Introduction

Hello, America. Very recently President Donald Trump gave his State of the Union address. It was an exciting time, and he did a great job. I was actually on live with the Kenneth Copeland Ministries, Believers Voice of Victory Network, and we were analyzing it; anticipating it before the speech, analyzing it after the speech, even with the Democratic response. And that was an exciting time and I hope you were able to tune in. Then I was on a radio program up in Michigan. They were asking me for my opinion, too. But while all this was going on, I was texting back and forth with Paula White Cain, who you may know has a very close friendship with the president and has been able to influence him for the Lord over the years. I asked her if she would fit in a podcast with me. While she was rushing around in Washington, D.C., we fit in a quick phone interview that I think you'll find fascinating. Here is my phone call with Paula White Cain and I will add some of my own commentary at the end.

The Strang Report Newsletter: Paula White Cain: Trump’s Anointed SOTU Address Must Prompt Us to Pray!

Stephen Strang: Paula, today is an exciting day in Washington and you're right there in the center of things. First of all, tell me what you thought of the State of the Union message last night.

Trump’s State of the Union Address

·         Evangelicals, Trump, Abortion and the State of the Union

·         Donald Trump: All Children—Born and Unborn—Are Made in the Holy Image of God

·         President Trump Just Proved He Gets It

Paula White Cain: I believe the State of the Union was profound. We really saw and heard the heart of our president. As a person who's known him and has been his spiritual advisor for 18 years, it was very easily for me to detect His compassion, his value system. I would say he hit it out of the park. He had all the key message points. I would absolutely say it was flawless. I mean that as an American, as a believer, as someone that he started out, of course, talking about one United States in America. And we know that that is a fundamental principle of the Word of God. Anytime Satan wants to come in, he does that through division. Just from start to finish, it was absolutely astounding. And I would go even further to say that he was anointed last night. Now, I personally know that there are literally millions of people that have been activated in the United States of America and around the world that yesterday we're praying, fasting and holding our president up, that he would be the mouthpiece that God would breathe through and keep things that were so important to us. I was extremely grateful that he hit the horrific atrocities that we're facing. It's 19 states that are looking at full-term abortion, but I think there was an awakening when Cuomo came out with just that that smile, that smirk on his face. It really caused people to have an eye-opening experience, or perhaps a veil has been removed. To see that after child is born five minutes, and we say this is human, six minutes earlier that law was signed …. in 1956, they're putting crosses on the Empire State Building and they're celebrating with pink on the Empire State Building saying that we celebrate literally the murder of a child. Of course he touched on current things that we're dealing with, with our immigration, the economy booming in every area. Undeniable facts. You can have whatever feeling you want, but it is absolutely undeniable that the economy is the best especially among all people; raising that middle class income, etc.; creating a healthy economy. We see it in the Asian community, Hispanic community, African-American community, the white community, it is across the board. He’s protecting the American workers. Of course, who he calls on Congress to protect workers and replacing NAFTA. We personally helped work on some of the Mexico-Canada agreement. Israel, he briefly mentioned about the Middle East peace plan, all the things that are so important; to the little girl and her name escapes me, but my heart just sank as she sat next to our elegant amazing First Lady, and has raised $40,000 for children with cancer. She gave to St. Jude since she was four years old. He talked about what we want to do for research with cancer and children’s cancer and lowering the cost of health care. It just goes on and on; creating a safe and legal immigration. I'm glad he said a word that was so key. He said business, because that's what it is. We have 131 centers that house what would be illegal immigrants that are called Coming Over. That's not asylum. That is a backlog at 970,000. We know how complex the situation is … personally been there, personally sent many of my staff and much my team not only to the centers that we are working with what is currently in our nation to help with some of the children. I like to consider it faith initiative and opportunity that the President created. It is the faith base of the White House, as the heart and soul. While there is law and order, there's also compassion. What do we do with people who are here and these children that have been through some of these atrocities. One of the first things I learned was that there was a dead assessment amidst their heads, and that it is human trafficking and sex trafficking. He rightfully called that out as a business. Celebrating women; I had to laugh at that. You saw all the statements, the white garb and everything.

Stephen Strang: The white garb had to do with the suffragettes and when they got the right to vote 100 years ago. But they were sitting there looking at each other; do we stand? Nancy Pelosi signaled they could stand and then they were pumping the air with their arms and turning around like you would if you were cheering a basketball team. It was the funniest moment of the evening as far as I was concerned.

Paula White Cain: I couldn't agree with you more. I looked at John and it was like, you've got to be kidding me. As a female that's been a ministry for 34 years, we understand there has been challenges and there are some things that have been an uphill climb for many women. We have many heroic women that have paved paths. But there's also a biblical way to pave that path. There's also a right way to pave a path and anytime you do it God's way and you pave a path and it is done the right way, we do celebrate the great accomplishments of women. I think it's wonderful that we have women in Congress. But it's not just having a woman, let's have the right women. God is very clear about leadership and much beyond just gender specific. Years ago, I know your company put out a book, one of the greatest books that was written by Lee Grady, about women in ministry. There are so many misunderstandings, maybe from a theological standpoint and other standpoints. But the key is it's not just that you’re a woman, it’s that you’re woman who is a good leader and that is vitally important.

Stephen Strang: And has also what we would call conservative values. It was interesting that in previous years, the Democrats sat through everything he said. This year, there were a few things they could not avoid standing and cheering. This President is a communicator. He is a leader, he is a visionary, he casts a vision. I agree with you, 100 percent. Since we don't have a lot of time, tell me about this incredible day that you had in Washington, D.C. I mean, it's just fascinating.

Paula White Cain: Lots of activity. I was up here like two times last week. I had meeting with the President and with other people on immigration. We know the problems and this is a solutions-driven President. So, what are the solutions? Hearing from all different communities; law and order, faith, the Hispanic community, on and on and on. I also had a few other meetings and then today, I started my morning at five o'clock. We went to the South Korean (meeting) actually headed and chaired by Dr. Lee who is now the senior pastor of Dr. Paul Young Cho’s church. Had many different diplomats and pastors and people; there must have been about 1,000 people or so, everyone ranging from the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association to people from all over the world. We do know that this is, again, our president being solution-driven. This is at the forefront of Secretary Pompeo and our president to see a complete denuclearization. I was glad to hear him say last night with the meeting coming up, we all must need to be activated in prayer. I just reiterate that over and over. We know that it is prayer. I believe it has brought an awakening to many believers in this nation and it is carrying not only this nation but the decisions of this administration. Secretary Pompeo is a strong-believing Christian and he is absolutely concerned about North Korea and wants to see the complete denuclearization along with our president. What's going on in China, that's at the forefront. All over the world we see things happening that are just vitally important. What's taking place in Israel, the Middle East and continuing on, standing up for democracy and Venezuela. I would say that people got to see the man that I know, the man that before we called him President Trump, the man that has a strong value system, the man that is not afraid. I liked his tone when he said, I will get the wall built.
