00 You pray it and he can answer it. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. God will put the prayer in your heart to pray so that he can answer it. It goes into the hearts of the people, doesn't return void, it produces results. Welcome to our broadcast, Prayer and Purpose, and I'm your host, Margie Florent. We're going to go ahead and begin this episode, and we're going to talk about how prayer makes you strong. Isaiah 40, 28 -31 says, He increases strength. Even the youth shall faint and be weary and the young men shall utterly fall. But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength.

07 They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run and not grow weary. They shall walk and not faint. So the scripture says those that wait. Upon the Lord oftentimes we think of weight. I'm waiting in the presence of God and that's good We need to wait on the Lord. We need to soak in his presence. We need to spend time with him We need to look at him, but I'm gonna break down that Hebrew word wait Those that wait upon the Lord the Hebrew word actually turns the light on In this passage it says they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. That word wait is the transliteration from the Hebrew word, I can't pronounce it, H -W semicolon Q, but it means to twist or to bind whence a rope. This verse reveals the active nature of intertwining one's life with the life of God. When intertwining is being done, hence a rope, that person is made strong. So those who wait, twist his life with God upon the Lord is made strong. Now I have a little visual here for you. Here's a rope.

40 This is you when you spend time in the presence of God, when you wait upon him. When you twist your life with him, you are made strong. And let me tell you, nothing can break this rope. Isn't that right? But I also want to show you what the rope looks like when it's not intertwined. When the rope is not intertwined with God, it's just fragmented. It's weak. A scissor could cut through this quite easily. Well, that's what happens when we don't wait on the Lord, when we don't intertwine our lives with God, when we don't spend time with Him and put Him first place in our lives. That's what happens when we don't love Him with all of our heart and all of our soul and all of our mind and all of our strength. Our lives are not what they should be. We are not as strong as we could be. But when we wait on the Lord, the Bible says He renews our strength. We intertwine our life with him and we are made strong. What are you saying, Margie? What I'm saying is, my friends, each and every one of us have to know God for ourselves.

56 We can't wait on somebody else to show us the way and to pray for us and be the one to do all the teaching and all the instruction in the word of God. It's time for us as believers to rise up and take responsibility for our Christian walk. It's time for us to intertwine our lives with God and get to know Him for ourselves. Like we said in one of the previous episodes, it's having a devotional time with Him in the Word. But it's also having an intimate, active prayer life with Him. Okay? So those that wait upon the Lord, We are made strong. And notice this scripture says, you will mount up with wings like an eagle. Now, let's talk about eagles for a second. Now, 32 times eagles are referred to as an example of the Christian life. That's because eagles are unusual birds that are born to soar higher and faster than any bird. They are especially able to soar above clouds. and storms now remember we said that eagles in the word of god is referred to as an example of the christian life it's not god's will that you beat beat up it's not god's will that you're down it's not god's will that you're depressed but we are going to find out that as we wait upon him he will renew our strength

28 and where there was once frailty and and weakness we can change We can change into the same image from glory to glory. We can be made strong. The life of God can manifest through us. You are not stuck, my friends. Okay? So with the eagles, when it rains, most birds, they head for shelter. The eagle, which is you, say, I'm an eagle. I'm an eagle. I don't feel like an eagle. Well, you're an eagle. Are you one with Christ? Are you joined to him? Is he your Lord and Savior? You are an eagle. Say, I'm an eagle. I'm an eagle. By faith, you're an eagle. That's your true identity. Your true identity is you are in Christ. And the scripture even goes on to say, I can do all things through Christ who what? Strengthens me. But again, it's intertwining your life with God. So when it rains, most birds head for the shelter. The eagle is the only bird that, in order to avoid the rain, soars high above the rain clouds. In other words, they're not afraid of the storm. They're not afraid of the rain clouds. That means that an eagle flying at an altitude of 1 ,000 feet over open country can spot prey over an area of almost three square miles from a fixed position. Eagles

58 love the storm. When the clouds gather, the eagles actually get excited. The eagles use the storm's winds to lift it higher. Once it finds the wind of the storm, the eagle blocks his wings and uses the fierce raging storm to lift him above the clouds. This gives the eagle an opportunity to glide. its wings in the meantime all the other birds which you're not all the other birds they hide in the leaves and branches of the trees so again when we intertwine our life with God with a vibrant active prayer life we can use the raging storms of life to raise or rise us up to greater heights then we will run and not grow weary then Then we will walk and not faint.

00 Strength and endurance will be given to us for everyday living. Okay, we're going to go ahead and take a break here and we'll see you in a few. Early in 2025, I had a dream that I'd like to share with you. I dreamed I was a guest speaker in a church. During the preaching, I had a vision of a great ship. I saw the ship going straight and it was moving fast and furious ahead on the water. Then I saw the ship suddenly turning to the right. I said to the people, the ship is turning, but we must continue to pray into it. It's not in time to stop praying. I could see that the ship was turning and the church was at the helm of the ship, causing the ship to turn. Upon awakening, God gave me an assignment, and the assignment was, and still is, to mobilize prayer. We are praying together on our KIU prayer conference call. I would love it if you could join us. If you'd like more information, go to my website at martyferrant .org, or the number is on the screen. I look forward to praying with you. Now let's go back to the broadcast. So let's continue our teaching. We were talking about the eagles and how they love a storm. So we found out that when we encounter these storms, that

34 because our lives are intertwined with God, we will run and not grow weary. We will be able to walk and not faint. Our strength and endurance will be given to us for everyday living. Why? What does that happen? What does that translate to? For me, and I'm sure for you as well, it's confidence because you know he's with you. That's why the scripture says I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. When you know that God is with you, you have confidence. I'm going to give you an example from my own personal life. I, a few years ago, went through an extremely difficult period. And I had a lot of challenges.

14 I had a lot of new things I was facing on every single level, spiritually, emotionally. financially, you know, in every way. It was a whole new learning curve for me. And I sometimes, I don't know if you've ever done this, I sometimes just, I mean, this is unbelief, so I'm just going to be honest. Sometimes I'm like, Lord, are you there? You know, are you here? I know your word says you hear me when I pray. I know that you said in your word, you never leave me nor forsake me. But sometimes, you know, it's just be nice to have like a little encouragement or a little sign in the natural. Right. And so I just kind of was moping around and I woke up one morning and I was going to take my dog out. You know how dogs are. They have a habit. They go where they want to go and they usually go in the same exact spot. So I opened up the door. He went out. I followed him because he's a little dog and I don't just let my dog out without being right next to him because of his size. And I walked out and. when I got to the pool deck, it was so interesting. I looked down. I'm getting chills right now. I looked down and there was a stick and another stick and it was in the perfect shape of a cross on my pool deck. Now I looked at that and I went, hmm, that's interesting.

40 Lord, you are with me. You know, the Bible says he is with me. My rod and my staff. It comforts me. Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil. You are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. And it was just a sign to me that God was with me. Now it gets better. Because when Milo walked to the very back of my property, he went in the spot that he always goes. It's by the tree and by this fence. And I walked up behind him. to that spot where he always goes there up on the gate on the fence was another stick standing up against the gate and another stick like this and it was in the perfect shape of a cross I don't know about you but that really made me excited and I just feel like God will give us these signs God will give us these wonders God will give us little things just to show us that he is with us he said in his word i will never leave you i will never forsake you i am a father to the fatherless i am a husband to the wife who's divorced i am with you always but this comes through developing intimacy with him in the secret place getting to know him in the word and getting to know him in the secret place of prayer my friends he is a personal god And that's

14 when the Christian walk gets really, really fun. Okay? What else about prayer? Keeping us strong. One week without prayer makes one week. Don't you love that? One week without prayer makes one week. You can tell when you've neglected your prayer life, you just don't have that vibe. You just don't have that confidence. You just don't have that... secret thing with the lord that you're used to having or you may not have that burning on the inside one week without prayer makes one week well how can we be made strong wait on the lord intertwine our lives with him yes but also first corinthians 14 4 says he who speaks in a tongue edifies himself we have multiple teachings on the subject of tongues and what it will produce and But we're not going to overly emphasize that today. I'm going to emphasize one part. When you pray in tongues or pray in the spirit, you edify yourself. That word edify in the Greek means to charge yourself up like a battery. For example, like my phone, right?

36 You all have phones. We're addicted to them if we're not careful. So there's times my phone gets down to... Right now it's at 91, and then it'll get down to 86, and then 70, then 50. And then if I use it enough, and I expend the energy enough, and if I text enough, eventually it'll get down to 15%, 10%. So what do I do? What do you do? You take out your plug, and you plug this phone into the cord, and you plug it into the power source. And what happens? The battery is charged up, and it goes right back up to 100 % if you wait long enough. Well, when you pray in tongues, praying in the Spirit, praying in the Holy Ghost, which is a separate experience from the new birth, when you pray in tongues, the Bible says you are edifying yourself, building yourself up, edifying yourself. You are becoming strong. Now, the beauty of praying in tongues is you can pray in tongues any place, any time, under your breath. The only time I've ever prayed in tongues out loud on the streets is in the streets of New York City. Because, first of all, there's a lot of people. Secondly, everybody will just think I'm from a foreign country. Or thirdly, they'll just think I'm crazy. So I've had times when I would visit New York City and I'd walk down the streets and I'd just pray in tongues. Just everybody. edifying myself. And

09 I can guarantee you in New York City, nobody's looking at you because they just think you're from another country or you're crazy. So when you pray in tongues, you're edifying yourself. You're making yourself strong. So if you ever find yourself like weak spiritually or discouraged or you just can't exactly find your center, you lack focus in the things of God, just up the gift of God that's in you. Stir up your prayer language. If you have to, stand up. Walk the floors. Pray in tongues. And after about 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes, you'll get into a rhythm and into a flow and you will literally notice that that which is on the inside is stronger and bigger and rises up and you have more of a sense of the presence of God. Okay, so I just want to encourage you today to wait on the Lord and to pray more in the Holy Ghost. Now, after this short break, we will continue our teaching.

14 The Lord spoke to me one day. He said, Margie, many of my people desire to be intimate with me. They desire to spend time with me. They desire to have a vibrant prayer life, but they just don't know where to begin. They just don't know how to start. So I wrote this book with that in mind. Encountering God through prayer. Simple strategies to develop a powerful prayer life. I take the reader from the very basics. Begin where you are. Begin with 15 minutes. Find a quiet place in your house. Go into a closet if you have to. Shut the door. Just begin where you are. are. And I teach the reader about the heart of the father, because if you don't know who God is, you're not going to understand his character and his nature, and you'll be afraid of him. So I go into the heart of the father.

16 Who is the father? What's his character? What's his nature? And then I take the reader all the way up into what I call contemplative So if you would like a wonderful resource on how to begin your prayer life, I encourage you to get this book, Encountering God Through Prayer. Go to my website at margieflaurent .org. Let's continue our teaching. This is where the prophetic kicks in. As I said to you in another episode that there's times I'm a major teacher. And then there's times I'm prophetic. And then sometimes there's a mix. You just have to listen for it. But here we're going to get into more of the prophetic and what God is saying to the church today. Why is prayer necessary in this season of church history? Because, my friends, we have stepped into another major move of God. And I'm going to share a dream that I have. that I had recently, actually two weeks ago, that speaks of this.

30 Isaiah 60, verse 1 says, Arise, shine, your light has come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For darkness, the darkness will cover the earth, and deep darkness the people. So that's the day and the hour that we live in today. Darkness, gross darkness is covering the earth. Perilous times are here. We're seeing things. that if my parents knew were going on in the earth, they would literally be rolling over in their graves, so to speak, where things have really gotten bad. Things have really gotten worse. But the beauty of that is where sin abounds, grace does so much more abound. And we have stepped into a greater measure of grace in the day and in the hour that we live in today. The Bible says in the book of Acts that when the move of God was taking place, In the book of Acts, great grace was upon them all. And what I see in my spirit is great grace is rising in the church in the middle of this darkness. He said, but the Lord will arise over you and his glory will be seen upon you. Okay? So the glory of God is rising within the church. At the same time, the darkness is covering the earth. So prayer is a part of what God is doing. Just like in the book of Acts, the early church was birthed in prayer, but it was also sustained in prayer.

00 You see, prayer opens up the door for God to work. You're going to hear me say that hundreds of times. James 4 .2 says, you have not because you ask not. Okay, so the Lord also gave me a dream a little over six months ago about the ship turning and that we... are seeing a turn in what's taking place in the world today and in the earth today. He said the ship is turning and things are changing. He said, but the church is at the helm of the ship. And it's very important that they don't stop praying, that they keep praying, they keep interceding, because there's yet more that I want to do. And I'm hearing scripture in my spirit. Remember not the former things, neither consider the things of old. For behold, I am doing a new thing. And God desires to work a work in our days that if it were told us, it would seem like a dream. So just because we see some shifts and some changes, some positive changes taking place in the earth today does not mean that we should stop praying. It's a time for us to rise up and stand and pray. Now I'm going to share a prophetic dream I had for you and for me on Saturday, this past Saturday, at 5 .30 in the morning. And this is what happened.

20 I had the dream, and then I had a prophetic word. So the dream intertwines itself in the prophetic word. First I had the dream, and then upon awakening, this is what the Holy Spirit said. He said, new realms of glory, new realms of manifestation. New realms of operating in the spirit. Didn't God say, I will pour water on those that are thirsty and floods upon the dry ground? Didn't David say, oh Lord, you are my Lord. Early will I seek you. My flesh longs for you in a dry and thirsty land where what? Where no water is. He wanted to see God's power and God's glory. So this dryness is going to be watered by the power and the presence of the Holy Spirit and the glory of God. So the Spirit said, new realms of operating in the Spirit. He said, this is the day of my visitation. This is that which you have prayed for. Now many of us who are mothers and fathers in the faith know what I'm talking about. We've been standing and we've been praying and we've been believing, many of us, for ten years. 20 years, 30 years. Those of you that are mothers and fathers in the faith, remember the 80s? We had a move of God. We didn't even know what we had. We had manifestations, visitations. People's

51 teeth were getting filled with gold fillings. I used to lay hands on children. Children would fall under the power of God and have visions of Jesus. and revelations from God. We saw miracles, signs, and wonders. I used to get up and speak and teach and preach. I would have three scriptures on a little piece of paper. The power and the anointing of God was so strong. That was in the 80s. And so we seemed to have lost some of that. But I love the Lord said, I'm going to restore everything. That the locust and the canker worm has eaten. So the Spirit said, so we kept praying. And we've been interceding and we've been praying for this. So he said here, this is that which you have prayed for. This is that which has been spoken by the prophet Joel. That I am, that I am, that I am answering your prayers. And I am pouring out of my Spirit. And you're going to move in power and demonstration of my Spirit.

54 never before and the services will go longer and longer and longer hello seeker friendly churches get ready because the Holy Ghost wants to move and you may want to take your watch off and put it away because when the Holy Ghost begins to move it's not going to be boring it's going to be full of life and joy and peace in the Holy Ghost So he said here, the services will grow longer and longer and longer. And those who don't want to receive and hear and see that which I desire to do in this day and in this hour will leave my presence and will go back to the toys of the senses and the things of life that distract them. But know this, my people, that I am in the process of stirring up a great tornado wind.

47 my glory and my spirit and many of you many of you yes you are going to be caught in the eye of this holy spirit storm and you're going to move in dimensions that you have desired to move into many of you have been faithful and you have been discerning the times and seasons that are upon the church and because you have labored fervently in prayer and labored in obedience, many of you have stayed in radical obedience unto me, you will see the demonstration of my spirit that you have already seen on the inside of you. That which is within you is going to be seen. That which you have seen on the inside of you is going to be manifested. In other words, that's the vision. And the Bible says, well, the vision, Terry, wait for it because it will speak. Well, my friends, it's beginning to speak.

43 And many will yield to my presence and fall under the presence of my spirit. So know this, says the Lord, that which you have labored for, that which you have believed for, you will see manifested in this day and in this hour. For this is the day of my glory and this is the day of my power. And many of you are going to continue to have visitations and dreams in the night. implement that which I show you know this my people the best is yet to come and it's going to be so much fun and at the end of my dream I sang a song of celebration and the Lord said this is a song of celebration when I turned the captivity of my people they were like them that dreamed and their mouth was filled with laughter and the Lord said this is the time of celebration the time of celebration is at hand and lastly in the dream People were getting distracted. And I asked them to once again stay with me. And I asked someone, what time is it? And she said, it's 1115. I then apologized for the time. And I said to the people, I apologize for the time.

56 It's so late. But we have some people here in the back that have not been prayed for. And a man came up to me and said, the woman lied to you. It's not 1115. It is 959. And then I woke up. And I heard that song. It's a time of celebration. It's a time of celebration. Praise God. I'm excited about what God is doing. Aren't you? Okay. So I just want to thank you for joining our broadcast. And I look forward to seeing you the next time. Thank you so much for tuning in to today's podcast.
