3:45 Good evening and welcome to Touch by Prayer. I am so, I am so excited. Do you know why? Because I have known my guest, my goodness gracious, I think since 2012, and I'm just going to tell you something, sometimes you do kind of have to track somebody down in order to get them into your life.

She's introduced me. She introduced me to Carrie Fishman. We have such a history. I'm super excited to have her back because she has mandate to teach people how to pray. And she is back. And she is back with a vengeance because she is going to take the heavens by storm. So without further ado, please welcome to the show Margie Forant. Hi. Hi, Lisa. How are you? I have my hat on again. Oh, no, I love your hat.

5:09 Thanks for praying. It's time to pray. It is time to pray. And that's what you're all about. The first time that I met you, you said, I want to teach the world how to pray. That was the thing that you said. I said, OK. And that's exactly what you've done. You've definitely taught me how to pray. You've taught me the importance of praying in the spirit. You've taught me the importance of being an intercessor. I didn't even understand what an intercessor was like to pray in the spirit, but I'm going to do it with you and you. I'm going to read your book and and until I've I set it underneath your teaching. So thank you so much for all you've poured into me.

5:49 I really appreciate it. I love you. I'm proud of you. Go and keep obeying God. That's what I'm trying to do. I'll tell you, it's so it's really interesting because I think I remember telling you when I was going to start this, I think I told you when I was going to start this broadcast and you're like, it. So a lot of people are popping on to say hello. So good evening. Travis. Travis is back. Yay. Travis. Travis has a story but this is the first time that he's back. So it's nice to see his face. So okay, so let's, let's talk a little bit about the importance of prayer because one of the things that you have taught me is that our prayers available much. So sometimes when we are, when we're praying and we are contending, we can't stop. We just have to keep pushing.

6:43 Right. Well, James 516 is a classic scripture on the power of our prayers. It says the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. A lot of times what I've seen in being just being in ministry for 44 years is that people get tired. They grow weary. They lose hope. They don't stay in faith because it's just prayer. It's faith and prayer. And people give up, they quit, they stop because they think that God hasn't answered their prayer or he's not listening. And there is nothing further from the truth. God hears us when we pray. The Bible says my eyes will be open and my ears attentive onto the prayers that are made in this place. So God hears us. We know he hears us. The Bible says we know that we have the petitions that we desire of him. Sometimes we just need to understand or we need to teach as leaders that there's a time when a person prays and then there's a time when the manifestation comes. It's just what do we do in between? Right.

7:55 That's why Jesus said in Luke 18 one, he said men are to always pray and not faint. Don't faint. Don't give up. Like Kenneth E. Hagan used to teach us in Bible school, you know, after you've prayed, you know, it's like walking into a room that's dark. You get that room to light up, you turn that switch on and the light, you know, illuminates and you can see. Well, it's the same thing. I like this analogy about keeping the switch of faith. Yes. We're done. Did you turn off your light a little bit? Did I? Yeah. I'm still here. No, no, no, no. You're good. But when you said that, when you said that you're you actually got dim in your in your house and then it turned out am I the only one who saw that? I think I'm like, did this turn on? Because I know where your switches are. They're far. I'm like, unless there's somebody there who decided to do that for a job. There is somebody here.

9:02 I am telling you. It did it got dim and then all of it came back on. I was like, Okay, well, there you go. I really felt like what you said it's so important. Because especially the past four years it if people are still standing it's because they were praying. Yeah, yes, you have to keep the switch of faith turned on. And no matter what you see, no matter what you feel, no matter what the circumstances look like, you've got to stand and the Bible says having done all to stand, stand therefore with the full armor of God. You know, we're ladies, we I can put it like this stick those heels in the ground and don't move. Don't faint. Don't quit. Don't stress. God has everything under control as you turn it over to Him in the place of prayer, because prayer opens up the door for God to work. So when we pray, yes, I know, the Spirit just said to me, we have not, we asked not right. So when we pray, it opens up the door for God to work. And he begins to work. And it's our faith that mobilizes us, it's our faith that steadies us. And that's why it's very important to keep that switch of faith turned on.

10:28 Because me as humans are the God's avenue into the earth. And when we pray, it activates God's will in the earth. And I think that just recently you are you started to do used to do phone calls all the time. And you've come back to doing phone calls, which you're going to be doing every Thursday, nine o'clock, their intercessory phone calls. So basically, you give people that what the Lord is telling you, and then everybody starts to pray. And a lot of people are praying in the spirit. Could you could you just kind of share with people? Because I think that you're teaching about praying in the spirit is what has impacted me the most.

11:09 Well, our Thursday, we're calling it the KU prayer conference calls. And I used to do them years ago. It's not video, it's not Facebook Live, right? It's a prayer conference call. So people can have their earbuds in their headphones on they can be in the car, they could be anywhere and be joining in posture doesn't have to be on your knees in a closet, it can be right where you are in the grocery store, and you can join in and enter because, you know, God hears us no matter what posture, and he's activated no matter what posture we are in. So I felt led to to reboot the prayer conference calls. And it's a stream out of our KU Kingdom Intercessors United. And yes, we're having them at 9am, every Thursday, Eastern Standard Time. And we launched our first one last week, and the Lord told me to share a dream that I had, which we'll probably get into while we're on today. And just encourage people that yes, we've prayed, and we've stood in the gap for years. And we're beginning to see the ship turning, we're beginning to see the answers to our prayers. But it's not a time for us to draw back, it's not a time to relax. It's it we've got to keep on on praying because the devil neither slumbers or sleeps on devil's always active. It's not a time for us to go, Oh, we've seen some fruit of our prayers. People are talking about God

12:40 again. People are like saying Jesus again on TV. God bless you and Merry Christmas again on TV. And no matter where we are, and people aren't ashamed of the gospel. We have a leader in power that is encouraging us to be who we are in our authentic Christianity. Right? Oh, I felt like the Lord wanted me to kick off the Thursday morning 9am prayer calls with the dream that I had. But with respect to praying in the spirit, what's interesting about the prayer calls, and I think I said it in the in the, in the time that we have, and you can actually hear it on the replay, those of you that have heard it, is I never get to really, I do teach basics, right? And I have taught basics, I will continue to teach basics. But some of my media work is just God just says to me, you just go right in and you keep giving me the word. It's bold praying. Come on, prayers.

13:46 Come on, praying in tongues and praying in the spirit. Because when you pray in the Holy Ghost, you're praying the mind, the will and the purpose of God, you're not praying out of your head, you're praying in the spirit according to Romans eight 26 through 28. So in our Thursday morning, 9am prayer, KU you prayer conference call, you know, I just told them we're going to go ahead and after I do teaching, we're just going to go ahead and just go ahead and jump in and just start if you pray in the Holy Ghost, right, right in the Holy Ghost, come on. And so I went ahead and muted everybody because if you've got if you've got, you know, 120 people praying in the chaotic, right, new people, I pray, people follow down the things that God's the season that I'm in right now is, and have been for about three years, but full blown. I'm in it is he wants me to mentor people in prayer, not just teaching, example. So I start out, this is for the Thursday meetings, I start out and I'm praying in the spirit. And then what happens, Lisa, I start to interpret my tongue, right. And then we had a lot of praying in English, a lot of heartfelt praying. And it was so interesting how the Holy Spirit just took us and that web that ebb and flow of, of the mind and will and of God was manifested through that conference prayer call. So yes, praying in the spirit, you know, if you ask anything according to his will,

15:18 that's right. Here's us. Here's us. We know we have the petition. Well, the Bible says when we pray in tongues, or praying the spirit, we're praying according to the will of God, we just don't understand what we're saying. That's right. interpretation. But Corinthians says God understands you, you're speaking mysteries to, to, to you and your mind and even to one another. But it's not a mystery to God. Now, you're speaking in a language that God understands that it supersedes English, it supersedes Portuguese, it supersedes Spanish, it supersedes French, Italian, whatever language that you speak, it supersedes all of it, right. And you're entering into the realm of the spirit, you're praying according to the mind of God. And what I've seen in our in our meetings is that people have neglected praying in tongues. It's interesting that you bring this up. People are neglecting praying in the Holy Ghost, because they don't understand what they're saying.

16:19 And I tell people, you don't understand what you're saying. But God understands you. Yeah. And when you're praying in tongues, you're praying according to his will puts the prayer in our heart. And those of us that when we yield to him, we are the house of prayer, he puts the prayer in our heart, we pray it out, and it opens up the door for God to move God to manifest God to influence our children if they're going the wrong way, God to heal our land, God to do whatever he desires to do. So yes, praying in the Holy Spirit is a very powerful prayer. The Apostle Paul said, I think by God, I speak in tongues more than you all. That's right.

17:04 The Apostle operated in wisdom, revelation, knowledge, you know, he just was a man of prayer. And I just, my I would say a lot of my prayer is praying in tongues. I'll just be honest. And this morning, I got up, and I've set myself to seek the Lord, just like God is calling many of you who are listening. He's, he's calling you to set yourself to seek him whether you feel anything or not. So this morning, I got up and I just prayed in tongues for over an hour. I had music on but I just said, rabah, sheketeh, elam. I just was praying in the Holy Ghost, praying and all that. Because what did you pray out? I actually don't know. What I do know is when you pray in tongues, you're praying the will of God, things come into alignment. He causes your thoughts to be agreeable with his thoughts, then your plan succeed. There's a lot of things that take place in the spirit that we don't know that we don't understand. But God's the originator of tongues.

18:03 Come on. So special to God, that Jesus spoke of the Holy Spirit. I forget how many times it's I don't have my notes with me. Right. 200 and something times. He talked about the Holy Spirit, or it's in the New Testament 260 times, I think. And what was the very first manifestation that we had when the Holy Spirit was poured out? Was speaking in tongues. Yeah, Acts two, one through four, they all beat the Holy Spirit came out manifested. And the very first thing that happened was, and they all began to speak with other tongues of spirit gave them much. So I just want to encourage those of you that are listening stir up the gift of God within you. You may not understand what you're praying, but pray it out, pray the will of God out. You don't know how to pray for your lost son or daughter or backslidden friend or husband, wife, whatever the case, maybe just lift their name up.

18:55 Speak the word of God over them and then pray in the Holy Ghost and God will move. Absolutely. The thing that the Lord kind of talked to me about, like, because I was like, why don't people want to pray in tongues? He says, because they can't control it. They can't control it. Good point. He's that's what he said. He says they don't trust me. So they won't pray it because they don't know what they're praying and they can't control what they pray. I said, Yeah, well, that's the thing. But if you know, he's a good father, if you know, he's a good pop. Then we have to trust them. It's like it's like when we go to a friend and we say, Hey, would you pray for me? And the person prays, we can't control what they're going to say. We can't control how they're going to say it. We say, pray for me.

19:37 And then all of a sudden, we have to trust and believe that they have our best intentions in their heart. And if they don't, we need to go find a new friend. But but when we're praying in the Holy Ghost, what we're doing is we're saying Holy Spirit, pray for me, because I don't know what to pray. And so we're trusting him to give us the right utterance so that our prayers get heard. Yeah, we have the right utterance. I really like that. Personally, I'm happy I'm not in control. Yeah, who wants that? Right? Well, that's what you that's what you kind of taught me is you said that it's the perfect prayer. You said that when you pray in tongues, it's the perfect prayer, because you're you're praying according to what God is saying and his heart and the desire for the for whatever the circumstances are.

20:24 So why do you why even get involved? It's like, Oh, I'll be shock about being the entire night because I don't know what to pray for. Right? Because I mess it up all the time. Right? Right. I just was gonna tell you this before we came on. Remember the necessary truths that Rob helped me to create and you were there for the production. The one video that has the most views is the necessity of speaking in tongues. It's my favorite. Yeah, I've taught so many teachings. I've had so many teachings on that subject because God keeps showing me more and more and more. And weirdly, I not weirdly, but I may have a sign assignment to write another book on that subject. I know there's other folks out there on the subject, but we all have our spirit of influence.

21:11 Oh, yeah. You know, and you just have to stay in your lane. So if God's is giving me an assignment to write another book, and I think that I would take on that assignment, maybe not now, but in the future, the necessity of praying in tongues, I just got the title. Well, and the thing about it is that if you are an intercessor, if you are called to be an intercessor, and that's the other thing I want you to kind of talk about because one of the things that you do is intercessory prayer. A lot of people don't know what an intercessor is because I didn't know. I didn't know I was an intercessor until somebody told me, oh, you're an intercessor. I had no idea. But the key to being a good intercessor is by praying in the spirit because you can let God work through you.

21:55 And you can speak out the plans and the purposes through that intercessory prayer and when it lifts, you can feel it physically lifting off of you. You know your assignment is over instead of sitting there making a checklist. It's so much more efficient. Right. Right. Well, the actually all of us are called to be an intercessor just that we've been born again. We're all called to be like Jesus and Jesus ever lives to make intercession. As he is, so are we in this world. So the intercessors on the inside of every single believer, some people just choose like yourself and myself and others that I surround myself with and that like the kind of ministry we have, you know, they just choose to, I like to say it like this sounds super Christian ease, but they choose to pick up the mantle of the power of intercession, the power of prayer.

22:54 And they choose to say, I'm not going to just pray for myself or pray for my own needs. I'm going to, I choose to pray for my city, for my school system for the children that are in the school system, I choose to pray for the nation. I choose it's actually command to pray for those that are in authority Timothy says, so it's a choice of saying, you know what, I choose to pray for other things, things other than for myself. Right. And you know the beauty of praying the prayer of intercession which is one of the prayers spoken of in the Word of God.

23:35 The beauty of that is when Joe prayed for his friends. Yes, God gave Joe twice as much as before. So there, there's a law that set in motion. When a person says, I'm going to go to that intercessory prayer meeting on Wednesday night at my church. I'm going to attend the prayer meeting at 9am before the 10am service. There's a blessing that comes with that. That's right. You're laying down your life. And you're saying, Lord, I'm just going to be a house of prayer flow through me I want to yield myself to you as an intercessor. There's a blessing to that. That's the blessing is that when you pray, you're activating the highest law of love that there is the love of God.

24:22 He said, he said, greater love is no man than this, that a man would lay down his life for his friends. Jesus came to the earth as an intercessor. He bridged the gap between God and sinful man. Right. He became sin. When we pray the prayer of intercession, we are activating the law of love. And if you go into Deuteronomy 28, we see in Deuteronomy 28 that when you operate in the law in the in the in the how does it go, if you will diligently harken or obey all my laws which I command you this day then all these blessings.

25:07 So when you operate in the law of love, it's activating the blessings of Deuteronomy 28. So there's a blessing. When you're an intercessor, there's a blessing. I've noticed like since I've been leading a lot of corporate United Prayer, I've been doing a lot of it. I have a couple of churches that I'm doing with and I'm doing it with love and unity. I'm doing it now in the Thursday prayer conference calls, I'm noticing like this is incredible. My life is just so blessed. I just things are just happening. I believe I'm standing with God but there's a there's a there's something about an intercessor something about a person that chooses to lay down their life.

25:53 Yes, obey God to the call of intercession. Yes, there's the scripture right there. I had to quote it so I could get it right. This is the amplify classic. Yeah, if you will diligently, if you will listen diligently to the voice of the Lord your God being watchful to do all his commandments which I command you this day, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth and then the scripture goes on to say if it may be verse two and all these blessings will come upon you. You know, we're taking right under the New Testament. What's what we're not under the law wonder grace. What's the what are we under, you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart all your soul all your mind and then what's the second commandment.

26:34 Love your neighbor as yourself. That's right, because that's the most important thing which is love. So many people think that, um, that it is actually the most important thing is the power and most people think that it's the authority but I truly believe that if you if you operate in love. That's what God really that's what he's drawn to because you have a book called the love like that, which is a beautiful. It's a beautiful book about love and it's a beautiful book about the Father's love and how we can be how we can be transformed by that kind of love. Right. Right. We can be transformed and understanding the love of God for us. But it's interesting. There was a time in a season last summer that I was listening to a lot of near death experiences.

27:25 Oh yeah, yeah, I've had Randy Kay who does a lot of you. I've had Randy Kay on. Yeah, yeah. Interesting. Yeah, without going into detail how that was triggered. What and listening to the Christian ones the ones that are God, and sure, got a watch. There's a lot of things out there. There was a thread through the near death experiences. Number one was how in heaven, the presence that the whole present the presence of heaven. The whole vibration or the atmosphere of heaven is love.

28:07 And the question that Jesus or God asked to multiple people before they came back to the earth was did you learn to love Bob Jones, the prophet Bob Jones and others it wasn't just him. Really.
