Discerning Your Season: Most Christians Get This Wrong
Are you living in God’s appointed season—or stuck in a suggested one? In this powerful message, Apostle Mike Signorelli reveals the rhythm of wisdom that most believers miss. Drawing from Ecclesiastes 3, Numbers 14, and Luke 12, he exposes how confusion, fear, and delay keep us from stepping into God’s timing.

Discern the season you're in.
Speaker ADiscern the season that you're in.
Speaker ASo we're gonna go through this, and you can use a pen, you can use your notes and your phone, but write this down, and it's gonna help you.
Speaker ASo D is discern the season that you're in.
Speaker ANow, the O stands for observe and fully embrace today.
Speaker AObserve and fully embrace today.
Speaker ASo next week, we're gonna work on understanding how to observe and how to fully embrace today.
Speaker AToday.
Speaker ASo that's gonna be part two of this series, and then part three.
Speaker AAm I going too fast?
Speaker APart three of this teaching series is going to be a combination of the S and the E, which is S stands for stand.
Speaker AStay faithful in small things.
Speaker AStay faithful in small things.
Speaker AStay faithful in small things.
Speaker AAnd then the E stands for execute with consistency and intentionality.
Speaker AExecute with consistency and intentionality.
Speaker ASome of you are like, my hand already hurts from writing.
Speaker AI haven't felt like this since school.
Speaker ABut we're gonna be teaching through this.
Speaker ASo discern the season you're in.
Speaker AObserve and fully embrace today.
Speaker AStay faithful in the small things.
Speaker AAnd then execute with consistency and intentionality.
Speaker ACan somebody just say amen to that?
Speaker AThis first week is entitled the Rhythm of Wisdom.
Speaker AThe rhythm.
Speaker AEverybody say that with me.
Speaker AThe rhythm of wisdom.
Speaker AEverybody say discern.
Speaker AMost people that you meet do not have discernment.
Speaker AThey have criticism.
Speaker AYou haven't met a lot of people with discernment, but you've met a lot of critical people.
Speaker AAs a matter of fact, if I could diagnose the body of Christ right now is we have a lot of people claiming discernment who just have triggers, wounds, and criticisms.
Speaker AIf I was gonna name this sermon something else, it would be how to discern your God given season.
Speaker AWhy do we use discernment for other people, but we never use it for ourself?
Speaker ADiscernment should be developed internally before it's distributed externally.
Speaker ACome on, y'.
Speaker AAll.
Speaker ACan I just rewind that back?
Speaker ADiscernment should be developed internally before it's distributed extern.
Speaker AAnd you got people who want to distribute more discernment externally than they want to develop internally.
Speaker AIn other words, they're an expert on how other people sin, but not their own sin.
Speaker ASo this is the rhythm of wisdom, and it starts with discernment.
Speaker AAnd we're going to look at some scriptural focus to help us understand these concepts.
Speaker ABut before we jump in and you can already start to turn to Ecclesiastes, chapter three, and we're gonna look at that first Ecclesiastes Chapter three.
Speaker AAnd we're gonna start in the Old Testament and then we're go over to the New Testament because I believe in a whole Bible approach, meaning you should see the continuity between the Old and New Testament in these narratives.
Speaker ASo we're gonna go to Ecclesiastes chapter 3, written by what the Bible determined is the most wise person to ever live.
Speaker AAnd we're gonna start there.
Speaker ANow, before we do though, can I just tell you that we have to grow in our ability to discern what season we're in.
Speaker ASo let's go take the discernment a little bit deeper.
Speaker ANow it's discerning what season we're in, discerning what season we are in.
Speaker AAnd we need to increase in our ability to do that.
Speaker AAnd, and here's the main thing.
Speaker ACould it be that you are not burned out because you're doing the wrong things?
Speaker AIt's that you're doing the wrong things in the wrong season.
Speaker ACould it be that you're not exhausted because of what you're doing?
Speaker AIt's when you're doing it and what season you're doing it.
Speaker ASo we have to discern the seasons.
Speaker AThe seasons.
Speaker AAnd those seasons are marked by transition.
Speaker ASo let's look at Ecclesiastes chapter three.
Speaker AAnd we're gonna read verses one through eight.
Speaker ASo Ecclesiastes chapter three, verse one through eight.
Speaker AAnd here's why it's important.
Speaker AIt says for everything there is a season.
Speaker AEverybody say season.
Speaker AThis is a biblical term that I want us to.
Speaker ASo if you, you don't have to write in your Bible.
Speaker AIf you write in your Bible, you can underline the word season and a time for every matter under heaven.
Speaker AHow many of you are under heaven right now?
Speaker AOkay, that's all of you.
Speaker AYou're not dead.
Speaker ASo we're all under heaven.
Speaker AA time to be born and a time to die.
Speaker AWhat if I told you anxiety is when fear tries to convince you of a different season.
Speaker AAnxiety says you're going to die when it's not your season to die, it's fear's lie about what season you're in?
Speaker AOh yeah, you're going to die, but not yet.
Speaker ASo when fear tells you it's gonna happen now, that produces anxiety.
Speaker AWhat if I told you that lust and perversion and one night stands is what happens when you do the right thing in the wrong season?
Speaker AA season of singleness should be paired with purity and isolation for preparation.
Speaker ABut what happens is when you have the act of sex within the wrong Season.
Speaker ASee, in one season, sex will actually edify and build you up.
Speaker ABut in the wrong season, sex.
Speaker AThe Bible says that lust and perversion will actually cause you to sin against your own body.
Speaker ASo sex out of season is destructive, but sex in season will build you up.
Speaker ASo this is what I'm saying.
Speaker AWe need to increase in wisdom concerning seasons and times.
Speaker ASo everybody say discern.
Speaker AThis is your daily dose.
Speaker AYour daily dose.
Speaker ASo when you wake up, you're asking yourself, what are we going to do today, Pinky?
Speaker AThe same thing we do every day, brain.
Speaker AOr, you know, or whatever.
Speaker AIt's been a while, brain.
Speaker AWhat are we going to do today, brain.
Speaker AThat's what it was.
Speaker ASo you're asking yourself, what's my season?
Speaker ASo it's lust before you're married, and it's passion afterwards.
Speaker AAre y' all with me?
Speaker ASo you gotta.
Speaker AIt's wisdom.
Speaker AKnows where to place things.
Speaker AIt's about the appropriate.
Speaker AOkay, let's go deeper.
Speaker AI want to look at the text.
Speaker AFor everything, everybody say everything.
Speaker AFor everything, there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven.
Speaker AA time to be born and a time to die.
Speaker AA time to plant and a time to pluck up what is planted.
Speaker ANow, let's break this down.
Speaker AWhen you look at the phrase appointed time, it's a Hebrew word.
Speaker AZ E M A N. Z E M A N. And it means appointed time.
Speaker AKemmel, I'm giving you a chance to write this down.
Speaker AWhen you look at this verse, it says appointed time, Z E M A N. And I'm gonna break this word down because it helps us get at a revelation.
Speaker AOkay, can I just preach this for 30 seconds?
Speaker AIt does not mean suggested time.
Speaker AIt means appointed time.
Speaker AAnd some of you are living off a suggestion, not appointment.
Speaker ASee, Christians are living off of suggestions from their spouse, suggestions from their friends, suggestions from Instagram, suggestions from the Internet.
Speaker AAre you in a suggested season or an appointed season?
Speaker AOh, man.
Speaker AOkay.
Speaker ANo, I'm serious.
Speaker ALike, give me one of those microphones.
Speaker AI was gonna bring my road mic.
Speaker AMaybe my wife still has time to bring it.
Speaker ABut here's the thing.
Speaker ALet's talk about this.
Speaker ASee, there's a lot of people that are using this.
Speaker AIt's the right calling in the wrong season because it was suggested by them that they should do this.
Speaker AIt was suggested, not appointed.
Speaker AAnd if you take what's suggested before it's appointed, a blessing becomes a curse.
Speaker AIt's the right microphone in the wrong season.
Speaker AIt's the right sermon in the wrong season, it's the right messenger in the wrong season.
Speaker AIt's about the appointed time, not the suggested time.
Speaker AAnd so listen, if you take the microphone and start a podcast, you'll have audio but not authority.
Speaker ABut let me counterbalance that.
Speaker AIf God told you to start the podcast and you're supposed to do it and you don't do it, you'll have authority, but no audio.
Speaker ASo it's about wisdom.
Speaker AOh, come on.
Speaker AIs this good?
Speaker AIs this good?
Speaker AIt's about wisdom, because beware of somebody who never tells you to preach, but beware of somebody telling you to preach out of season.
Speaker AIt's about wisdom.
Speaker AThis is what the body of Christ needs in this era.
Speaker AAnd I'm speaking as an apostle right now to many of you because we have to administrate.
Speaker AAdministrate doesn't mean to diminish, and it doesn't mean to.
Speaker AOh, Lord, help me delete.
Speaker AIt means to develop.
Speaker ASo some ministries diminish, some ministries delete, but a healthy ministry develops.
Speaker ACan I say it again?
Speaker ABecause y' all are leading ground crews, and you're leading flight crews, and you're doing this.
Speaker AYou're.
Speaker AYou don't diminish somebody.
Speaker AYou don't delete somebody's calling, but you help them develop.
Speaker AIt's about the wisdom of discerning the time.
Speaker ADevelop, develop, develop.
Speaker AOkay, let me put my.
Speaker ADid that help you?
Speaker AOkay, maybe my wife will bring my podcast mic if she's okay.
Speaker ASo, Zeman Z E M A n. Can we go deeper on this Hebrew word?
Speaker AOkay, this is so good.
Speaker AIn Ecclesiastes, chapter 3, verse 1, in the Hebrew roots, it means its own time for everything.
Speaker ASo, hey, for those of you who are on fire with sexual passion without a place to utilize it, it's only a season.
Speaker AIt's only a season.
Speaker AFor those of you who are married saying, where did that passion go?
Speaker ACome to the marriage conference next month.
Speaker ABut when you go deeper on this word, it means.
Speaker AIt's a verb that means to agree together.
Speaker ASo appointed versus suggested has to do with agreement.
Speaker AI'm gonna say this real slow because I.
Speaker ASimple is not the same as simple.
Speaker ASimple is not the same as being dumb.
Speaker AIt's just.
Speaker AIt could be simple yet profound.
Speaker ASo I want us to meditate on the word because it's a matter of fact.
Speaker AIt's not the volume.
Speaker AA lot of people are like, I'm reading the whole Bible this year.
Speaker AYeah.
Speaker AHow much of it did you understand and how much of it did you obey?
Speaker AA good sermon can spend 40 minutes on one scripture that everybody understands and obeys.
Speaker ASo it's not how much scripture can I dispense, it's how much can you make people understand and obey?
Speaker ASo we're gonna go through the word of God, but I want us to stay here for a little while to really get this in our spirit.
Speaker ABecause when you look at this, it says Ecclesiastes 3.
Speaker AOne means its own time for everything.
Speaker AAnd then if you go back to look at the Hebrew word, it actually says to agree together.
Speaker ASo in other words, it's not a suggested time, it's an appointed time that you must come in agreement with.
Speaker AWhat if I told you that most of your discouragement is you not being in agreement with what God appointed for right now?
Speaker AY' all with me.
Speaker AYou're not in agreement with what God appointed right now.
Speaker AAnd that's why, now let's give you a New Testament reference.
Speaker AThe fruits of the spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, long suffering.
Speaker ABecause what the fruits of the spirit are is the result of coming into agreement with what God appointed.
Speaker AI bear the fruit of long suffering because I came into agreement with what God appointed for this season.
Speaker AI bear the fruit of patience, because I came into agreement with what God appointed for this season.
Speaker ABut you don't bear fruit without agreement.
Speaker AThe seed has to agree with the soil.
Speaker AThe rain has to agree with the seed.
Speaker AThere has to be a convergence of agreement for that thing to germinate and come up out of the soil and bear fruit.
Speaker AI'm trying to help you right now.
Speaker ASo what does that mean?
Speaker AKeep going.
Speaker AI love this, too, because in the Jewish culture, they have schools called yeshiva, and that's basically their school that the children attend.
Speaker AAnd I love this because in yeshiva, they use the term zemin to refer to as a semester.
Speaker ASo it's almost like God's saying, okay, let's back up.
Speaker AHow many of you have ever had reoccurring dreams that you're back in school and you wake up and you're like, that's the worst nightmare.
Speaker AAm I the only one?
Speaker ASo we have these dreams that were in school.
Speaker ASo this Hebrew word that we're looking at, in Ecclesiastes, it refers to.
Speaker AIn Yeshiva, they use this same word to refer to as the semester.
Speaker ASo now let me read Ecclesiastes chapter 3, verse 1.
Speaker ALet's look at this Scripture again.
Speaker AFor.
Speaker AFor everything, there is a semester.
Speaker ASo if there's a semester, that makes you a student.
Speaker AAre you passing or failing?
Speaker ABecause if you don't pass your semester, you don't go on to the next semester you repeat.
Speaker ASo is it God doing it to you, or is it God allowing you to learn from it?
Speaker AIs it.
Speaker AOh, come on.
Speaker AYou could be alive long enough to technically be in 12th grade, but only be in 6th grade by virtue of how much you passed.
Speaker AAnd so you don't pass because you get older.
Speaker AYou pass because you learn.
Speaker AYou pass because you succeeded in those lessons.
Speaker AAnd you got some Christians that are 40 years old biologically in the fourth grade, spiritually because.
Speaker AAnd just because everybody else gives you a cap and gown doesn't make that a real graduation.
Speaker AJust because other Christians call you mature doesn't make you mature.
Speaker AJust because other people say you're powerful doesn't mean you're powerful.
Speaker AJust because.
Speaker ACome on, somebody.
Speaker ABecause they don't have the authority to distribute the caps and gowns, only God does.
Speaker AAnd so what happens is people exempt themselves from a semester and transfer to another school full of flunkies because they'd rather have people confirm their mediocrity than call them up to godly greatness.
Speaker ACome on, I'm speaking wisdom.
Speaker AIt's a three part series.
Speaker AIt's like Netflix.
Speaker AListen to all three.
Speaker AOkay, so is this helping you?
Speaker ASo that's all.
Speaker AEcclesiastes, chapter three, verse one.
Speaker ANow I wanna tie this in with an additional Old Testament reference and you can look at numbers, chapter 14.
Speaker ANumbers, chapter 14.
Speaker ANow what is happening in numbers, chapter 14?
Speaker AI'm gonna show you because it's going to help you and your mama and your brother and your sister.
Speaker AIt's going to help you.
Speaker AOkay, numbers 14, I love it.
Speaker ABecause in the ESV, the heading over numbers 14 is the people rebel.
Speaker AThen all the congregation raised a loud voice and the people wept that night.
Speaker AAnd all the people of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron.
Speaker AAnd they didn't grumble against God, they grumbled against God's authority.
Speaker AIt's more likely people are gonna be mad at Pastor Mike than God, because there's something about immature people blame leaders instead of actually having conversations with the Father.
Speaker ASo you notice there's a template for complainers is they always complain about God's delegated authority.
Speaker AAnd they just.
Speaker AIt's almost like in numbers 14, they distributed their discernment outwardly instead of inwardly.
Speaker AIt's almost like the intro of this message.
Speaker AIt's almost like I'm discerning something about Moses and Aaron.
Speaker ABut children of Israel, what do you see about you?
Speaker ADo you see this?
Speaker ASo then all of a sudden it says, would that we had died in the land of Egypt.
Speaker AOr would that we had died in this wilderness.
Speaker AWhy is the Lord bringing us into the land to fall by the sword?
Speaker ASo they're complaining our wives and our little ones will become prey.
Speaker AAnd list.
Speaker AThat's like the most potent excuse you can make.
Speaker ABut look at my little children.
Speaker ALook at my children.
Speaker AWho cares about my babies?
Speaker AIt's just when how many of you know that when we're complaining, we always pull out the biggest arsenal?
Speaker AIt's like, what's the thing that can really make people believe this complaint?
Speaker ASo they're really unloading that complaint.
Speaker AThen verse four says, and they said to one another, let us choose a leader and go back to Egypt.
Speaker ASo this is what happens when you don't know how to.
Speaker AOkay, let's bring it in.
Speaker AEverybody bring it in.
Speaker ACome back, come back.
Speaker AYour mind's been wandering.
Speaker ABring it back.
Speaker AThis is the template.
Speaker AWhen you don't understand the wisdom of Ecclesiastes 3, what happens is you spend more time discerning outward than discerning inward.
Speaker AThen what happens is, they said, let us choose for us a leader and go back to Egypt.
Speaker AYou change the leadership and you change the destination.
Speaker AYou change the leadership, you change the destination.
Speaker ANow let me tell you the effects of what happened when you look at numbers 14.
Speaker AThe Israelites had a window by which they could enter into the promised land.
Speaker ACause you know, it wasn't for Joshua, it was for Moses.
Speaker ABut they were in their semester and you're watching them fail their test.
Speaker ATheir test was even Moses and Aaron, with all of their faults and failures, was God's designated authority.
Speaker AAnd even though Canaan scares us to death, and even though we want comfortability, and even though we want things the way we want them, will we actually step into this thing?
Speaker AAnd what they did instead, instead of looking inward and developing inwardly, they looked outwardly on.
Speaker AThey chose for them.
Speaker AThey said, let us choose another leader and let's change the destination and go back.
Speaker AAnd I'm concerned because what I see happening is this very similar context in the body of Christ.
Speaker ABut what happens is they're paralyzed with fear.
Speaker AEverybody say fear.
Speaker AThis week I wanna challenge you in your daily growth journal.
Speaker AIn the back there's some additional pages and I want you to write all the decisions that you're struggling with right now.
Speaker AAnd I want you to take inventory of how many of the things you're getting ready to do out of fear.
Speaker ABecause most of us make fear based decisions as a default.
Speaker AAnd the body of Christ has to now grow in our Ability to make faith based decisions.
Speaker AFaith is the opposite of fear.
Speaker ASo when you take inventory this week and you're writing down the decisions, are you making a faith based decision or a fear based decision?
Speaker AAnd fear based decisions will always cause you to go back to Egypt, but faith based decisions will always cause you to go forward.
Speaker ASo faith based decisions will cause you to be uncomfortable.
Speaker AFear based decisions will make you go in the direction of comfort.
Speaker AAnd so they failed their test and they missed that window because they couldn't discern.
Speaker AAnd their delay turned into decades of wandering.
Speaker ASo delay turns into wandering, delay turns into wandering.
Speaker AAnd numbers 14 really shows us that happening.
Speaker ANow, are y' all good on numbers 14?
Speaker AOkay, now let's go over to Luke chapter 12.
Speaker ALet's go to Luke chapter 12.
Speaker AAnd this is gonna help you.
Speaker ALuke chapter 12.
Speaker AWe're gonna go all the way to the end of the chapter at verse 54.
Speaker ALuke chapter 12, verse 54.
Speaker AAnd it says, say amen when you found it.
Speaker AAll right, I'll give you a second.
Speaker ALuke, chapter 12, verse 54.
Speaker ANow, the heading again in the ESV translation that I have says, interpreting the time.
Speaker AInterpreting the time.
Speaker AHe also said to the crowds, this is Jesus.
Speaker AWhen you see a cloud rising in the west, you say, man, how appropriate with what's going on in California right now.
Speaker AHe's basically saying, when you see a cloud rising in the west, you say at once a shower is coming.
Speaker AAnd so it happens.
Speaker AAnd when you see the south wind blowing, you say, there will be scorching heat.
Speaker AAnd it happens.
Speaker AYou hypocrites.
Speaker AWhy, you know how to interpret the appearance of earth and sky, but why do you not know how to interpret the present time?
Speaker AIn other words, how is it that y' all know New York City's weather, but you don't know New York City's will from the Father?
Speaker AHow do you know the weather but not the will?
Speaker ABecause you spend more time looking at the clouds than you do looking at the sky.
Speaker AYou spend more time listening to the voice of a weatherman than listening to the voice of the one who made the weather.
Speaker AY' all with me?
Speaker AAnd so what Jesus is saying to them is woe to you.
Speaker ABecause you know the weather, but you don't know the season.
Speaker AYou don't know the time in which we're in.
Speaker AAnd so the thing I'm trying to help you understand is, oh, come on, Lord, help me with this message.
Speaker AWe need, as a body of Christ, to begin to pray.
Speaker AGod, if the Lord told me to evangelize I need to get out and evangelize.
Speaker AIf the Lord told me, remember what else?
Speaker AIt's not the suggested time.
Speaker AIt's the appointed time.
Speaker AIf the Lord appointed this Lord, I gotta be about it.
Speaker AIf my pastor said, stand up, if you're in the mountain of business, you better stand up, you better sign up, and you better show up.
Speaker ABecause when you meet with all those other entrepreneurs, you're stepping out of the suggested time into the appointed time.
Speaker AWhat you're saying is, I don't need another leader.
Speaker AI don't need to go back to Egypt.
Speaker AI got the word of the Lord, I stood up.
Speaker AAnd now I'm gonna sign up.
Speaker AAnd now I'm gonna show up.
Speaker AStand up, sign up, show up.
Speaker APut that in your notes.
Speaker AStand up, sign up, show up.
Speaker AWhy?
Speaker ABecause Moses and Aaron, Mike and Julie said, let's go into the promised land.
Speaker AAnd if you delay, delay will actually cause wandering.
Speaker AIt'll cause wandering.
Speaker ASo what does this look like for us?
Speaker AJesus is breaking this thing down.
Speaker AHe's like, you know the weather, but you can't discern God's will.
Speaker AFor right now.
Speaker AFor right now, how many of you feel an urgency in your spirit?
Speaker AHow many of you feel like this is 20, 20 repeating itself?
Speaker AHow many of you.
Speaker AI'm serious.
Speaker AI'm serious.
Speaker ALike, there's something.
Speaker AI go before the Father like, oh, Lord, help me to be nice.
Speaker AI want to be so mean.
Speaker AAre you studying the Bible because it's interesting to you?
Speaker AAre you making your own little pet projects in the word that are selfish?
Speaker AOr are you getting into the Scriptures to sharpen your sword, to go back into battle and swing that sword on the enemy's camp.
Speaker AYou get what I'm saying?
Speaker ABecause Christians are notorious for loading their gun and going to the gun range instead of going to the battle.
Speaker AOh, yeah, man, I hit the target.
Speaker AYeah, when it's not shooting back at you.
Speaker AYou know what I'm saying?
Speaker AOh, yeah, man.
Speaker AI'm an assassin.
Speaker AYeah, when nobody.
Speaker AYou're playing a video game, homie.
Speaker ACome out into the streets with me.
Speaker ANobody in your job even knows you're saved.
Speaker AYour family still thinks you smoke weed because you relapsed last Thanksgiving.
Speaker ACome on, homie, stop getting on.
Speaker ACome on.
Speaker AStop getting online and start getting in line.
Speaker ALet's go.
Speaker AI'm trying to help you.
Speaker AOkay, so now I've brought you through 14 scriptures, and I hope the legalistic ones of you think I've given you enough verses today, but let's give you some more.
Speaker AThe New York Times Covered a woman who quit a really high paying tech job because she was realizing she was in the wrong season.
Speaker AIt wasn't that it was the wrong job, it was the wrong job for that season.
Speaker AShe went on to start a non profit that now feeds thousands of children.
Speaker AI started this message by saying there's a rhythm of wisdom.
Speaker ASo some of you are like, I should have never been on this job.
Speaker ANo, no, no, don't curse.
Speaker AWhat was the right thing for the last season?
Speaker AOh, I should have never moved to this place.
Speaker ANo, no, by the way, and I don't have time to do this, but you do know that God led the children of Israel out of Egypt into the wilderness.
Speaker ASo there are times where God will lead you into a wilderness and a wilderness is his will.
Speaker AAnd so, you know, bad theology is like, everything's gonna get better.
Speaker ANo, no, everything's going to get better at one particular point.
Speaker ABut we're on a journey through the wilderness together to get to the promised land.
Speaker ASo don't curse.
Speaker AOh, I should have never went to that church.
Speaker ANo, no, that church was the right church for that season and the season changed.
Speaker AAnd matter of fact, there's a wisdom in discerning all that.
Speaker AAnd matter of fact, if you'll stop being so bitter, you might realize all the lessons God taught you even under that pastor.
Speaker AYou can't stand just letting that simmer because we curse seasons when it was the right thing in that season.
Speaker AIt's just the wisdom of knowing what that season changed.
Speaker AYou know, as we get ready to close, because I'm done, by the way, just bring me a keys player because we're keep this simple.
Speaker ABut when, you know, when we.
Speaker AI feel the anointing on this.
Speaker ASome of you are so frustrated because you're trying to harvest in a planting season.
Speaker AYou're trying to harvest in a planting season.
Speaker AYou're like, lord, why haven't you given me a raise?
Speaker AAnd he's like, because you didn't give me seed.
Speaker AGod, why haven't you given me a mate?
Speaker ABecause you didn't give me discipline.
Speaker AGod, why didn't.
Speaker AOh, come on, somebody.
Speaker ASome of you are trying to harvest in a planting season.
Speaker AYou better go back and put seed in that soil.
Speaker AYou better play the game the way that the game was written instead of trying to bend the rules for yourself.
Speaker AThere it is.
Speaker AThis is going to help you and your mama.
Speaker ABut you feel what I'm trying to help you with.
Speaker ALike, I went back and I looked at my Instagram for years and years and I went back to 2011.
Speaker ANext month we're gonna have Rick Renner with us in person and it's gonna be an incredible time.
Speaker AThe seven Hatches sermon I preached last week was me extending off of the prophetic word he gave to the body of Christ.
Speaker ALet me just say this.
Speaker AI went back in my Instagram and I was sending pictures to Evan.
Speaker ABecause 10 years ago, around this time, think about 10 years ago, I'm sitting not in front of a six location national church with global online.
Speaker AI'm sitting in front of about seven interns and I was teaching them Rick Renner's book, Sparkling gems.
Speaker AAnd every day I came in and I taught those interns Rick Renner's book.
Speaker AI didn't know Rick Renner.
Speaker ARick Renner didn't know me.
Speaker AI didn't have any social media presence.
Speaker AI had nothing.
Speaker ABut the thing was, I was sowing seeds.
Speaker AI was sowing seeds.
Speaker AAnd I went back and I saw that picture of me and I said, you know, Lord, it's about seasons.
Speaker ABecause I remember loving those meetings I had with the interns and that time.
Speaker AAnd it was just like preaching in front of you right now.
Speaker AAnd it's never been the size of the audience.
Speaker AIt's been the time of the season.
Speaker ADid you hear what I just said?
Speaker AIt's not about the size of your audience.
Speaker AIt's about the season you're in and what's right for that.
Speaker AAnd I, I thought to myself, I, if I wish I could walk into that office space and I could say, hey, Mike, there's going to come a day where Rick Renner is coming to your church to preach.
Speaker AOh, and by the way, and it's just, I don't think I could have even understood it because I wasn't doing those things to get those results.
Speaker AYou get what I'm trying to say.
Speaker AAnd there's gotta be a purity of heart.
Speaker AWe come before the Lord.
Speaker ABut I was just looking at seasons, season, seasons.
Speaker AI was going back.
Speaker AAnd when we talk about Daily Dose, and this is my lead into next week, somebody say, slow down.
Speaker ADo you remember how long kindergarten felt and how fast 12th grade felt?
Speaker ASlow down, slow down.
Speaker AThere.
Speaker AThere are no adults in the kingdom, only children.
Speaker AYou must become like a child to enter the kingdom.
Speaker ASo there's only children in the kingdom.
Speaker ASo slow down.
Speaker ARemember when you would start playing with your toys and it was fantasy land and you were gone and it was like a major motion picture happening in your soul?
Speaker ADo you remember that?
Speaker ASlow down.
Speaker ASlow down.
Speaker AIsn't it funny?
Speaker AHow you went from fantasy to anxiety, and now the only thing you can imagine is tragedy.
Speaker AWhat if the Lord wants to take back your mind this year, but you have to surrender it?
Speaker ASee, demons, we have the authority to cast out.
Speaker ABut you have to take that daily discipline of pulling down.
Speaker AIn the last season, Deliverance taught you how to cast out.
Speaker ABut.
Speaker ABut in this season, discipline is going to teach you how to pull down.
Speaker ACome on.
Speaker AIs this helping you?
Speaker AYour mind?
Speaker AWe're gonna work on your mind all year this year.
Speaker ASo here's my assignment for you for your notes.
Speaker AAnd could you all stand it?
Speaker AWell, no, no, don't stand yet.
Speaker ADon't stand yet.
Speaker ACause you gotta write this down.
Speaker AI didn't think about that.
Speaker ASo write this down.
Speaker AI want you, during your daily devotional, I want you to spend five minutes and I want you to set a timer on it so you can tell.
Speaker AAnd I'm not gonna use the name.
Speaker ACause your phones all start going crazy.
Speaker ABut hey, person, set a timer for five minutes.
Speaker AAnd I want you to sit in silence asking God, don't let me be like those that got the rebuke in the book of Luke from Jesus that couldn't discern the season, but God, I'm gonna sit here for five minutes, and I want you to do this for the the next six days.
Speaker ASo you're gonna do this Monday through Saturday, and we're gonna come back Sunday.
Speaker AAnd I want you to just sit there for five minutes.
Speaker ANow, for some of you that have been lying and saying time keeps going by so fast, you've been lying, oh, my life just keeps passing me by.
Speaker AYeah, because you've changed the way your mind works.
Speaker ASit in silence for five minutes, it's gonna feel like an hour.
Speaker AAnd while you're in that time of silence, I want you to say Jesus in the book of Luke and say this in your spirit.
Speaker AIn the book of Luke, you rebuked a group of people that knew the weather but didn't know your will.
Speaker AAnd I'm gonna sit here, speak to me to give me your will.
Speaker AAnd he is going to speak to you.
Speaker AAnd then what I want you to do is I want you to journal your answer into your daily growth journal.
Speaker AOkay, you getting this?
Speaker AThen the third thing that I want you to do is I want you to share it with a trusted friend for accountability.
Speaker AAnd I want you to share with somebody that will help you discern it.
Speaker AA trusted friend.
Speaker AHey, I believe the Lord's saying this.
Speaker AI believe the Lord's saying this.
Speaker AWhat do you Think about this.
Speaker AAnd I want you to share that, okay?
Speaker AAnd this is my.
Speaker AMy challenge.
Speaker AAnd I'm gonna read it to you.
Speaker AAnd you guys can write this verse down.
Speaker APsalm, chapter 31, verse 15.
Speaker AAnd this.
Speaker AThis could be something you can pray over yourself every single day for the next six days.
Speaker AAre y' all gonna do this daily dose with me?
Speaker ACause I'm giving you your prescription.
Speaker AYou know what I wanted to do if I had more time?
Speaker AI was gonna make a little RX slip and have this on there and send you all out.
Speaker AThen I thought I was gonna get in trouble.
Speaker ASo this is your prescription.
Speaker AIt says this.
Speaker AMy times are in your hand.
Speaker ARescue me from the hand of my enemies and from my persecutors.
Speaker AThat's the esv.
Speaker AMy times are in your hand.
Speaker AWhen you take your times and put them in your hand, it's gonna produce worry, fear, anxiety, rebellion.
Speaker AIt's gonna produce all kinds of sin.
Speaker ALike, it's take.
Speaker AMost sin is actually when you take your times and place them in your hand and take them out of his hand.
Speaker ASo when you begin to pray, God, I am going.
Speaker AI'm going to speak.
Speaker ABecause some of you are like, I don't know how to pray.
Speaker APray the word of God.
Speaker AYou'll never be wrong.
Speaker ASo, God, I'm going to.
Speaker AI'm going to do this for you.
Speaker ADo this six times this week, God, my times are in your hand.
Speaker ASo rescue me from the hand of my enemies, which, by the way, you might be the enemy that God rescues you from from.
Speaker ACome on.
Speaker AYou might be the enemy.
Speaker AWhen the Lord's like, mike, it's you.
Speaker AThen it says, rescue me from the hand of my persecutors.
Speaker APraise God.
Speaker ALife is not about doing it all.
Speaker AIt's about doing the right thing in the right time.
Speaker AAnd when you align with the rhythm of grace, the rhythm of discernment, then you'll find rest, you'll find purpose, you'll find fruitfulness.
Speaker AWould you all stand to your feet?
Speaker ACome on.
Speaker AI feel the presence of God all over this.
Speaker AHere was my prayer that you would feel the shalom, the peace that surpasses understanding.
Speaker AHow many of you feel that when permeating the atmosphere right now?
Speaker AHow many of you feel like you need to watch this on repeat, like six times?
Speaker AOkay already.
Speaker AYeah, definitely.
Speaker ASo come on, slow down.
Speaker AI want to do some ministry right now, so I want to minister to you personally right now.
Speaker ASo let that.
Speaker AI'm making a little bit of room for it.
Speaker ASo I just want to minister to you personally.
Speaker ASo let's just remove the distractions.
Speaker AYou don't have to close your eyes, but oftentimes that helps to remove distractions.
Speaker AAnd I just want to minister to you this word because this is your daily dose.
Speaker ADiscern the season you're in.
Speaker AThere's a rhythm of wisdom.
Speaker ASo let me just prophetically minister to you, because I heard the Lord saying, if I were to give it to you right now, what would it validate about you that you feel needs validating?
Speaker ALet me validate you without that thing so that you don't need that thing.
Speaker AYou need me.
Speaker AI am your validation.
Speaker AWhat are you still proving to people that you need to be free from the approval of man?
Speaker AMany of you are still bearing the weight of the burden of feeling like you have to live in a constant need of approval.
Speaker AWhat is it in you that makes you feel like you need the approval of man?
Speaker ASee, when you discern the season, when you discern the time, I believe that there's many of you, and I want to speak this prophetically, that the reason why you haven't done it, because I want to talk about delay.
Speaker AThe Lord has told you to do something, but the reason why you haven't done it is because you don't see yourself as that person yet.
Speaker ABut I hear the Lord saying, if you will step in, I will cause you to become the person.
Speaker AYes.
Speaker AYou're not that person, but I'll ask you to do it before you become it, and doing it will cause you to become it.
Speaker ASo step in.
Speaker AStep in.
Speaker AMatter of fact, I hear for some of you, I keep hearing the sound of the race starting, and there's like a false start.
Speaker AAnd I feel like there's some of you that you started something in a previous season, and it was the wrong.
Speaker AIt was like the right thing in the wrong time, and it actually failed.
Speaker AAnd I hear the Lord saying, you've been hesitant now, and.
Speaker AAnd it was like the race started, but you refused to, like, get off the line.
Speaker AI keep hearing that phrase, get off the line.
Speaker ASo I believe the Lord right now is causing many of you to actually.
Speaker ANow, go, go, go.
Speaker AStep in.
Speaker AStep in.
Speaker AAnd there's some of you that are like, well, who am I to do this?
Speaker AAnd I'm gonna be made fun of.
Speaker AThey're gonna mock me.
Speaker AThey're gonna think that I'm trying to be something.
Speaker AThere's something about this.
Speaker AI'm feeling in the spirit right now.
Speaker AI wanna speak to it.
Speaker AAnd that's why I hear the word of the Lord right Now, so strongly I hear the word of the Lord, and I want to read this to you again.
Speaker AIt says, my times are in your hand.
Speaker ARescue me from the hand of my enemies and from my persecutors.
Speaker ASo I heard the Lord say, if you don't have persecutors yet, but you are actually anticipating persecution, you step into it because it's the right time to step in, and the Lord is going to be faithful to deliver you from your persecutors.
Speaker ABut actually, the Lord says, your persecutors are going to be a sign that you have stepped into the right season.
Speaker AYour persecutors are going to be a sign that you're doing the right thing at the right time.
Speaker ASo trust in that.
Speaker AWhen the persecution happens, smile, because that becomes a verification and a validation of stepping in.
Speaker AI'm gonna say something that's gonna sound cliche, but I, the Lord, and this is not for everybody.
Speaker AI wanna be careful with the way that I word this, but I'm talking to some single people who desire to be in relationships.
Speaker AAnd I really believe that for some of you, the Lord's saying that you are ready, but they're not ready.
Speaker AAnd what you're learning, the first step of the relationship you don't even have yet is actually you giving grace for them to grow, you giving grace for them to mature.
Speaker AAnd then there's some people that it's the opposite.
Speaker AThey're ready, but you're not ready.
Speaker AAnd the Bible says, how can two walk together unless they're in agreement?
Speaker ASo there's something about this development, this thing, and when the agreement happens, wow, it could be the right person, the wrong pace.
Speaker AAnd so they're gonna pick up their pace, and that's gonna cause them to come alongside of you, or you're gonna pick up their pace.
Speaker AMatter of fact, I wanna prophesy over marriages right now.
Speaker AAnd then we're gonna pray, because there's many marriages.
Speaker AThe Lord says, you've been out of step with each other, and one is more advanced in the things of God than the other.
Speaker AOr the one thinks they're more advanced, but it doesn't align with their obedience.
Speaker AThere's something like there's been like, a misalignment.
Speaker AAnd I heard the Lord say, what I'm gonna do is cause them to be strong in one area, and you be strong in another area, and you're gonna carry each other.
Speaker AAnd.
Speaker AAnd I just see, like, a Carrying each other's burdens.
Speaker AAnd the Lord is going to say, don't be Upset with them in your marriage for not being strong where you're strong, begin to testify of the strength that they have that's different than your strength.
Speaker AAnd I see there being.
Speaker AOh, man, come on now.
Speaker AI see there being a discernment of the gifting in marriages.
Speaker AAnd the Lord says, yes, I have made your husband strong.
Speaker AIt's just you do not have a value for that kind of strength.
Speaker ABut if you will value that kind of strength, then you will honor what you value and your honor will cause unity.
Speaker ACome on.
Speaker AI'm speaking prophetically.
Speaker ACome on.
Speaker AAnd even, even the wives, you don't see the value in the strength.
Speaker AAnd I see the same thing with the husbands and the wives.
Speaker AHusbands, you don't see the value in their strength.
Speaker ABut if you see the value, you'll honor what you see value in.
Speaker AAnd the honor will create.
Speaker ACreate unity.
Speaker ABut also, can I say one more thing?
Speaker ABecause I'm just seeing this in the spirit.
Speaker AI heard the Lord say that it's a season of compromise.
Speaker AAnd you have made compromise something that feels like you can't do it.
Speaker AI'm not talking about compromising on the word of God.
Speaker AI'm not talking about compromising integrity.
Speaker AI'm talking about compromise being agreement.
Speaker AWe're gonna come together in agreement, and I wanna give you this parting wisdom.
Speaker AAnd then we're gonna pray is I heard the Lord say there's grace on crucial conversations in this season.
Speaker AAnd the Lord says, you've tried to have conversations and they failed and you're afraid to go back and try to have those conversations.
Speaker ABut I heard the Lord say, I'm gracing crucial conversations and the outcome's gonna be different.
Speaker AIf you will go in with the mindset of being able to give some things up and to come in soft, to come in humble.
Speaker ABut I feel like the Lord's saying, there's conversations with children, conversations with spouses, conversations with bosses, people in authority at work, conversations at schools.
Speaker AI just see the Lord saying, I'm gracing conversations for positioning, I'm gracing conversations for alignment.
Speaker AI'm gracing conversations for assistance assignment.
Speaker AGod is going to put a grace on conversations.
Speaker ASo I want you to schedule those conversations.
Speaker AI want you to be intentional about those conversations.
Speaker AI want you to step in, I want you to be bold, don't be fearful and say the thing that you're afraid to say.
Speaker AMake a faith based decision, not a fear based decision.
Speaker AAnd then I believe that the conversation is going to breed resolution.
Speaker AThe vision that I see in the sphere right now is like this ball of yarn in your stomach.
Speaker AAnd there's many of you who have not been sleeping at night because you feel like you have to unknot that ball of yarn.
Speaker AAnd you're like, I gotta pull that thing apart.
Speaker AAnd the Lord was showing me that if you'll give it to him, the master, he's gonna begin to unravel it.
Speaker AYou've tried thinking, but you haven't tried praying.
Speaker AYou've tried thinking, but you haven't tried praying.
Speaker AIt's going to be unraveled in prayer while you're in worship, while you're in that time.
Speaker ASet that timer this week.
Speaker ACome on.
Speaker AI gave you your prescription.
Speaker ACome on.
Speaker ASomebody say daily dose.
Speaker ACome on.
Speaker AWe're just gonna shift into the existential.
Speaker AWe're not gonna let tomorrow worry for itself.
Speaker AIt's evil.
Speaker AYesterday's in the tomb, tomorrow's in the womb.
Speaker AIt's not even born yet.
Speaker AToday is all we've got.
Speaker AThat's why it's called a present, because today is a gift today.
Speaker ASo let's pray.
Speaker AI want everybody to say that.
Speaker ACome on.
Speaker AI see a lot of tears right now.
Speaker AThe Lord's ministering to you, man.
Speaker AI feel the anointing strong.
Speaker ASay this with me.
Speaker AI'm just going to let you borrow my word.
Speaker ASay, heavenly Father, I thank you for my daily dose.
Speaker AYou are my daily bread.
Speaker AFather, I thank you for wisdom and discernment development.
Speaker AAnd I rebuke delay and I will step in.
Speaker AFather, I thank you for grace on conversations, for grace on resolution and perfect love.
Speaker ACast out all fear.
Speaker AAnd Father, I thank you for allowing me to step in to my appointed season, my appointed time, my daily dose.
Speaker AIn Jesus name.
Speaker ASomebody shout amen.
Speaker ACome on, let's just celebrate what God did.
Speaker ACome on.
Speaker AYou can do a little bit better than that.
Speaker ACome on.
Speaker AFather, you're worthy.
Speaker AWe worship you.
Speaker AWe praise you.
Speaker AWe magnify you.
Speaker AWe glorify you.
Speaker AI thank you in advance that my marriage is going to be the best marriage.
Speaker AI thank you in advance that I'm going to enter into this next time.
Speaker ACome on, this.
Speaker AYou don't need a worship song.
Speaker AYou need a worship in spirit and in truth.
Speaker AFather, I think.
Speaker ACome on, somebody dig up that well right now.
Speaker AI thank you, God, for proper alignment in this time.
Speaker AFather, I thank you in advance for what this is going to do.
Speaker ASomebody say, let it be so.
