For the last two thousand years people have been anxiously trying to analyze who the Antichrist might be and when he might be revealed. Many people have made preposterous claims, and of course, they have been wrong. To make matters worse, we now live in an era when, for the first time, we have the possibility of an artificial intelligence Antichrist, a human computer hybrid that will demand to be worshipped.

Author and minister Mark Biltz, the founder of el Shaddai Ministries, wants you to understand the methods of the Antichrist so you won’t be deceived. He and host Dr. Steve Greene have a candid discussion about Biltz’s new book, Decoding the Antichrist and the End Times.

Introduction

There are many things in our walk with Jesus that are just hard to understand. The natural hand does not receive the things of God. Proverbs 2 reminds us to store up my commands with you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding. For wisdom will enter your heart. I love that prayer. I love the promise. I want to pray it more often. And I'm going to suggest to all my listeners that you do that as well. It's a great prayer request. May wisdom enter our heart. I want to know more about the Lord. I want to know him, yes, through His presence and through the reading of His Word. But I also need to understand more of life by understanding His heart more clearly. So much pastoral counseling time is spent in an attempt to help others cope with life and what God is doing or not doing. Leaders must make something out of nothing. Every day, every meeting, we've got to help people understand that there's a God involved in this and he has a purpose and a plan. We must bring open ears to questions that aren't easily answered. Most of the questions that I get asked are difficult. It's a hard saying. It's also a heavy load to help our team to understand why things should be done in a certain way. It seems like we're always needing to explain ourselves and why we want certain things done certain ways. My dad had a unique answer that worked for him. He just said, because I said so. That's the way it went back in the 50s and 60s, and I still think there are times when that's about all we get from our questions to the Lord as we pray and ask. We just get that these are true sayings; just obey. There are signs and wonders in these latter days that are simply difficult to explain. But if we as leaders turn our people back into the Word, that's where they are going to find answers. I hate to be depended upon as the answer man. I want to lead our people to God. who has the answers. So, we've always got to be mindful of pointing people to the one who reigns forever and the one who will give the finite answer. It's a mystery now, but then we shall know in full.

Dr. Steve Greene: Speaking of things which require a lot of understanding, my guest today is Mark Biltz. He's a pastor, a man of God, a good writer. He’s just got so much to talk to us about. Among other things, we're going to be discussing the Super Blood Wolf Moon that's going to be in our northern hemisphere skies between the night of this coming Sunday, January 20 and 21st. I don't want to miss the opportunity also to tell our listeners that you have a new book coming out in March and we at Charisma are excited to publish your book. It's Decoding the Antichrist and the End Times, and that's a mouthful. That's a whole lot. I love the subhead too, pastor, ‘Will the Real Antichrist Please Stand Up.’ That's intriguing.

Mark Biltz: Yeah, it really is. Because as I've part of the book, I discussed the Islamic view of end times, which most Christians are familiar with. I've discussed the Jewish view of end timez, which most Christians are familiar with as well as I just lightly touched on the Christian view of end times because everyone knows that. But each religion has their own Messiah, anti-Messiah,  false prophets, so I think it's so interesting that for the Islamic view of end times their antichrist so to speak is the Jewish Messiah. And for the Jewish end time view, their antichrist, so to speak, is the Christian’s Messiah. For many Christians, their antichrist is going to be the Islamic Messiah so it's like wow, we're going to have all these different prophets and people running around and Islam even believes that there are two Jesus’ who arrive on the scene; the fake Jesus and the real Jesus. And they say the way they'll be able to identify the fake Jesus is the fact that He loves the Jewish people, the real Jesus won’t.

Dr. Steve Greene: I sure want our listeners to know the book is coming. I'm going to ask you to come back when your book releases in early March and make sure we have a good thorough discussion about the end times. I can't wait to hear your spin on it.

Mark Biltz: Oh, yeah. Well, thanks. I just wanted to say one thing that I bring out in the book to me that's so important. When we're looking at the different concepts is the difference … the definition in English of the word king where God is our king, that's really a bad translation that the Hebrew word is melek. What we need to understand when we think of a king we think of some tyrannical death bot who wants to control and manipulate everybody. But in Hebrew the word melek means a type of king who leads and rules by love. He only accepts volunteers into His kingdom. For me, I think that's so phenomenal that we have a God who loves us. And that's how he wants to lead us.

Dr. Steve Greene: For now, I want you to tell us a little bit about this blood moon we're going to see Sunday night.

Mark Biltz: I think it's absolutely incredible. Everyone's familiar with an eclipse. But what makes this different is it's a super moon. And what that means is the moon's orbit around the Earth is elliptical. Whenever there's a full moon and it's at its closest point in its orbit, it looks real big that's called a super moon. So here we have a super moon that is also a blood moon. It's also called a wolf moon, because it's the first full moon of the year in January.

Dr. Steve Greene: What does that have to do with a wolf?

Mark Biltz: The wolf likes to howl at the full moon. And so I guess that’s the first one of the year.

Dr. Steve Greene: Okay. I thought there was some more significance. So, you've explained that that's good. So go ahead and tell us more.

Mark Biltz: To me, the most significant thing is when it falls. I have to start with Genesis 1:14, when God created the sun and the moon and the stars. We always think He did it for light or heat, which was a reason. But he defines the real reason. He says he created them for signs. That is the number one reason in Genesis 1:14. He created them for signs or signals. And then it says for seasons, days and years. But the English translation is so bad because that word that is translated as seasons, that same Hebrew word in Leviticus 23, is translated as the word feast. When I think of seasons, I think of summer, spring, winter and fall. When I think of a feast, I think of food. But it's the same Hebrew word. So, which translation is correct? Well, they're actually both not completely correct. The Hebrew word actually means divine appointments. And so God created the sun and the moon for the Jewish calendar. See, our calendar is based completely on the sun. The Islamic calendar is based completely on the moon.  But God said both the sun and the moon were to work in tandem together, they are like his two faithful witnesses in the sky of the divine appointments, when Israel to celebrate them. And that's why they would always celebrate the new moon because their calendar is based on the new moon. Well guess what? You can only have a total solar eclipse on a new moon. Then you can only have a total lunar eclipse on a full moon, which is always in the middle of the month, the 15th on the biblical calendar. And so what did God?  Rosh Hashanah is on the first. So, when their solar eclipse is on Rosh Hashanah, God is trying to communicate something. Well, the Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles got scheduled on full moons so that whenever there's eclipses on full moons, and again on his calendar, that's when we know He's trying to communicate something.
