Juan Martinez: Absolutely. I have this story that most people will say … because a lot of times, I hear people coming off of drugs or prison. Well, for me, for 23 years of my life, I started at the age of 13, where I was addicted to drugs and addicted to the fast life. I started selling drugs at a very young age and my parents owned bars when I was young. So, when I was in high school, I was already selling to grownups. One day I decided I was going to take off and go to Texas because I've watched enough movies. I wound up becoming one of the major meth distributors in the state of Texas and selling drugs all over the United States. It was just a wild whirlwind. I've done about nine years of prison in major states. Everywhere I went, I've destroyed cities. I've turned great people into prostitutes and seeing just all kinds of stuff when it comes into … I call it sorcery. A lot of times we just call it drugs, but it's sorcery because those things, what it does is that it lies to the person and they are consumers of the lie. Then, they just follow whoever is the one in power with the drugs or whatever it is we're bringing out, whether it's crack or methamphetamines or cocaine. All those things turn people into puppets. Most of my life, that's what I did.

So, I came out to Texas, I didn't know anybody. I jumped on a Greyhound bus, watched enough movies that I wanted to be the main guy. How many know that it's crazy when God turns it around for good. But then, I had faith in the enemy. It worked exactly the same way. It was just a perverted version of it. A lot of times when people hear the word lust, they think sex. But I think when I hear the word lust, it’s just a dark void that says I want more of whatever that is. I wanted more and I just operated out of lust, because lust wants more. But love gives. The enemy had a counterfeit and when I was in Texas at that time, and I came out, and I ended up meeting the number nine cartel guy, and before you know it, I was just messed up and was taking over cities and literally cooking meth and all of these other things. It's incredible how we always look at other countries when there's people cooking drugs right here in the United States. That’s kind of my story in a nutshell. I went around the United States selling drugs and just eventually got caught up the last time and was facing 25 years to life. While facing 25 years to life … I had not been in my children's life or nothing. It was first time that I got incarcerated for something else that I did not do. Then, of course, that gets clear, but I get charged with possession of under 200 grams of methamphetamines. I was thinking I was going to do all that time and they gave me four years while I'm there. The crazy part is that I had a few encounters, because I felt like God was speaking to me. I just did not know it was God.

I got in my car one day and I was looking up at the clouds and in my spirit of I could hear the words why are you killing, stealing and destroying the very lives I’ve given people? The amazing part about that is before that, I had never read a scripture. Later I would find out that’s John 10:10. Literally, he was speaking to me as if I was the enemy at that time. He’s asking me why am I killing, stealing and destroying the very lives He has given people and … I’m crying profusely. I'm crying and the person that was driving, they're like, are you OK? But it was like the movies. Everything was slow motion. I could hear this. He's like, you're turning these great moms into prostitutes and these dads, you're making them split families. I went after that, and I still delivered the drugs but something was different. I would tell people that, hey, you know what, I really feel like God was speaking to me. They used to say, man, you're high. After that, I would go and I didn't listen. That's when the incarceration happened. I got incarcerated and I'm in there and I encountered God. I had a full conversion, no worship team, no pastor preaching just me in a cell with the Bible. I hadn’t even read the Bible yet. I just kind of got on my knees and kind of was like, I don't want to do this anymore. I don't want to hurt people like that anymore. I don't know. It was just really weird. All of a sudden, I had a conscience. I walked out and there was a guy there who said, I'm a pastor. I go, like, whatever. I didn't even know what a pastor was. I only knew a priest because I was raised Catholic. I only knew what a priest was, and the Bible says that we're all have a royal priesthood, and that's our identity. We're supposed to be the priests back in the day. That’s who we are walking tents in our identity. My only thought of a priest was a bald guy with a collar.

So, he says, pastor. I'm like, pastor, what is that? He told me I’m here for you and I'm thinking, whatever, I’m in jail. He’s like, look, I was sitting in a car, my ex-wife was still on drugs. She came by, we got into an argument. The neighbors called the cops. She is in the car, she throws the stuff down. And they come and I get arrested. But I'm going to get out of here. The next day, I come out of my cell and I see this guy because I ignored him that day. But the next day, he's on his face kind of prostate down, like bowing down in worship unto the Lord. I'm like, what is he doing? So, I wait for him but he never gets up. I go downstairs, I work out, I eat, I go in the shower, get out of shower. I looked, he's still not getting up. It's about an hour. He finally gets up and I call him and ask him, what were you doing? He says, I'm praying. The only thing I ever knew about prayer was our Father in heaven, hallowed be thy name thy kingdom come right say it in English, say it in Spanish Hail Mary, full of grace … say about three or four those and you're good. I asked him, hey, were you saying the Our Father for an hour? And he's like, no, I was talking to Him. He told me about how to how to read the Bible to read the Bible. I said, No. He said, go in there and read it. So, I began to read the Bible that night, and I stayed up all night long. And I said, man, that was so good. He said, what did you get out of it? I said, God. He said, no, you’ve got to chew that thing. He said, remember when you first came into prison, you got your store and they gave you a Snickers bar. You open that Snickers bar and it was the only one you had. You didn't have 15 of them, so you had to make sure it lasted. So, you took a bite, and you closed the Snickers bar and you put it to the side and you just chewed that piece of Snickers until you enjoyed every single bit of that candy bar. You got to taste the layers of it. He said that’s how you read your Bible. You you have to digest this Word. I'm like man. So, I get out you know that's my story right there when it comes to selling drugs and all that stuff. When I get out, it’s like Jonah got spit out of the mouth of the whale. I got spit out of the mouth of the jail.

Some people see a witch with a pot. The enemy is such a liar. He gets you to consume the lie. So, if you could get you to look around for a guy with some horns and dressed in red skin. If he gets you to think that that's the devil, then he got you. If he gets you to think that witches just have a pot and they're stirring it with their little witch's hat, which, you know, from what I hear from my good brother John Ramirez … he's been in some of those places but just as much as that. we can't forget that there's a witchcraft that doesn't wear a hat. And there is an enemy that's not just in red, he looks like a drug dealer.
