What God Seeks (at The Faith Center) | Part 2

0:00 You pray it and he can answer it. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. God will put the prayer in your heart to pray so that he can answer it. Goes into the hearts of the people, doesn't return void, it produces results. You worship what you do not know. We know what we worship for salvation is of the Jews, but the hour is coming and now is when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. I don't know if you've ever seen it like this. For the Father is seeking such to worship him.

0:48 God is the Spirit and those that worship him must worship him in spirit. Listen, and in truth, worship attracts the heart of the Father to us. I don't know about you, but I want God to be attracted to me. I want to do something that attracts his attention because I want God to look at me. He said, in my eyes run to and fro the whole earth to show myself strong on the behalf of those whose hearts are perfect. If you're searching, I want you to find me in a posture of worship and adoration.

1:33 I want my heart to be true before you. I want you to seek me. Why is it I always have to seek you? I get annoyed with myself because it really works. That's why as a teacher I have to be really careful that I don't teach works. So we have to seek God. Draw nigh to God, he'll draw. That's all true, but let's keep it out of works and let's keep it in rest. So sometimes I'm like, Lord, where are you? I mean, I think I was like that the last time I was here, right? I was lamenting. So God showed me I'm attracted to worship, but he said worship in spirit and in truth. How do we do it?

2:13 Your words, adorations, and expressions of love to him. I love you, Lord. Start with a scripture. My favorite scripture is Psalm 63, my favorite, it's a life verse. Oh God, you are my God. And when you're using scripture in worship and in your prayer worship time, you know, shut off your mind. Hook yourself up to the inside and really lean into him. And if distractions come and you find yourself thinking about that text you just got, pull yourself back into the spirit. Psalm 63, oh God, you are my God, or Leo, I will seek you, my soul longs for you, my flesh longs for you in a dry and thirsty land.

3:00 What to see your power and your glory. I pray that over this whole entire region. And it's faith without works is dead. Your faith, and when you say that, it goes into the realm of the spirit and faith is the spiritual force. And when you speak that word, it goes in and it causes God's heart to respond. He said, when the poor in need, they need water. I, the Lord, will answer them. I will not forsake them. But our prayers avail much. How else do we do it? All right, you ready? You guys ready? First Corinthians 14, 14 and 15, stay with me.

3:42 For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays. I'm gonna bring correction, you guys all right with that? Can I bring a correction? Not just to you, to all the churches everywhere. We've let some things slip. And that's why we're not saying some things. But if worship attracts the heart of God, and he says I want my people to worship in spirit and truth, I wanna know what that means. A wise man searches out a matter, right? My spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful.

So those of you moms and dads in here that have been around for a long time in this environment, what happened to singing in tongues, Daniel? Right? What happened to singing in tongues in worship? We worship with words we understand. That's good. We should do that. But what happened to singing? I will sing with the spirit. I will sing with the understanding also. What happened to singing in tongues?

5:47 I remember when I was first saved, we would go to these meetings, and by the way, everybody was excited. I was like, I'm gonna sing with the spirit. By the way, everybody was excited to go to church. Why? Because worship attracts the heart of God, and it caused an atmosphere to be created that caused an atmosphere for God to work, and it created an atmosphere for miracles. What do you think the secret to Catherine Coleman's ministry was? She understood the power of worship, and the Holy Ghost did not manifest or operate until she brought, or the Holy Ghost, however you wanna say it, were co-labors, brought the people up to a place.

6:34 They tapped into the realm of the spirit through worship, and then the working of miracles began to manifest in her meetings. I know this beyond any shadow of a doubt. God, we are on the verge of the manifestation of the power gifts coming into the earth, and I've been praying about it. We've been talking about, you know, Mary Jo, we've been praying, and I think this is a key. Understand the laws of the spirit and what worship will bring, and it'll attract my attention. I'll open up the windows of heaven, and I'll begin to manifest myself with the gifts of healings, gift of faith, working of miracles, because when you worship God, there's no attention on self.

7:19 All attention is on him. All eyes are on him, who is the author and the finisher and the perfecter of our faith. We're leaning into him. There's no thought of self. We are so in love with him, and so longing for him, and so needful of him. He responds, and the greatest response, I believe, is people that are sick and in need of healing, they get healed by the power of God. And let me tell you, when you operate in this kind of worship, you really die to self, because you understand he is high and lifted up. His train fills the temple.

8:00 It's him. He alone is worthy. All of heaven says, holy, holy, holy, Lord, God Almighty. Heaven and earth are filled with your glory. It just creates an atmosphere for God to work. So I wanna encourage you, we're gonna do it at the end, I wanna encourage you to stir up the gift of God that is in you, individually and collectively as a church. I'm telling you, the Holy Ghost, singing in tongues, singing in the Spirit. When I was in this meeting with all these charismatics, we were all singing in tongues. Like, not for five minutes or a minute. I can only watch a video for a minute, and then I get bored.

8:42 It's a distraction. It's all a plan to the enemy. Let's get our focus back. We would sing in tongues 10 minutes, 12 minutes, worshiping God, and we got so caught up, because worship, he seeks worshipers, he comes down, and the more he comes down, whoa, somebody said it, the more we go up. It's like an echo. And we harmonized, how many remember those days? We harmonized, and all went together, because we're the house of prayer, right? He flows through us, right? And we all harmonized. You talk about the whole family fitly joined together, and every joint combined.

9:23 In worship, we were like that family, all worshiping God. Different tones, hymns, spiritual songs, singing, making melody in our hearts to the Lord collectively and individually. And I could remember times when we thought we literally heard angels singing with us. So my, I gotta hurry up, my Pilates guy who does Pilates with me, he's a Christian, here in Lakewood Ranch. God sent him across my path. God will put people together for a reason. He was hungry for fellowship, I was hungry for fellowship. And when I hurt my ankle, he prayed for me, or my foot.

11:32 Well the angels weren't taking any breaths because they're divine. So worship attracts the heart of God. I want to say this really quick. Whatever we teach here, take home. That's my new goal. It's not just teaching people how to pray in a corporate setting. Whatever you learn, take it home. I'm going to give you a little highlight. Ephesians 5, 19 through 21. Every single day you can have a heart of worship before the throne of grace.

12:15 Revelation 5, 8 goes up like incense. O ha se ke te yabayah, combination of the holy, asiv, reminded. Remind them to come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden. I want to give them rest. But I need them to focus their attention on me and I can move and I can give and I can bring them rest. But in your everyday walk, when you're in the grocery store, in your car, you can have a continual song of worship in your heart before the throne of God.

12:59 But you've got to develop it and practice it. It's like Brother Lawrence, he called it practicing the presence of God. I have learned, I'm still learning, to develop intimacy with the Father by having a continual song singing, making melody in my heart to the Lord day in, day out. Wake up with it, go to sleep with it. Wake up in the middle of the night, there's a song and a hymn and a spiritual song. Sometimes that song you wake up with in the morning is what you need for the day. It's your daily bread. But I want to encourage you to put scripture in your heart, put Christian songs in your heart and when you are walking around, remember you're the house of prayer, you don't have to be in church, you can sing those hymns, sing those songs, sing in the spirit, sing, sing, sing.

13:59 Where? Making melody in your heart to the Lord. Just like when I was in Ocala and I was speaking in a prison and it was for the women in that regard, I didn't know but they, I don't know if I can say it, it's in the paper, they were being sexually assaulted, they were, you could sense it, but there was so much going on and I remember telling these women in a prophetic anointing, I said nobody can tell you, you can't sing in your heart to the Lord. Nobody can stop what's going on in your inward life. Nobody can control that. But you can. I want to be one of these people that Romans 8 talks about.

14:42 All things work together for the good to them that love God. Love God. What? All things work together for the good for everybody. Everything happens for, no, that's not what the Bible says. All things work together for the good to them that love God. You can develop a greater love for God by practicing the presence of God. Okay. God is seeking intercessors. I'm not going to go too deep into this. I want to get into the part about the spirit of seeing annoying. Ezekiel 22, 30.

15:22 So I sought for a man among them who would make up a wall, stand in the gap before me on the behalf of the land I shall not destroy. A lot of bad things were happening. People were rebellious, so on and so forth. God said I am seeking not just worshippers. I'm seeking intercessors. Now I'm not going to get into the teaching of it. That's the teaching in me that I wanted to teach. No, we're not going to get into that. What is an intercessor? God said to me this morning when I was going through my notes, he said an intercessor is a prayer warrior. Period. We know that being an intercessor is not praying for ourselves. It's standing in the gap on the makkeishtaya.

16:05 On the behalf of another, the Lord just said to me he's going to begin to pour out amongst you and this region the spirit of grace and supplication in a greater measure. That's just like singing in tongues and singing in the spirit has dissipated to a degree, but he's reviving it. There's a spirit of grace and supplication where you are so engaged with the heart of God, you begin to see as he sees, love as he loves, desire what he desires. It captures your heart to such a degree you cannot contain. You can control it. Don't get me wrong.

16:46 There's something in you that groans. There's something in you that has no words. And so you have to yield over to the Holy Spirit and pray that which you have, which is a burden on the inside out. He's going to revive that kind of praying. But that's more private prayer. But if you get with a bunch of people who are mature and understand it, you could pray with them. They'll get it. Quickly, the role of a mediator or intercessor in prayer was prevalent in the Old Testament in the lives of Abraham, Moses, David, Samuel. It's just the women in the church. There's no, Moses, David, Samuel, Hezekiah, Elijah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel.

17:31 Under the Old Testament, not everyone had access to God. So God called the leaders, the priests, the prophets of Israel to intercede on the behalf of the people. In the New Covenant, however, we all have access through Jesus Christ. So he's calling, an intercessor is a prayer warrior. That's all. We're going to keep it simple. Praying with discernment, and we're going to close. Praying with discernment is the spirit of seeing and knowing in the place of prayer. Well, how do you do that? You got to look on the inside. You think about Donald Trump, and you look on the inside. Do you have a warning?

18:12 Do you have a red flag? Do you have a green light? Are you grieved? Something's going on. We had that with Ronald Reagan. And for a year, everywhere I went, I said, we need to pray for the president. I don't care if you agree with the president or not agree with the president. The Bible says pray for those in our authority. Doesn't matter. I'm not being political here. So on the inside, I just felt like a check, something's not right. Every single place we went, we prayed for him. And you know what? There was an attempted assassination on his life. And we aborted it. How? Through prayer. What was that? Spiritual discernment, the spirit of seeing and knowing something on the inside.

18:57 You capture it in the unseen realm. It's part of our spiritual weapons so that the enemy's plans can be aborted. John 10, 10. Look inward to see and know. It's a whole teaching. You guys could teach it in Holy Spirit school. Here's a scripture. First Peter 5, 8. Be sober. Be vigilant. Even with your kids. Well, mommy, everything's fine. Mommy, everything's fine. And you're like, something's not right. What is that? You're seeing and knowing. You may not be a perfect parent, but you can be a praying parent.

19:38 A praying, prophetic parent. Because your adversary, the devil, walks about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. He hates people, hates families, hates leadership, hates godly people. That word vigilant means wake, watchful, and watch. Never be off your guard. First Peter 4, 7. But the end of all things is at hand. Therefore, be serious and watchful in your prayers. Ephesians 6, 18. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit being what? Watchful to this end with all perseverance.

20:18 That word watchful means, the Greek means to be sleepless. Sleepless is not a mere wakefulness, but the watchfulness. Spirit of seeing and knowing. It's a waking. It's a watching. You're watching in the spirit. And I say, God, you want me to talk about being a watching? He said, no, you talk about watching and praying. It's looking on the inside, not only on the natural. Colossians 4, 2. Continue earnestly in prayer. Be vigilant in it with thanksgiving. That word in the Greek means to watch, of keeping awake, spiritual alertness. First Thessalonians 5, 6 through 8.

21:01 Let us therefore not sleep as others do. But let us watch. And what? Be sober. For those that sleep, sleep in the night. The church is arising. She's coming up out of her slumber. And those who get drunk are drunk at night. That word means to be sleepless, watch, means to be sleepless, keep awake, watchfulness. We're going to go back and then we're going to close. How do we get results in prayer? My guy could put that scripture, 1 Corinthians 14, 14 and 15, back up.

21:46 For if I pray, I don't want any praying in tongues in this church. We're seeker friendly and we don't want to offend anybody. We don't want any of that kind of praying going on where people cry and weep before the throne of God. God, on the behalf of the lost that are in our city, we don't want that all that my head were like waters and my eyes a fountain of tears that I would weep day and night for the slain daughter of our people. Where's the tears in prayer? Where's the heartfelt prayer? Where's the vision to see as God sees? He said I would that all men be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. But my church has grown cold.

22:30 He's reviving us. That's why God needs us. Would you dare sit down? It's time to stand. Let's stand. For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays. I don't understand what I'm saying. It makes no sense to me. Grow up. You're not going to understand everything about God. We're not going to understand everything. But if he says when you pray in an unknown tongue, your understanding is unfruitful but he understands you, well then I'm going to do the thing that he understands.

23:18 What have we been doing? We've been on a surface, I'm not talking about the face center. I'm talking about universally. We've been on a surface level. And the church has been lazy. How do we fix it? Give us laws. For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays but my understanding is unfruitful. Well is there a conclusion to this, Margie? It's 1210. What is the conclusion? All right, here's the conclusion. Here's our last word.

23:58 I will. Notice it's an act of your will. Daniel, can you come up please? The only thing God can't override is your will. When I came here on January 6th, can I be honest? Please. I pray a lot. I walk with God. I have songs in my heart all the time. I got it going on. But there's sometimes a part of me that feels like something's missing. Something's empty. Something's coming. I don't know what it is. Something's dry. You know, and I came here on the 6th, I'm like, I'm praying in tongues. I'm not stopping in my pursuit of God.

There's some mountains. There's some things. See, when you pray, you go into the realm of the spirit and you're moving things aside. There's that John Ramirez guy, Warlock, he was bad. He understood the laws of the spirit from the demonic side. Thank God he got born again. Listen to his testimony. I'm not getting into it. I pray. Hold on, I'm not going to pray it yet. I want to finish my conclusion here.

25:24 What is the conclusion? I will pray with the spirit. I will pray with the understanding also. I will sing with the spirit. I will sing with the understanding also. So when we don't know how to pray, we pray in tongues. I'm going to pray this over you first. And it's going to be the prayer of the word of God. And then we're going to sing again in tongues. And then we're going to pray for the inauguration that's taking place tomorrow. You good with that? Can I go to about 1220? This is the scripture God gave me for you at the Faith Center. You got to use faith in everything. But then we need the prophetic. The spirit of seeing and knowing and understanding and comprehending the laws of the spirit. This is my prayer for you.
