Touched By Prayer – Part 2

0:00 You pray it and he can answer it. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. God will put the prayer in your heart to pray so that he can answer it. Goes into the hearts of the people, doesn't return void, it produces results. Mm-hmm, that's it, that's it. So good, so good. And you know, the interesting thing is that for the first time when people actually get to heaven and they have that encounter and they feel love, some people for the first time feel what real love looks like. Because we have been fooled, we have been completely bamboozled about what love looks like.

0:43 Love does not look like a Hallmark movie. I hate to break it to you. Love is so much different. Sometimes, sometimes love is hard. Sometimes, sometimes love really hurts. Love hurts because it says that we're supposed to endure all things. Love endures all things. And I actually went to Moravian Falls and I went and I saw Bob Jones. I saw his grave site and what was really cool about it, I did not like on top of it nor did I try to necromancy. I'm just telling you. I'm just, let me just say that really quickly because I know that people are like, oh, you went to this grave, that's so creepy.

1:24 And I'm like, no, I wasn't doing that. But what I did do is I did say a prayer for him and I thanked God for him. And I thank God for the message that he brought because it doesn't matter about his prophecies. The most important message that he brought into my life was did you learn how to love? Because that's been my mandate ever since I heard that story. Yeah. I actually, the Lord, I did a teaching to a group of leaders last year and the spirit of God said to me, said, I want you to title your message to me, did you learn to love? And it was talking about we can have prophecy, we can have tongues, we can have all these things.

2:06 But did we as leaders learn to love? You know, there's a higher standard for leaders. We'll be judged in a greater, there'd be a greater condemnation. So it's really about love. Well, and that's the other thing is that the Lord, the Lord spoke to me and he said, Lisa, you can't pray for what you don't love. Yeah. That's when my prayer started to change because I realized that if I didn't have a true heart, a true love for an individual, and so if I don't know them, how could I love them? I don't know them. But what the Father said, he's like, you don't need your love, you need mine.

2:47 Yeah. And so just by pulling, just saying, okay, Lord, fill me with the love that you have for this individual so that when I minister to them, when I pray for them, that they don't see me, but they feel you. Yeah. That's right. Well, you know, I like Leonard Ravenhill's son, I forget his name, the son's name, but he spoke a tremendous teaching and it was just about hiding behind the cross. Yeah. That's why leaders go through so much because I think the trials, the tribulations, the sufferings of this present world, I think a lot of it is because God just, he's not the cause of it, but it's the world, you'll have tribulation.

3:32 Yeah. It brings us to a place of surrender and just saying, you know what, it's not me. That's it. Him. Well, if you're a true leader, you don't have a reputation, you represent Jesus. Yeah. Jesus is gonna defend himself. He doesn't need us to defend him. We just have to keep doing what we're doing. It doesn't really matter. And the cool part is because you're called to this place, you get to see people encounter God. Yeah, it's fun. You get to see somebody for the first time in their life, realize through a prophetic word or through a healing or through deliverance, you get to see that, right?

4:12 It's fun. Let me just tell you what happened in Fort Myers. Sure. So because people have neglected tongues, the Lord said to me, I want you to teach on what I seek. So my title was, What Does God Seek? Without preaching the whole thing, God seeks worshipers. Yes. Two things, God seeks worshipers and he seeks intercessors. Those are the things that attract his attention. So in the worshipers, as he seeks worshipers, the spirit said, it wants you to talk to them about singing in tongues, singing and making melody in their heart to me, singing in tongues corporately and in their own private prayer time.

4:54 So at the very end of the service, we all went into singing in tongues. And I don't know how many of you that are on this broadcast or who are listening to the replay, how old you are, how long you've been in the things of God, but back in the day, I call it, we used to sing in tongues for 10 minutes, 15 minutes. And as we would sing in tongues, you could feel the presence of Jesus and angels. And sometimes you could even hear the angels singing with us. And so we've neglected that and we've gotten away from that. But most of our worship has been songs, English, you know, just songs that are in our language.

5:40 And so the Lord wanted me to stir up the singing in tongues in this particular church who was already pretty powerful and moving in the spirit, but he just wanted to take them to another level. And so we all began to sing and worship in tongues, no English, sometimes we say, we love you, Father, we glorify your holy name. I would call out since I was the leader, I'd call out the names of God. And then the inside of me, I said to the Lord, cause you know how you can be singing in tongues and talking in tongues, you can still think and talking to God at the same time, right? So I said to God, while I was leading them, I said, what about the people here that are not filled with the Holy Spirit? And the Spirit of God said to me, I'm gonna reach them in their seats.

6:26 So we just kept singing in the Spirit, singing in the Spirit and then we went ahead and we prayed the prayer of intercession because it was the day before the election results were to come out. And so at the very end of the service, I turned it over to the pastor, he got up and he said, how many of you never spoken tongues before today was the first time? We had like, oh, we had 10 people raise their hands. Come on. They, that while we were all singing in the Spirit, singing in tongues, which is the same thing, they were filled with the Holy Spirit right in their seat. So yes, it's fun to see manifestations, it's fun to see God work, it's fun to just step back and just let the Holy Ghost do what the Holy Ghost wants to do.

7:10 And I believe that's what the Holy Ghost wants to do. The Bible says in Acts 10, 44, while Peter yet spake the word, the Holy Ghost fell on all of them that believe. And I think what the Lord is, I think we're right at the edge of being ready for the Holy Spirit to be poured out, but he's waiting on us. Yeah. That's right. We're right at the edge. And if we, as we continue to create an atmosphere for God to work, I believe we're gonna see the manifestations that we desire to see. And the thing I'm believing God for is for the manifestation of the power gifts, like in the days of Catherine Coleman. Yeah. Gifts of healing, gifts of faith, where nobody's faith is involved, where it's just the Holy Spirit falls and he begins to heal people, not by anybody laying hands up, not by might, not by just by the Spirit.

8:05 So I think we're right at the edge. Come on. Let's let that happen, because that's one of my things is like, Lord, I wanna be like Peter. I just wanna walk by somebody. Like then you don't have to worry, like no pressure, no nothing. It's just like, wouldn't that be so cool? People would just walk by people and they would just radically get healed just because somebody was obedient to walk by. That's my heart. That's like, that's what we need because then it's just Jesus. It's just Jesus because you're not on a platform. You're just doing your, and you won't even know. That's even the best. Like you don't even have to know.

8:46 Just walking by people and just people are, you know, all of a sudden getting healed left and right. Then come on, that's exactly, that's what I, but also Catherine Coleman, to your point, she also, she was so in love with Holy Spirit. She carried that love thing. She was like Bob Jones in some ways because she was all about the love. She was all about the love of God and the love of people. And, but mostly about the love of Holy Spirit. And I think that's the other thing that people, people want to know what's the secret. You gotta fall in love. You have to fall in love. You have to fall in love with Jesus. You have to fall in love.

9:27 You have to be so, such a, I'll coin the phrase, a smitten kitten. Yeah, I think for sure. And Catherine Coleman, she knew how to create an atmosphere that opened up the door for God to work. When everyone's attention was on him and him alone, that's when the Holy Spirit responded. And I heard that sometimes it would take hours for the gifts to begin to operate. So I think people are impatient today. That triggered that thought. People are just impatient. They want one hour services. They want this, everything really quick. And you know what? The Holy Spirit love is what? Patient.

10:08 And so I think as we wait on the Lord and create an atmosphere for him to work, that's when he's gonna respond. He seeks to, he seeks those that'll worship him and that's when he's gonna respond. When all our attention is on him. So I do wanna ask you a question because you were saying that God is looking for worshipers, but does that mean that everybody has to be up on the stage? Well, it's okay. And that's the thing I've been teaching, like speaking to yourself, songs and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.

10:48 So it's continual prayer. Like it's a practice. It's a practice of continual prayer. Not just when you're in church, right? Not when you're in a prayer meeting, but you can have a continual song going on and on and on in your heart. Hour after hour, after hour, after hour. And then what happens is you become a fragrance of Jesus everywhere you go. You're talking about the shadow passing for chariots. You're talking about the shadow passing for chariots of the presence of God. And as we spend time with them in the secret place of our heart where nobody knows what we're doing, because it's in our hearts, us and him, us and him, us and him.

11:31 The glory just keeps rising and rising and rising and we become carriers. And that's when our shadows can pass and people can be healed. That's it, come on. And the thing about the fragrance, people sometimes don't understand that pure worship, because you can see that it says it in Song of Songs, but it's because I had a vision with this, like this coming off as I was worshiping. And Jesus said that that was worship. Absolutely, he said that was pure worship. And sometimes we don't understand, like when we're broken, when we're hurting, it's like we don't even know what to do. Worship, that's it. If you can just go in and worship, even if it hurts to worship, worship is the breaker.

12:15 Sometimes when we don't know what else to do, we just worship. Yeah. Agreed. I was in a service one time, I was speaking in a church in Illinois, and this is coming to me as you were talking. And we were worshiping God in tongues and we were just abiding in his presence and waiting on him. And there came into the room a fragrance. And it smelled like the sweetest rose flower you could ever smell in your life. Jesus the Rose of Sharon.

12:56 Yeah, yeah. And it came into that fragrance, came into the room. He was there. We didn't see him. Yeah. We had a physical manifestation of his fragrance in our midst. Well, they say that when Catherine Coleman actually passed away that her entire hospital room started to smell like roses. I love that. Yeah. She was crushed. That anointing that she operated in, she surrendered all. She totally gave her life to him. And so when he came to get her, he left his signature fragrance.

13:41 Yeah, that's the fragrance. Good for him and good for her. So, and I think that when you said that about the roses is like we can smell things in the supernatural. Supernatural smell is available to supernatural taste, supernatural hearing, supernatural seeing, all the five senses. But how do we get there? It's gonna be through prayer. It's gonna be through intercession. It's gonna be into that intimacy because prayer and intercession creates intimacy. Yes. Right? Yes. So, okay. But one of the things that you did have is you had that dream. Didn't you have a dream about- Yeah, I had a dream.

14:23 Do you want me to share it? I do because I think it's really good. Well, this, the dream happened. I received the dream last month, about two and a half weeks ago. Really quickly, I'll just read it quickly. I dreamed I was a guest speaker in a church. I didn't need any notes for what needed to be said was already within my heart. He put his words in my mouth to speak and therefore I spoke with wisdom and revelation. Without a microphone, I preached the word of the Lord for the people from the front of the church to the back of the church. During the preaching, I had a vision of a great ship.

15:08 I saw the ship going straight and it was moving fast and furious, straight ahead on the water. Then I saw the ship suddenly turning. That was a key word, suddenly. The ship turned sharply to the right. I said to the people, the ship is turning, but we must continue to pray into it. Not a time to stop praying. See, in other words, I think, I know the Spirit of God was saying, we've been praying year after year after year after year after year and the ship is beginning to turn. Well, it's not a time for us to go, our prayers work.

15:48 That's the time to relax. No, I'm saying it's not a time to stop praying. We are not finished. The ship is turning. I could see the ship turning and the church was at the wheel of the ship. Ooh, that's huge. Causing the ship to turn. Come on. It was a sharp turn to the right. I then said, we don't know how to pray, so let's all begin to pray in the Holy Ghost. And we all began to pray in the Spirit. Pray with groanings, words not understood by the human mind. And we prayed in the Holy Ghost and we prayed in the Holy Ghost.

16:33 As I walked through the crowd, people were entering in and praying in the Holy Ghost. The people in the front kept praying and the people in the back fizzled out because they did not understand the seriousness of the prayer assignment. They did not understand that when they pray in tongues, pray in the Holy Ghost, they're praying out the mind, the will, and the purpose of God as the ship is turning. But then I wrote this down as I was waking up. There is a remnant and the remnant stayed with it and they stayed true and prayed as the Spirit gave them utterance and then I woke up.

17:19 Such a good dream. That's such a, it's such a good and powerful dream because I think it was Kathy Walters who said that she saw a ship that was heading towards America. And she said, she did, she said, I saw, I see this ship that's heading towards America and it's not good and we have to pray to turn the ship around. I'm gonna have to see if I can find that because people, yes, we got what we wanted. We finally have a president who recognizes God, who has actually created a faith office that there is actually an office in the White House for the first time of faith that people are gonna be praying, that people are gonna be welcome to come and pray.

18:06 That's huge. However, we still have to pray because it's not done yet. And we also have to pray because Lord, we wanna keep him a David. We don't want him to turn into a Saul. We wanna keep President Trump on the straight and narrow where he's seeking after the heart of the father. We wanna have people who are beside him who are speaking into his life and are speaking for the truth about what God is saying, not what man is saying. I think that that's so, so, so key. And we really, because you said that the church was at the helm, that's so powerful because we've taken our rightful place because we were never supposed to be in the back of the boat.

18:47 We were always supposed to be steering. Yes. That's so good. That's such an encouraging, that's a really encouraging dream, but it's also, it is a warning dream too. Yes. I personally, and I feel like I am a carrier. There's a part that there's a measure of what I carry. It's the gift of God. I carry a measure of the attitude of God and it's imparted wherever I go. I refuse to quit. I refuse to stop. I refuse to give up.

19:28 We are going to keep on doing what God has called us to do. I believe that the spirit of prayer is rising in the churches. We have several churches that are ready to go, ready to pray, entering in. And I'm telling you, the best is yet to come on. No, it's a Christian cliche, but Kenneth E. Hagen in one of the visions that he had of Jesus, Jesus told him there is coming another major move of God before I come and take my people. That's right. I believe that those of us who are over 50, that we are not to retire.

20:08 We are to refire. We're not gonna go out. We're not gonna stop doing what we're called to continue to mentor the next generation, continue to do the work that God has called us to do because I do believe that the best is yet to come. I do agree with that. I agree with that wholeheartedly and that's one of the things, you know, we have been contending for the best that America is gonna be great again, that our health is gonna be, our food is gonna be good. And these are the things that are going to encourage because people have had this very, how do I put it? They've had this attitude about prayer. I once said to a person, I said, yeah, no.

20:50 And this was, you know, these are Christians. Yeah, these are Christians. And I'm like, well, we can pray. And they're like, well, yeah, we can do that. I'm like, do you not understand how powerful you're, see, that's the problem. They don't, that's why we can't quit. They don't know. And I always knew, you know, I'm not gonna have a mega ministry because my voice is not going to the seeker friendly or to the masses. I have a message to the remnant. I have a message to those that have stood in the gap, put up their heads. I have a message to those who wanna learn how to pray and be men and women of prayer. It doesn't matter. You just have to obey God, fulfill what is called you to do and just do the assignment.

21:35 And we will never know the impact that we had on this earth till we stand before God and give him a call for our lives. And I don't live for this world. I don't. I live in the light of eternity. And when you see these near death experiences of these people going to heaven and coming back, I go, oh my God, that heaven is for real. Well, I live in the light of eternity. And when you stand before Jesus, I don't wanna stand before a stranger. That's it, come on. I wanna know him now. Yes. I wanna be familiar with him now. I want to understand the wonders of this person now. And on that path, it's like the light of dawn.

22:18 It's supposed to grow brighter and brighter and brighter. On that path, you're gonna have to let go of things. I don't know who I'm talking to. You're gonna have to let go of things. Your relationships are gonna drop off. Things, habits are gonna drop off. Things are just gonna, you're gonna have to do things you feel uncomfortable doing. You're just gonna have to do it. Because if you're gonna continue to follow him and his purposes, you've just got to let go of some things. And also pick up your cross. Yeah. And follow him. Yeah, that's so good. And one of the things that I really believe that people have to understand is that there is a book that's written about each and every one of us in heaven.

22:59 And we're gonna have to sit with Jesus when we go home. We're gonna sit with him at that book. And he's gonna say, okay, this is what I had planned for you, but this is what you decided to do. And this is what I had planned for you. But you decided to do this. And I'm like, I don't wanna be that person who sits with Jesus. I want him to say, and he did that, and he did that, and he did that, and he did. Like with all the things and following the plans and the purposes. So Kevin's and I who had a near death experience, he actually wakes up every day and he says, Lord, open my book, let it speak so that I can walk out the plans and purposes you have written for me. That's really good. I was in a conference this past week in Sarasota with Keith Moore, and he made a statement, which I thought was very good.

23:47 He said, greatest danger to God's plan is your plan. Boom, you're gonna get a boom for that. You're gonna get a boom for that. Where's the kaboom? There was supposed to be an earth shattering kaboom. That's good. But I mean, like that's the thing. We don't want our plans. If we knew our plans, like that, they're a randy, randy cat. In his book, he wrote a book called Heaven Stormed. If you don't have it, get it.

24:28 It's so good because he talks about what's coming in the end times. So he talks about that. And I will tell you, he said that everything that he saw and how Jesus told him that this part of your life where you thought I wasn't there, I was right there. Where you thought that this was gonna happen, I had this prepared for you. And it just was like, oh my gosh, like he has it all. It's all planned. Everything's planned. And we're actually planned to win and succeed. But the problem is we get in our own way, which is you can see throughout the Bible, people did that. So it's like, we now have Holy Spirit. So the Holy Spirit can guide us into all the places and spaces that we're supposed to occupy.

25:12 We don't have to worry about where, like one of the things I went to one of your meetings and I remember the Lord said, he said the things I've called you to do, nobody else can do. He says, they were created for you to do. And the things that I created other people to do, you can't do because I created it for them. He says, so you do what I created you to do and let them do what they're supposed to do. That was it. Yeah, that was it. And when you hear that, you're like, oh, I don't even have to worry about it. Because that's the thing is that we've been told by so many, like, if you look through social media, it's like, oh, they're gonna take this from you and they're gonna say, no, nobody can take anything from you but you can let it go and then somebody can pick it up.

25:57 But it's because you dropped it. Don't drop the ball, you have the ball, keep running. Yeah, keep running your race. Keep running your race. Okay, so let's talk about your new book. I wanna put up your new books because this book is really, it's a first of all, the cover is beautiful. Look at that. So this book is called, Contend. Contend. So what is it that you want? Because it says it's stored in the hearts and destinies of our children because you're a mama. Yeah. And your heart is to pray for your children. Yeah, and I wanna teach others how to pray for their children.

26:37 And there's a lot of stories in there, including my own story of how I had infertility issues and the fight that began in the hospital OR when Danielle was born and she wasn't crying. And that's when I learned that I was not only gonna to give birth to my children in the natural, but in the spirit as well. And that the prayer for my children would continue into adulthood. And now the twins are 30, I thought they were 32, but they're 33 and Jackie is 31. No, she's 32, sorry. But in the book, I give multiple stories of the power of intercession at what it looks like.

27:22 It's not a minute prayer. I talk about tongues, I talk about travail, I talk about tears. I give over 70 scriptures, Bible promises of praying for our children, about promises for our children that we can stand on. And the book, at the end of each chapter, there's an outline so people can use that book for Bible studies. That was all by design and intention. There's just everything, that book to me is part of a legacy that I'm leaving behind. If you don't have children, you have God children. You have children in your sphere of influence. I'll call them God children.

28:02 I have several kids that call me God mother. And I am their God mother. I have assignments for them, just like I have assignments for my own children at times. So, okay, so this book can tend, I believe, is something that I think every mom should have. And dad. And dad. Because that's one of the things that the Hebrews would do is that they would bless, they would pray for their children constantly. That's what they would do. And somehow that got lost, that got lost in the shuffle. Yeah, because people don't know how to pray. I pray for my, it's a one minute prayer.

28:44 No, it's contending for the hearts and destiny. There's war over the hearts and destinies of our children. Laying one hand on them, one hand on God, pulling them out of the darkness. Yes. Intending for them, taking authority over the enemy, speaking the word of God, releasing Psalms 91, angelic activity over them. So there's, the book really clarifies the art of intercession, but it's specifically for praying for our children, our grandchildren, our nieces, our nephews. And the children to come. The children to come. That's right, because he is after generations. He's a generational God.

29:25 Yes. Somehow, somewhere in the midst of things, a lot of generations kind of, they lost track of that. Yeah, so that's, okay, let's look up, let's just see this book again.
