CTN Episode 25 | Reply All (Part 2)

0:00 You pray it, and he can answer it. The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. God will put the prayer in your heart to pray so that he can answer it. It goes into the hearts of the people. It doesn't return void. It produces results. And when those two words that changed my life, when I believed, I said, Lord. I didn't say, Lord. I said, I didn't. know to save Lord. Nobody taught me anything. I said, I believe. And when I spoke that word out of my mouth, you know, the Bible says, if you confess with your mouth, the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. But it's with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. It's with the mouth. And I said, I believe. And when I believed, it was like I felt. Everyone say felt. In this regard, I felt. I felt myself. I felt the love of God, Romans 5 .5. Now I know being shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Ghost. And I felt the Lord coming into me. And I felt the darkness, the thing that had so easily beset me, lifting up off of me and leaving. I didn't know it, but I had become a new creation in Christ Jesus.

1:19 All things passed away. All things became new. I was born again because of two words that God spoke into my heart. It's the word of God and his voice that will transform your life. And then as I went on for two weeks, everyone listen now, I had a hunger. And a desire and a longing. Everybody say hunger, desire, and a longing. What was it? Something on the inside. It was the Holy Spirit rising up, stirring within me. And he was saying, he didn't say it, but the hunger and the desire and the longing, in a sense, had a voice. And this hunger and desire and longing was. going to propel me to search for more. You know, Jesus said, those that seek me, find me.

2:17 And I, something unconsciously, I unconsciously just knew. Everyone say no. Knew. I knew that there was something more. Everyone say something more. There's something more he has for you, my friends. When you hear his voice, don't harden your heart. Listen. Oh, but it's so big, Margie. Listen, my God is able to do for you exceedingly, abundantly, above all you could ask, hope, dream, or desire. You've got to reach for the stars, and don't be afraid. Take that step of faith. He will meet you there. So I just knew that there was more, something on the inside. And I went to this church, and they were all like singing in tongues, you know, just singing. We call it singing in the spirit, something that I would love to see revived back into the church. And I said to my friend who was with me, I said, I want that. And so, you know, you just know when it's the Holy Ghost. It feels right. It senses right. It's a velvety feeling. It feels soft. It feels loving. It feels peaceful. You feel joy. It feels right. Your conscience as a believer can be a good guide for you. So at the end of the service, eventually they all prayed

3:49 for us. I got in my car. I'm not going to get into the whole story. But I eventually released my prayer language, and what I realized is that the more I wanted was to be baptized in the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking with other tongues, that I was saved, but it was just a separate experience, Acts 1 -8, that would cause me and help me to live a more victorious Christian life. But that was the guidance and the leading of the Holy Spirit. Okay, so new things are allowed or set in motion when heaven speaks. I'm going to read this psalm to you. Listen to this. I found this last night. Everybody good? Psalms 32 .8. Natalie, you don't have it. Sorry. This is how it works, and she knows. I will instruct you, and I love this part, teach you in the way.

4:45 that you should go, I will counsel you with my eye upon you. And that word teach you really stuck out to me. The Holy Spirit has to teach us how to hear his voice. And it comes through experience. It comes through, in a sense, trial and error, making mistakes. Don't be afraid to make mistakes. I'll tell you, I'd rather be behind Jesus and wait on him than way ahead of him. And if you've ever made a mistake, you have to do, I think Pastor Anthony was talking about it the other service, you just may have to recalculate, but he will eventually trust him with all of your heart, lean not to your own understanding.

5:30 If you're acknowledging him in all of your ways, he will eventually get you where you need to go. He said, I will teach you, okay? Let's talk about how to tune in to heaven or how to cultivate a listening ear. Are you ready for this? This is foundational. You ready? You ready? You are a spirit. You have a soul. And you live in a body. So where do the leadings come from? In your spirit. You feel the Holy Ghost? Mm -hmm.

6:19 He that is joined to the Lord is what? One spirit with him. Where do the leadings come from? Where do they reside? In your spirit. You are a spirit. You have a soul. I think the things we deal with a lot is the soul. What's the soul? The mind, the will, the will especially, and the intellect. Which brings me to a point, your heart may say one thing, and your mind and your thoughts and your will will say another. That's why it's important, if you don't know what to do, wait. If you don't know what to do, get in the presence of God.

7:11 Go into your closet. Shut the door, Matthew 6, 6. Seek him. Pray to him. Get quiet so that your heart gains the ascendancy over your will, over your soul, and over your mind. You are a spirit. You have a soul. and you live in a body. I have proof. 1 Thessalonians 5 .23 says, Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and I pray your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless to the coming of the Lord. Now they can be divided. Hebrews 4 .12. For the word of God is living and powerful and sharper than a two -edged sword piercing to the dividing asunder of the soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and the intents of the heart. Amen. That's why it's important, listen to me, to invest your time into putting the word of God In your heart. Listen now. The scripture says he will take the things of mine and show it unto you. When you have the word of God in your heart and you need direction, what will happen is as you tune in and develop

8:43 your listening ear, he will take the word that you planted in your heart and it will come up. out of you into your mind, and that's the direction that you need. Luke 11 says, give us this day our daily bread. It's the bread. It's the direction that you need, but it comes from the Word of God. And having the Word of God in our hearts and studying to show ourselves approved unto Him and putting it in us helps us to hear from God. Why? Because he has something to work with.

9:25 There are several prayers spoken of in the word of God. The prayer of intercession is just one of those prayers spoken of in Ephesians 6 .18. And this particular book, Marked for Intercession, teaches the reader how to pray for your family, how to pray for your friends, how to stand in the gap for a nation, how to pray for leadership, and it goes on and on and on. I would encourage you to get this book and dive in deep so that you can be that man, you could be that woman that would stand in the gap and put up the hedge and be the love of God expressed in the earth. I'll tell you what I do really quick. I just listen to straight scripture, not even a teaching. We have a lot of teaching.

10:28 I'm not belittling it. We need it. But I just sometimes need a break. So I just put straight scripture on. The book of Ephesians. The book of Colossians. The words in red of Jesus. And you put that in your heart, it doesn't return void. And it's spirit to spirit. It goes into your heart like an incorruptible seed. It goes in your heart and it feeds your spirit and helps you become strong inside. This is what we do. We oftentimes feed our bodies three full meals a day. And some of us, a few more snacks on top of it. Right? We want to maintain our health.

11:16 We want to maintain our strength. We want to maintain whatever we got going on, whatever is your vision for your lifestyle. Right? But when it comes to our spirit, the real you, the Bible calls him the hidden man of the heart, we feed him one cold snack a week. And we want to be led by the spirit. Listen, you've got to put the word of God in your heart. It does not return void, but it will accomplish and produce life in your heart and direction in your life. It's going to give you everything that you need. Amen?

11:59 With my spirit, I have about 10 more minutes. I contact the spirit realm. I wish I had so much more time with you. I got to tell you straight up, I'm going to be honest. I try to live from that place. People say to me, why are you so quiet? The only time I'm not quiet is when I'm talking to you. I just preach. But I generally am a quiet person. And it's the most amazing thing if you would just be quiet. I have a friend who used to say it like this. For the love of God and everything that's holy, if you could just be quiet. We are so busy. We're always talking.

12:55 Always got something. I'm going to say this really nice. Be quiet. I can't say it from the pulpit, but shut up. See, because here's what you do. What I teach people, and this is Bible school stuff, and this is a school, but this is Bible school. I know that I am a spirit. I have a soul, and I live in a body. It's like I have eyes behind my eyes. So these eyes, instead of looking outward, I put my eyes, like I set my affections on things above. But where do the things above reside?

13:41 Out here? They reside on the inside of you. So I just look, put my eyes behind my eyes, and I look on the inside. You could develop that. You could train your human spirit to discern, to know, to hear. You can cultivate a listening ear. You are a spirit. You have a soul. You live in a body. The body's so distracted. So distracted. I counted how many hours a week I'd go to the gym. I'm like, that is ridiculous. I should be working. In a sense, I should be exercising my spiritual senses more so that I can discern both good and evil. Invest in my spirit life. Not be weird. We're not weird, are we? I have a hard time being around people like that. Everything's this, and God said that, and it's a dream, it's a vision, it's an angel. I can't live like that.

14:52 That's a lot of pressure. Why is it pressure? Because I don't think it's all from God. If you feel pressure, that's not from God. With my spirit, I contact the spirit realm. With my soul, I contact the intellectual realm. With my body, contact the physical realm. Conscience is the voice of the spirit. Reason is the voice of the soul. Feelings is the voice of the body. Primary way heaven speaks. Number one, through the word of God. He will take the things of mine and show it to you. So many times I've needed direction.

15:40 And I'll wake up in the morning and I'll have a half a scripture. How many of you have ever had that happen? If you're not looking for it, you're not going to hear it. If we wake up and we look at our phone, that's what we're looking at. It's looking unto Jesus. I'll hear a half a scripture. I'll be like. That's God speaking to me. God speaks to you more than you think. Is everybody happy? Oh, it's 1145. It's like my dog, you know, he knows when it's time to be fed. I don't know how he knows, but he starts tormenting me. Last night he put his paw on me.

16:24 I'm like, what? It's 505. Time to feed me. Well, we're Italian. It's the Italian. Right, Natalie? It's the Italian. We're all yelling in the back. We're Italian. Stay with me. Can you sit five more minutes? Yes. Forgot what I was saying. Feed your spirit. Put the word of God in your mouth. Mouth. Number two, the inward witness.

17:08 Romans 8, 14. We're almost done. For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God. Verse 16, the Spirit himself, he's not in it. He's a him. He's in you. He's leading you. He's guiding you. He's speaking to you. He wants to show you things to come. He wants to give you direction for your life. He wants to protect you from evil people. Are we listening? You don't know that you're a child of God because someone prophesied to you or you felt like you were or because you had a vision or a dream. You just know. I know that I'm saved. I know it. Well, that's the same way the inward witness works.

18:01 You just know. That you know, that you know that this is the way, walk in it. Can you imagine being a pastor of a church and being in charge of a building fund? He's got to know that he knows, that he knows, that he knows. And when you know, it doesn't mean there's not going to be like thoughts. But when you know deep down on the inside that God is leading, God is guiding, and that this is from God, you have no doubt in your heart, you just could go through any storm. Okay, what does a witness look like? A witness in your spirit says, no. There's two ways he could speak. No. How do we define a no if you're seeking direction? A check in your spirit. Everyone say check. Are you looking on the inside? Are you listening to the inside?

19:10 A check in your spirit or something on the inside. A red light. A stop signal. It's not even a voice. It's an inner intuition. No, don't do that. No, don't go there. No, I've given you a decision to make about this job or that job because you're so good at what you do. People see you're good at what you do. So you're going to have a lot of opportunities. What is the best opportunity for you? I'm hearing a scripture. I will lead you in the. Best path for your life. What is God's highest and best? If you listen to your heart, listen to the Holy Spirit, he will lead you into the best path for your life. But if you have a no or a check, well, how do you do that? You look at both options, and you look at it, and you look on the inside. You look at the other one, and you look on the inside. And then you wait. You take a step back, and then you come back to it, and you wait. And you put your hand in your hip. What's an inward witness where it's a yes? A witness in your spirit that says go or yes is defined as a feel good in your spirit. I guess it's time. I sound like Eeyore.

20:40 It's time. A feel good in your spirit. It's not a physical feeling. It just feels good. It feels right. And in the multitude of counsel, there's safety. So if a bunch of people feel good about it inside, it's the way to go. It's a green light or a go -ahead or a signal or clear all the way through, no static. Last scripture. Look at 1 Kings 19. Last way, the one we're highlighting. Well, we highlight it a lot. God instructs Elijah to stand on the mountain and wait for him. Amazing.

21:23 He was such a powerful guy, right? But he was human, just like you and me. In context, this story takes place after Elijah has experimented or experienced a major victory. He defeated the prophets of Baal. However, he's feeling discouraged and isolated, even desiring to die. It sounds familiar. God instructs Elijah to stand on the mountain and wait for him. How many of you have ever been discouraged? Right? So here's what happened. God tells him, go stand on the mountain. Some of us, for the love of God, we need to stand on the mountain because God is still God. He's not left us. He hasn't forsaken us. He understands our frame, that we are dust. We don't want to do it. We want to die. We don't want to do it.

22:17 God, what are you doing? You know, we complain. How many of you ever complain? Look at verse 11. And he said, go out and stand on the mountain before the Lord. And the Lord passed by in a great and strong wind, tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord. That's quite a scene, right? But the Lord was not in the wind. And after the wind, there was an earthquake. How many of you have ever been in an earthquake? Yeah. Yeah, we did. But there's major earthquakes. I kind of feel like this was a big one. But the Lord was not in the earthquake. The sounds and the rumbles. And after the earthquake, a fire. But the Lord was not in the fire. After that, a still, small voice. The Hebrew says a delicate whisper. Sometimes we expect God to be, and we're waiting on something that's already there on the inside of us already. You already know what to do. My sheep. I'm just sitting here.

23:47 Hear my voice. You know, when you deal with a lot of money and investments with a lot of money, decisions with a lot of money, the Holy Spirit can lead you and guide you even in that. When it comes to your children, should I put them in private school? Should I put them in secular school? What is the way that would be best for my children? Holy Spirit knows. Trust him with all of your heart. Let's stand. Lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him. He will direct your path. Thank you, Lord.

24:30 Thank you, Lord. You guys good? Thank you, Lord. Let's just lift our hands and thank him. We worship you, Jesus. Lord, our labors are not in vain. Lord, these are your precious people. They are your sheep and the sheep of your pasture. There it is. I want you to receive what the Spirit is. He's pouring something out on you right now. Oh, I pray that the Spirit of wisdom and revelation.

25:11 in the knowledge specifically of hearing your voice, would be granted unto them. Okay, here's the prayer. This is something I actually pray. This is a good one. Father, I pray for my friends. I pray that you would give them the wisdom to discern what is in their own heart and mind. and what is in your heart and mind. So, Lord, we've asked, and we thank you for the wisdom, the guidance, and the discernment. Thank you, Jesus. Let's just wait for just a minute. Thank you, Lord. you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Jesus. Praise your holy name. Praise your holy name. Father, I pray that you would anoint my friends with fresh oil. So

26:43 many are entering into a new season in their life. And I thank you for the fresh oil and the fresh awakening that's coming into their lives. Thank you for doing a new thing. Many of them are perceiving it. Many have resisted, but Lord, take them in, take them up, take them higher. We give you all the praise. Holy honor. And all the glory. Thank you, Lord. Amen.
