It’s probably already doing that. Tell us first before we lose anyone about your websites. There are two great places they can keep up with you. Where are they?

Michael Snyder: Yes, of right now. And why is this happening? Well, you go back to the early spring, since the early spring, we've had this pattern, just crazy weather patterns in the middle of the country where rainstorm after rain storm after rain storm have come. We had a couple super cells come in in the middle of the country and just dump enormous amount of rain and snow. So, what’s happened is the middle of the country we've seen flooding basically for the last several months along the Missouri River, the Mississippi River, and even when there hasn't been flooding, the ground is absolutely drenched. Right now, the entire state of Illinois is between the 90th and 99th percentile in terms of soil moisture. When the ground is just soaking wet, farmers can't get their seeds in the ground. So, that's a major, major problem. What we're looking at right now is farmers have not been able to plant at the level that they normally would be. The very latest number that we have, at this point, only 30 percent of all U.S. cornfields have been planted. At this point, the five-year average, the average of the previous five years at this point is 66 percent. So, we're less than half of where we would normally be at this time of the year. This is a huge problem for corn farmers because what's coming up is there's deadlines for insurance companies. If you want crop insurance, you have to have your corn in the ground by certain dates, and in certain areas those dates already passed and on the warmer areas they are coming up very, very quickly. But for everywhere, the last date is June 5. If farmers don't get their corn in the ground by June 5, they're not going to be eligible for crop insurance. In addition, for every day after May 15 that they delay planting corn, the yield that they get at the end of the year of the harvest is reduced by 2 percent. So, corn farmers need to get their crops in the ground immediately. But it's not able to happen because the ground is so wet. And now another huge storm is coming to the middle part of the country starting on Friday to dump massive amounts of rain. So, it is really a huge disaster and the mainstream media on the east and west coast hasn't really been covering this.

Dr. Steve Greene: Why, what haven’t they been talking about this?

Michael Snyder: I don't know. They're so focused on President Trump constantly and they're focused and on other things. To the elites on the East Coast and the West Coast, the middle of the country is flyover country and they think, well, OK, they flooded a little bit, but they'll be fine. They'll get back to normal. But the truth is, lots of farmers aren't going to get back to normal. In fact, we've seen farm bankruptcies already rise to the highest level since the last recession. Thousands and thousands of farmers are absolutely financially devastated. Then of course, the trade war which we can tie in with China, which China, they are a huge importer of our soybeans, and then because of the trade war, they haven't been buying nearly as many, so soybeans have been piling up. The price of soybeans is the lowest it has been in a decade; it’s just financially devastating to soybean farmers. So, that's a huge deal. Then earlier this year, back in March when the flooding came along the Missouri River, it came so fast and it came with so much actually ice was pushed onto these farms … it was just so fast and so catastrophic that our agriculture on the federal level, our Agriculture Secretary, he says that as many as a million calves may have been lost in Nebraska alone, the state of Nebraska alone, because of this catastrophic kind of sudden flooding that happened, killed the cows. But it's mostly killed the young ones. I mean, the devastation we’ve seen in the middle of the country has been horrific. It’s been in the mainstream media some, but really this has been a pretty much the biggest story of 2019 so far.

Dr. Steve Greene: What can we do now as praying Christians? I want you to think about that for a moment. I want to understand how this is going to affect our food tables. The price of corn, the price of meat, what do you see coming, because we know it's coming, are they already taking profit margins down and increasing them to cover. What's happening in the food chain?

Michael Snyder: Obviously with a lot less corn being planted, there's going to be a lot less corn come harvest time. So, just the nature of supply and demand. When there's a smaller amount of supply but the demand still going to be there because we still gotta eat. We're still hungry, we still eat food. We can try to switch some other things, some consumers can, but prices are going to go up on that. Then in addition, we've got this African swine fever, which is absolutely devastating the pork industry in China where one firm estimated recently, it was reported on CNBC, that China … this African swine fever because there's no vaccine, there's no cure, and once one pig on a farm gets it pretty much most of the pigs are either going to die or they're gonna be culled to prevent the spread of the disease to other farms. So, at this point, it is being estimated that the total losses of pigs in China is going to be between 150 and 200 million this year alone. That comes from CNBC. To put that in perspective, that's more pigs than the entire U.S. pork industry produces in an entire year. So, basically the equivalent of a whole year of the U.S. pork industry has been wiped out. Now it's spread to other countries: Vietnam, Cambodia, South Africa. It’s actually starting to spread all over the world and U.S. pork producers are definitely afraid that this could happen here. But that's going to dramatically increase the price of pork and we're already seeing that in the marketplace. What we're seeing is a number of things have hit food production. One of the reasons this alarms me so much is because, you know me I'm a charismatic Christian, I'm a spirit filled believer. And there have been a number of men and women of God that have warned that as we move into the future, we're going to see higher food prices.

One of them I'm sure your audience is very familiar with is John Paul Jackson. He was a wonderful, wonderful man of God and has since passed away. But my wife and I considered him a mentor. About a decade ago, he did a DVD titled The Perfect Storm where he warned the people. He said, you know what, what I'm about to tell you in this DVD is not for now. But most of its for about a decade from now. So, basically our time. In that video, he described economic, political, geophysical and a whole bunch of different things … a great shaking, a chaos, upheaval that was going to come not just the United States, but the whole world about a decade from that point. Then a few years later, he did an update in which he revealed some of the prophetic headlines that the Lord had revealed to him about America's future. Some of the things he saw, one of the headlines was, Cisco Company and Kraft considers guards on delivery trucks as food nears 40 percent of the family budget. So, he actually, the Lord revealed to him that, some day, food companies would actually put armed guards on food trucks because food gotten so expensive and so valuable. So, that's the kind of thing men and women of God have seen coming in the future. Now, we're seeing the stage being set for that in the exact timeframe prophetically that John Paul Jackson said the Lord showed him to warn the people about. So, the headlines of today are fitting exactly into the prophetic picture that we've been watching and concerned about and watching for the future. As charismatic, spirit-filled Christians, that's something that we should be watching very, very carefully.

Dr. Steve Greene: I agree. The pastor in me and the leader says we've got to warn. We've got to tell people louder and more clearly. I'm not sure the church is ready to hear this. I know that there are people, certainly the charismatics, we know, we study prophecy. But the mainline church isn't listening to this kind of news and want their ears tickled.

Michael Snyder: Yeah, there's so much out there today, people want to be optimistic. They don't want it. Sometimes when people bring a warning message, they say, well, you are doom and gloom. My wife and I, sometimes people say, oh, you and your wife, you must be down and out all the time. We're not actually. We're extremely optimistic people. We believe the greatest chapters of our lives are still to come. We believe that even in the midst of whatever chaos and darkness and troubled times are coming that the greatest move of God in the history of the world is coming and we're very excited about the future. We're not on any pills. We're not down or depressed. We're very happy, upbeat people. But when God sends a warning, we believe that people need to be aware. God has sent the nation so many warnings to repent. The nation has not repented. In fact, we keep running the exact opposite direction. As a result, God gives us a choice, blessings or curses, and we are choosing to go against His ways and that's going to have consequences.
