’s what I saw in Reinhard. When he heard from God, he didn't think, is it stupid? Is it odd? What do people say? They know they've heard from God and I have experienced it in my life many times. Then I said, OK, let's talk about it. I said, let me pray about it. If God gives me kind of a blueprint of how this can be done, I’ll consider it. So, I prayed. I fasted. And God gave me what I call a blueprint. I told her if it's not about you, if it's not about your ministry, if it's about Africa to be saved, I said, here's what I believe. The idea of what I believe God gave us, is that there so many ministries in Africa. They are operating and many times they don't know of one another, what they are doing. I said we need to do something which may have never been done: before evangelistic network. So, I spread that news, just a little bit among some friends to hear what they are saying. And I said, could you imagine adopting or taking responsibility for one country on one particular weekend? And that's going to be Pentecost week in May 2020, the last weekend.

Chris Johnson: So, we're over a year from that. There’s a lot of planning that goes into this.

Siegfried Tomaszewski: But what better weekend than Pentecost weekend. It is the birth hour of the church. So, she agreed. She said, would you help us? I said, with God's help, I will do that. And that's called One God, One Day, One Africa celebrating Africa. So far, we have 29 ministries already who have signed up who said we will cover one country. We are looking for more ministries, we are looking for churches to join together to adopt a country, take responsibility for one country. And on the last night, we want one of those famous, call it preachers … we don't know yet, but somebody who really has a heart for Africa. And because we are also networking with the Global Outreach Day, which is Go 2020, which is also very much known also here at Charisma. They are working globally also in May 2020 together with many, many denominations, like the Church of God, Foursquare Church and Every Home for Christ and Youth with a Mission. They are all on board. So, we all join together for this one big event. From day one, May 2020, we want to mobilize all churches all over the world to go out. We want to mobilize 5,000 evangelists to go out in Africa to the unreached, to the rural areas where we cannot get to, where we cannot have broadcasting, where we cannot have live events. And then of course, the last weekend, we want to have an outreach in every country legally possible in Africa. We want to broadcast it live throughout the continent of Africa. On the last night, we want somebody to pray for a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the whole continent of Africa.

Chris Johnson: That's a big undertaking, but clearly the Lord is behind this. So, Jennifer is from wildforjesus.org, in case people want a context. And, she's written a book for us at Creation House called From Life in the Hollywood Fast Lane to the Untouchable of India. For those who attended The Send here in Orlando, we saw how people can come together in a big stadium event, but this is nothing like what happens in Africa with when Reinhardt Bonnke was there, now with Daniel Kolenda. So, what should we expect in terms of numbers for this kind of thing?

Siegfried Tomaszewski: It’s always difficult. With Christ For All Nations, we actually never spoke about numbers before the event because you never know what circumstances. There is weather, there are political situations; there are so many things that could that could affect the numbers. We want to go for the uttermost; we want to go for the maximum. I learned from one thing from Evangelist Bonnke that if you want to shoot for the moon, you have to aim for the sun. We have high goals and we really want to reach the whole continent of Africa by any means … live broadcasting or whatever.

Chris Johnson: Tell us about some of those countries that you are having trouble getting into. You mentioned closed countries.

Siegfried Tomaszewski:  Of course. They are very well known. That's Libya, Somalia, Dijibouti, the whole northern part of Africa like Morocco, Tunisia. Algeria is struggling right now very much. We pray so much for those countries and we have means and possibilities I don't want to share here how. We have plans and we know God has plans because God loves the Muslim. God loves those people because Jesus died for every single soul. I'm operating with my ministry, mostly in those areas. I would just like to share one very short story. I was in in Morocco a couple of back. I was standing at the window and then I went and knelt down to pray. God spoke to me and he said, go to the window. Look out. What do you see? So, I went to the window and looked out. I'm a Pentecostal, so I imagined something, a sign in the sky or something. There was nothing but people walking by below my window. So, I went back. I prayed. God speaks again, go to the window. What do you see? I got up again. I looked out expecting some, vision, some sign, but nothing. I looked down just people passing by. I said I'm going nuts here and my own imagination is playing tricks with me. And God speaks again, look, what do you see? I said, God, I don't see anything, just people passing by. The moment I said just people it was like somebody put a knife into my heart. I fell down on my knee in that hotel room. I cried like a child. I'm an old man, but I cried. I said, Lord, forgive me because I immediately knew why. It’s because He said to me, never say just people because for every single soul, I have died. Those are precious souls. I've died. I dedicate or rededicated my life on that day to God for those people to reach every soul. We condemn them, we judge them, we neglect them. How can we if they have never heard the gospel?
