Prophetically Praying Parents - Session 2 Part 2

0:00 You pray it and he can answer it. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. God will put the prayer in your heart to pray so that he can answer it. Goes into the hearts of the people, doesn't return void, it produces results. Zachariah 12, 10, you have the spirit of prayer already on the inside of you. Amen. Amen. And he longs to make an expression through you. He longs to make intercession through you. The scripture says there's a spirit of praise and supplication on the inside of us. And so many of us are just pushing it down.

0:42 He wants to arise. See, we said it earlier, we are the house of prayer. So when we release that spirit of prayer, we're releasing Jesus in the earth. Amen. But we have to stir it up. Isaiah 64, seven, there's none that calls upon my name and lays hold of him. When what we have to do is we have to stir up that spirit of prayer. Let's face it, how many of you feel like praying? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. No matter what, we are disciplined. That's right. See, prayer goes from sacrifice to joy.

1:23 First it's a sacrifice, then it's like joy. From a desire to a discipline, and then it becomes a delight. It's just like working out in the gym. Who feels like going to the gym? Especially on January 2nd. Do you know how many gym memberships are written up the day after New Year's Eve? I see it every time. We kind of laugh, those of us that are gym rats, do I have any gym rats in here? Yes. You know what I mean? Yeah. I'm a home gym. How many of you know what I mean? We kind of stand there, we kind of make fun of the newbies, and we're the gym rats. And they come in and the gym is packed, and we're annoyed because they're using our equipment.

2:09 You can't get your workout in. It's ridiculous, because they're there, they're slow, they're out of shape. Ha ha ha! You get your reps in and move on. Ha ha ha! I'm a muscle guy, I've worked in gym. They have a desire to work out, then they need the discipline, and then after a while it becomes a delight. We see every time, like if you're at the gym, I always say to a trainer, I'm not the best one, trainer, say give them three months, three months, they're supposed to be empty. And they'll have to pay for the rest of the year for their gym notes. Right. Yeah. But you see, it's the same way, you know, with prayer and developing and strengthening your prayer muscles.

2:55 Right. You know, the more you do it, the more you like it, and then after a while you crave it when you don't do it. Right. Do you guys know what I'm talking about? Yes. Because the presence of God is very, you just, you can crave His presence. Oh, absolutely. And if you don't have it for a while, you're like, Angie says, you're knocking, seeking, is that how you do it? Yes, seeking and knocking. Asking, seeking and knocking. You just, you keep going before Him going, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello. I'm here. Hello. Hello. Hello. Okay. But you have to stir it up, okay? Acts 1a, listen, you are empowered to pray by the Holy Spirit.

3:38 Yes. Acts 1a, you shall receive power when the Holy Ghost has come upon you. You have power to pray. But it's important that we begin at home. Yes. Yes. Absolutely. Jesus said in that scripture, He said, begin at Jerusalem, He said, begin at Jerusalem, then Samaria and Judea, or maybe I'll mix them up, and then I want you to go to the other most parts of the world. Right. Our Jerusalem is our own homes. Right. Amen. And remember that there's no time or distance in the Spirit. That's right. When you pray. Right.

4:19 Though we're absent in the flesh, we're present in the Spirit. That's right. There's no time, no distance. Eternity is in your heart, your prayers are eternal, and long after you've left this earth, your prayers will continue to be answered. Yes. Glory to God. That's right. Say it. Are you kidding me? Not kidding. I'm kidding. Screw you, Dele. Well, that settles that. That's all we're doing. I'm on a roll today. Yes, you are. You're crazy. You're on fire. You're so quiet all the time. You're so quiet. Really? No. This brings to my remembrance my dedication.

5:00 This book is dedicated to you, the intercessor, who will lay up treasure in heaven, and lives not for this world. I don't know if that's proper grammar. This is my first book. But for eternity, this book is also dedicated to my Lord Jesus Christ. If it weren't for you, I couldn't be who I am today, or what I will be in the future. That's actually not the dedication I wanted to read. But what I did want to read. Maybe you're supposed to. That's what we got for free. What I did want to read, I guess it's a different book, was I dedicated one of my books on prayer to my small, to my children. Men to them. But I said, listen, and this is mama talking.

5:42 That's right. It's like a devil. Mom, after I've left this earth, my prayers on your behalf will continue to avail to us. Amen. So mama's gonna have an influence even when I'm in heaven and I'm not on the earth. That's right. That's right. That's how powerful your prayers are. You think about the prayers of Jesus, those prayers have not been answered. That's right. They're still yet coming to pass. Yes. That's why we can't grow weary in well-doing. Yes. We will reap a harvest of blessings if we don't faint, if we don't move on. That's right. Okay? I got it. What's that? Just water. It's all good. You're good.

6:22 I got it. Okay, I want to go into Luke 11 and then we're gonna close. Can I have like 15 more minutes? You can have all this in one. Yeah, we're good. Yeah, I guess. Please. People. Yes. Yes. Bye guys. Let me, we'll talk about this. You know, back in the day, I'm talking, back in the day, you know, when I was first starting ministry and I would have three scriptures on the pulpit and it was just like, I preached, you know, you know how we did, preached with three scriptures, no outlines, now I have 10 pages. Everything's highlighted. But I remember going to these churches and we would have revival and moves of God and I just would be preaching and carrying on until 11 o'clock at night.

7:06 Amen. I was single back then. I never had kids, even though I'm single now, but I didn't know back then that people had lives. Right. Right. Right. Right. They didn't pick their kids up, get them ready for school. Wesley doesn't. So people had lives. Right. Right. Right. Right. Give me 15 more minutes. Yeah, please. Okay, look here at Luke chapter 11. Verse one. No, he's okay. Verse one. Verse one. You there? Yes. Ready. Almost. Now it came to pass as he, speaking of Jesus, was praying in a certain place when he sees that one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.

7:58 I want you to notice they didn't say, Lord, teach us to preach. Yeah. Teach us how to operate in the prophetic. Right. Teach us how to flow in the gifts. Teach us how to raise the dead. They noticed that Jesus had an element about him that made him different. Yeah. And they noticed that he had the power and the presence of God always with him ready to heal the sick and cast out devils. Right. They noticed that there were times when the more famous he became, the more he would withdraw and pray. Yeah.

8:38 They noticed that after healing the man with the withered hand, the religious, or the people in that day were really mad about it, but instead of Jesus retaliating in the flesh, what did he do? He went up to a mountain to pray and literally spent the whole night in prayer unto God. And when he came out of that place to pray, that's when he made decisions. He chose his disciples. Yeah. They noticed he was a man of prayer. That's why they didn't say anything other than, teach us to pray. We wanna be like you. Yeah. Amen. The Bible says that he would go and the disciples watched him. They said he would go sometimes early in the morning. He would go out and he would depart in a solitary place to be alone.

9:22 They watched him. Where's Jesus? When he's up in the mountain again, what's he doing? He's praying to his father who sees in secret. He's praying to his father. He's developing intimacy with his father. He's building himself up. He's getting the mind of Christ. He's getting the wisdom of God. He's hearing by revelation. And then he would operate. They noticed that about him. Yeah. What about when John the Baptist passed away? Was beheaded, actually. He just went up into the mountain and he prayed. So here we have the disciples. They said, Lord teach us to pray. Now, let's see what he says. Are you there? We're there. Verse two. It says here, and when you pray, I love this, say, our father.

10:06 This is a whole nother message, but I just want to highlight it here. The very first thing he taught them to do when it came to prayer was, you're not gonna pray to Jehovah Jireh. Right. You're not gonna pray to Jehovah Nisi. You're not gonna pray to Jehovah Sidkenu. But you're not gonna pray to a God or Rapha. You're gonna pray to your father. Yeah, amen. He introduced them to the heart of the father. Right. Yes. When you pray, you say, our father. And then he goes on, in heaven, Hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, as in heaven, earth as it is in heaven.

10:51 Now look at this, verse three. Give us, day by day, our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. So he's teaching them to pray, and he's saying when you pray, if you need bread, you go to your father. You need daily bread, you go to your father. And you ask him for your bread. You know what this reminds me of? Reminds me a lot of the prayer of faith.

11:34 Yeah. Right. You need bread, you go to your father, who will richly supply all your needs according to his riches and glory by Christ Jesus. When you're in trouble, you go to your father. When you need anything, you go to your father. It's the prayer of faith. You see that? Yes. But Jesus didn't stop right there. He went right into the prayer, I'm gonna show you this, of intercession. Amen. So he's teaching them how to get their own needs met, but he flips a switch, and now he's teaching them about the prayer of intercession. And he's given us keys and strategies as to how we can pray to meet another person's need.

12:19 Yes. Not our own needs. Are you there? That's good. Do you know that Brother Hagen said many times, he says, if we're not careful and we don't teach it, the art of intercession is gonna be lost. Right. Yep. That's why I'm glad I'm alive. Amen. And I'm glad you're alive. And other prayer leaders are alive. That have laid down the mantle of teaching the people how to pray. Amen. So needed. So here we go. And he said to them, which of you, now you are the intercessor, keep that in mind, which of you shall have a friend? Now that friend is God our Father, El Shaddai, if I can call him that, the God who's more than enough.

13:06 Yes. How many of you have a friend like that? Yeah. So which of you have a friend and you the intercessor, you go to him at midnight and you say to him, friend, lend me three loaves. He was very specific in what he wanted from his capital F, friend. He says, I'm coming to you and I need three loaves from you. Now I want you to notice it said midnight. To me, it kind of speaks volumes in that it was a very inconvenient hour of the day. Right, yeah. It was pretty impossible. Who's gonna get up at midnight?

13:47 Right. But this intercessor, if you're staying with me in this teaching, he's going to him and he's saying, I need three loaves, it's midnight, I'm coming to you. And he goes, I need three loaves for what? Verse six, for a friend of mine or a child of mine or a grandchild of mine or a niece of mine or a godchild of mine. Amen. For a friend of mine has come to me and I know who I am in Christ Jesus. I know all the scriptures. I could quote it. I'm the head, not the tail. I'm incomplete. I'm coming to you for a friend of mine who's come to me in his journey and I have nothing to set before him.

14:32 I like to put it like this. A friend of mine has come to me in his journey in life. Yes. And in my self, I have nothing to give him. Yeah. That's why I'm coming to you. That's right. You own a cattle and a thousand else. You're our shadow. You're the god that's born in us. You're the Lord, our healer. You are everything. Yeah. I'm not coming here for my own needs. All my needs are met. Yeah. And verse seven, he from within will answer and say, don't trouble me. The door's now shut. My children are with me in bed. I cannot rise and give you. Wow, that sounds pretty discouraging. Yeah. Right?

15:12 Right. But that's why the prayer of intercession is so powerful because you're gonna expect resistance when you start going to God on the behalf of whoever it is you're praying for. That's right. It may look impossible. You may sense that resistance. You may even hear, prayer's not working. Your prayers aren't working. And he goes, I cannot, but you know, this guy was not moved. Amen. I love it. Luke 18.1 says, men ought to always pray and not faint. That's right. Don't faint, don't quit, don't give up. We said it yesterday or last week, you know, sometimes things get worse before it gets better.

15:54 Right. Because you're pressing in and you're moving into the enemy's territory and the enemy's been there a long time. That's right. You're knocking at the door on the behalf of your child and that enemy does not wanna give up. I just heard in my spirit, resistance. There's been so much resistance. It's just like a woman when she gives birth to a baby. Right. You know, what happens? You know, she has contractions and contractions and then she reaches that point, you know, where she's just gotta push and give birth to that baby. But just because we have the contractions doesn't mean that baby is not gonna be born. Right. Right. He goes, let's see what happens next. Verse eight, I say to you, remember Jesus is teaching them how to pray.

16:37 I say to you, though he will not rise and give him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence, Hallelujah. he will rise and give him as many as he needs. That word persistence, there's another word that is also used in the translation, because of his importunity. Yep. Now this is intercession now, you understand? This was only in this particular prayer. Right. He says, it's because of his importunity. He didn't quit, he didn't give up. He kept knocking at the door. He kept going to the throne of grace. He was persistent. Yeah.

17:18 That word importunity means the state or quality of being in importunate, persistent in solicitation. Solicitation as in treaty urging or a petition or request, persistent in asking or demanding. I want to clarify something here. We're not demanding of God on the behalf of another person. He would let all men be saved and come to the knowledge. We told you, no we didn't get there, but we will next week. Salvation is for all your children. All your children will be taught the Lord. Grace will be the peace of your children. So we're not demanding God to save our children.

18:00 He said, I would that they be saved. We're demanding of the devil. Get your hands off of my child. That's right. You cannot have my child. Amen. That's exactly right. You're demanding of him. Yes. And I'm trying to close, but it's like Romans 15 one and Galatians six two. When you start to demand of the devil and pray the prayer of intercession on the behalf of your family, your child, whatever, there's a lifting up with the idea of completely removing that scribble of conscience so that band that's around their head and whom Satan, the God of this world has blinded their minds. Yes.

18:41 You're going in and the devil's blinded their minds. There's something wrong in their belief and in their mind. That's right. They have a scribble of conscience. So you're going in, you're demanding the devil unlock that thing and you're heading resistance. Yeah. That's why you have to pray with importunity. Yeah. And all you're asking of God, ask for the heathen. They're your inheritance. Ask and I'll give it to you. You see the difference here? I used to call it the positive side of intercession and the negative side of intercession. I got that from Bobbie Jean Murr. That's good. Is she still around? I think so. Yep. I love her. The positive side is where you go to God and the negative side is where you're contending with the adversary.

19:21 All right, two more scriptures and we're gonna close. Job 932. E.M. Bounds taught that perseverance is the essential element of prayer. Yes. Job 932 says, for he is not a man, as I am, that I should answer him. And that we should go to court together. For he speaking of God is not a man as I am, that I should answer him, and that we should go to court together. Neither is there any mediator between us that might lay his hand upon us both.

20:03 An intercessor is a mediator. And here's a visualization. You lay one hand on God and one hand on your child or that person or that thing or whatever your target of prayer is. And it's good to have prayer targets. Yes. Yeah, agreed. So it's laying one hand on God, you're the mediator. You're laying one hand on God, one hand on that person and don't let go. Job 2236. Then you will have your delight in the Almighty and you will lift your face to God. You will pray to him and he will hear you. You will also pay your vows.

20:43 You will decide and you create a thing and it will be established for you. And the light of God's favor will shine upon your ways. Now visualize this. You're laying one hand on that child, one hand on God. He will even the rescue or delivers another translation. The one for whom you intercede who is not innocent. Now they're in the bars, they're doing drugs, they're in rehab, they're doing this, they're sleeping, oh my God, they're doing all this stuff. He will even deliver the one for whom you intercede who is not innocent. That's right. And he will be rescued through the cleanest of your hands. Thank you, God. Amen. You're the churches of God, in Christ Jesus and that's why the Holy Spirit emphasized that.

21:28 Your hands are clean. Amen. You've got this. We can rescue God. You're rescuers. That's right. That's good. Jude 1.22 says, and have mercy on some who are doubting. Save others, snatching them out of the fire. You're pulling them out of the fire. And the scriptures is hating even the garments spotted by the flesh. I remember one time, and we're gonna close right here and then we'll get into next week where we begin. I remember one time we were doing, you know, we had so much fun. I've been doing this for 42 years. We've had a lot of fun, seen a lot of things. Me and my prayer team one time, we were getting ready to do a meeting in one of the churches, I don't know which one.

22:14 But I remember we were interceding, we were praying in the Holy Ghost. There was such an anointing on us to pray. You know, you could be more or less anointed to preach. Just, and you know, and either way it's gonna work. And you could be more or less anointed to pray. Yes. You could be anointed to pray. Remember that KIU event we did? One to two weeks before we knew that we were getting shut down because of COVID. And we were all sitting around, it was Corp of United Prayer going, what are we praying about? We didn't even know, we were so burdened. But we didn't know, Michael, he's groaning in the spirit. We couldn't release that.

22:55 That was one of those videos. Yeah. We're fully raised. We're not editing it, you can't possibly edit that whole entire prayer meeting. Yeah. We're not releasing that to the public. Right. You know, we were so anointed to pray. And we just took turns. Yeah. It was amazing. But I remember this meeting, you know, we were so anointed, there was an anointing that came on us in the room to pray. And I started to have, I didn't know what it was about. Then I was seeing, it was a seer anointing. And I just started seeing people as we were praying, going into the pit, into hell. And I saw as we were praying, some of the descent into hell was slowed down and others were completely lifted up out of the fire.

23:43 God, that's awesome. Wow. And that was the power of the prayer of intercession. Brother Hagen once said, or not once, because I've listened to him so much, he was casting the devil out of somebody. And the devils were screaming. And at one point, the demons started screaming, I hate intercessors, I hate intercessors, I hate intercessors. And Brother Hagen goes, of course. They're the ones. Right. Yeah, they're a huge problem. And the demons revealed their strategy, you know?

24:26 Yeah. God's strategy. Yes. Because there's some people never be saved, never be delivered unless somebody prays for them. That's right. That's how I got saved. I believe somebody who was praying for that person was getting delivered from the devil. Amen. So lift up the idea of completely removing that strip of conscience off of them so that some other labor could come in and finish the work. Yes. Some plant, some water, God gives you. That's right. That's why I have an even team ministry. That's right. Yes. I don't want to do it all by myself. Exactly. That's my job. Thank you. I have a measure of anointing that I carry in a certain area, and I'm just gonna do my job. Amen. Okay, in conclusion, I want to read this to you. And I know many of you have heard me read this before, but bears repetition.

25:06 That's right. I'm gonna say it anyway. How many of you know John Ramirez? Yes. Yep. Have you ever watched his videos? Yes. Okay, I'll tell you why I watched him, because his calling was, there's a scripture that says, rather don't partake with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. So John Ramirez, he was a high level ranking warlock. Like people, for real. Yeah, trained by the superiors. Get your head out of the sand, for real. There's devil worshipers in the earth today that are trying to destroy your family. Yes. That's right.

25:48 Why do you think the divorce rate is so high? The devil's trying to destroy the family, the children. Yeah. So he was a high ranking demon. So his, not demon, he was a high ranking warlock. So his calling was, at this point, was exposed to the works of the devil. Now what I like about John Ramirez, and if this wasn't true, I wouldn't listen to him, to be honest. He was discipled under David Wilkerson. See, he was discipled. Hello? Yes. Okay. And David Wilkerson, you can't get any more solid than him, right? That's right. Exactly. We men all agree on everything, but so what? At least he was a good, strong, solid man, who discipled his people.

26:29 That's right. And so he gets saved, and this is what he said when he was exposing the works of darkness. His actually, his father was actually the devil, John said. He would come in and sit with him and talk to him. Yep. And he would speak in demonic tongues. We can't get the church to pray 15 minutes in Holy Ghost tongues. That's right. We've had witches come in and pray in tongues. Oh yeah. We've had it. Oh I know. I know. Most worried. I know. I know. I know. I know. He said he'd pray all night and into the morning. If you're hungry enough for God, you'll spend time with him. This guy was hungry to be promoted in the demonic realm.

27:09 Right. Okay, he said he would leave his body and put curses over cities, regions, states, and countries. He what? Yep. Even after people spoke to him. Oh my God. In tongues of interpretation, what is that? I'm scared of all the prophetic, the scene? Oh, what is that? Let's shut him down. Let's not let the prophet speak. No, no, no, no. This guy from the demonic realm left his body. Right. Right? To everything that's in the kingdom, there's a counterfeit. That's right. Didn't they transport somebody in the book of Acts? They went from one place to another? Yeah. Philip. Philip, but he took his body with him. Oh, he took his body with him.

27:49 God took his body with him. That translated spirit, soul, and body to another place. He didn't get it. It was an out of body experience like Satan does with people. It's an out of body experience. It's totally different. That's demonic. Yeah, that's astral projection. That's astral projection. So he'd leave his body. He'd put curses. He'd go, now here, now we're gonna close. He would go into neighborhoods in the spiritual realm in order to weaken it in the natural realm. Yeah. Yeah. Ooh. That's real. He'd speak curses. That's why life and death, those are the power. That's right. Yeah. That's why we gotta watch what we say about our kids. That's right. That's right.

28:30 We gotta watch what we speak over our families. Yes. Because the demonic people, they understand words. That's why we pray the word of God over our families. Right. Then he said, if he would see people praying, he said, this is how he talked. He's one of those New Yorkers. And then right there, he went, oh my God. And now they know, like, that's what they're doing. And now they know. That is it. Is it true? Is it true? He said, if he would see people praying, he said, this is how he worded it. There was no accomplishment in that neighborhood. Huh.

29:10 There it is. Is what? He said, if he would see people praying, there was no accomplishment in that neighborhood. Yeah. He stopped them. Yeah. Yeah. This is why I wanted to read and listen to him because I'm teaching on prayer, and it's almost like, Lord, show us more about the spirit. Right. Yeah. Absolutely. He said that neighborhood was blessed. He said, sanctified through prayer, and you couldn't touch it. He said, other neighborhoods, it was party time. Mm-mm. Mm-mm. Lord, teach us to pray.
