Many of us grew up in legalism hearing, “Don’t sin! People will think badly of you!” But is that the right motive not to sin? And if not, what is the right motivation? The answer is Love for the Father.

The Busses dive into the Scripture to explore this life-changing topic. We must each understand that our sin doesn’t just hurt other people, but it hurts the heart of our Heavenly Father. The Father wants to hold us so close to Him, but when we sin, we separate ourselves from His Presence. It’s not just about a list of dos and don’ts, it’s really about your relationship with your Father. So if you’ve found yourself in some blunders, now is the time to confess, repent, and just come back to Him. Let Him remind you how much He loves you and draw you back into relationship, and you’ll stop sinning because when you love Him, you will keep His commandments.

Welcome to the podcast today. We want to talk about something that is really... Well, it's tenderizing my heart, and I hope that you'll have that same experience, because we want to talk not about sin consciousness, but about relationship consciousness. It really means a lot to us, and it's very encouraging to us that we're actually getting somewhere to somebody. know, we're sitting in front of microphones looking at each other. And it's just, it's not like we are aware of our audience. So we just want to encourage you that if you are interested in hearing more of this kind of content and reading more of this kind of content, we've got loads of things on our website that I believe you would be blessed by. And so we're coming to our subject today, not being sin conscious, but being relationship conscious. This has kind of been a how shall I say, it's not a thorn in my flesh or anything like that, but something that's bothered me in the scripture that I, you know, when we have these difficulties understanding something that's written there and our flesh goes, no, that's not true. We did a recent episode about the consequences of sin. Because the consequences, they're like a ripple effect that go out among others around you. That your sin that you do yourself isn't just affecting you. And it's not just affecting your relationship with God. It affects other people because you're allowing some darkness in and affects others. So one of the scriptures

04 that has bothered me for... oh, probably decades, is Psalm 51, 4, where David is confessing his sin and he's repenting from his sin of having had an adulterous relationship with Bathsheba, his neighbor's wife, and his neighbor Uriah, who was one of his mighty men. Sent him to the front line purposely to get him killed. Yeah, yeah. Basically, Uriah's blood was on David's hands, really. So in this verse, David is saying against you, he's talking to God, against you, you only have I sinned and done this evil in your sight that you may be found just when you speak and blameless when you judge. And that just irked me that no. David, you're not seeing the big picture. This is hurting a whole lot of people. And the ripple effect was huge. We didn't mention it. We talked about this subject in that previous podcast. But we didn't talk about the fact that Ahithophel, who was one of David's counselors, turned on him because he was bitter and angry at David because Bathsheba was his granddaughter. So that's why he sided with... Absalom. When Absalom revolted against his father. It gave a legal right for that to happen. Exactly. All of these things were a ripple effect. But now David has been saying in the

37 scripture, I've only sinned against you, God. And only you. Only you. And that just always bothered me. But then I ran across a scripture recently. that helped me to begin to understand. And now, you know, maybe you've always gotten this, but I didn't. So I'm just going to go off of... Well, we just didn't think as deep as you. No, but I mean, I didn't, I didn't, I just couldn't get it. But now I'm beginning to get it because I came across Leviticus chapter 6, verses 2 to 7, that talks about trespassing or sinning against a neighbor. and that it's really a trespass against God. So it says in Leviticus 6, 2 -7, do you want to read that? If a person sins and commits a trespass against the Lord by lying to his neighbor about what was delivered to him for safekeeping, or about a pledge, or about a robbery, or if he has extorted from his neighbor, or if he has found what was lost and lies concerning it and swears falsely, In any one of these things that a man may do in which he sins, then it shall be, because he has sinned and is guilty, that he shall restore what he has stolen, or the thing which he has extorted, or what was delivered to him for safekeeping, or the lost thing which he found, or all that about which he has sworn

09 falsely. He shall restore its full value. Add one -fifth more to it, and give it to whoever it belongs on the day of his trespass offering. And he shall bring his trespass offering to the Lord, a ram without blemish from the flock, with your valuation as a trespass offering to the priest. So the priest shall make atonement for him before the Lord, and he shall be forgiven for any one of these things that he may have done in which he trespasses. Okay, so here's how it began to come to me. Like, this is obviously a trespass against a person. But it says at the beginning, if a person sins and commits a trespass against the Lord, well, the dots connected in that moment. And I began to realize, hey, our sins, regardless of whom we sin against, our sins are really Against the Lord, because he gave us the rules. So if we're doing something against the rules, and when I say rules, I'm talking about the instructions that God gave us in his word. Because God said, if you'll do these things, you're going to be blessed. Everything's going to go well for you because you're doing these things. And here's some things you don't

39 do. So don't do those things. Do these things and everything's going to go well for you. But when you choose to do something that is contrary to his word, something that's contrary to the instructions, like let's just take it back to the Garden of Eden. I was studying this the other day also that, you know, when God uses double words, It's really significant in the scripture. And we don't get it usually in the English interpretation. But if you go back into Genesis, where God is giving instructions to Adam, he says, of all the trees, you may freely eat. That's how it's translated into English. But in the Hebrew, it would be more accurate to translate it, eating you shall eat. And then he goes on in the next verse and says, but don't eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Don't eat of that fruit. Because in the day that you eat of it. You shall surely die. You shall surely die is how it's been translated for us. But from the Hebrew, it would be more accurate to say, dying you shall die. See, that was one of those other things that bothered me. from my youth.

56 You know, if God said, you shall surely die, didn't he mean you're going to drop dead on the spot? You know, that's what I thought it should mean. But he didn't drop dead. But dying, he began to die. The process began in that moment. And in that moment, he realized, oh, I'm naked. Oh, the glory has departed. It's like when a body starts shutting down, you know, like organ at a time and all that. It's a process and it takes a while. Right, right. And it took over 900 years for Adam. Dying, you shall die. But God's intent was because he had also given them instructions to reproduce. And so in order for them to complete. Those instructions that he gave them, he had to let the dying process go for a long time so that more generations would come forth and mankind would exist. Because if he dropped dead on the spot, God would have to start over and make another man out of mud. Another mud ball. So anyway, the thing that didn't enter my heart until now is that when we choose to disobey, We're actually hurting our Father. We're trespassing against Him. We're sinning against Him. Now, I have been thinking, and I understand this principle from Isaiah 52, verse 2. In the

27 King James, it says, But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you that He will not hear. And in the margin, it says, have made him hide his face from you but in the literal translations like young's literal translation it says but your iniquities have been separating between you and your god and your sins have hidden the presence from you from here yeah so you know when the presence of god leaves you when you've done something yeah well that that was part of what david prayed in that Psalm that we started with in Psalm 51, take not your Holy Spirit from me. May have already happened. And then Nathan just confirmed it when he came in and gave him the word. Yeah. You know. Yeah. So let's go on to talk about that. Yeah. I want to mention too, before this happened with Bathsheba, because you write in the first chapter, I mean, you read that at the time when kings go to battle. True.

30 So David should have been in the battle. You know, because he lost, maybe he was just, I don't know. We don't know why he didn't go. We don't know why he didn't go. It could be another reason, but he got set up. Yeah, exactly. Exactly. He wasn't where he should have been. I mean, he can be out on your porch, but don't go looking down into your neighbor's window. Right. And apparently she must have had a very big window. I don't know. I think she was on the rooftop. On the rooftop? And he had a higher roof. Oh, wow. I think that's how it was. So before we go into the story, I want to emphasize that as we're talking about this, we need to think of God as our father. If you are a parent or if you have had good parents, knowing that God is our father should help you feel what he feels.

29 Like the golden rule. that we learned as children, do unto others as you would have them do unto you. It's from Matthew 7, 12. Treat other people like you want to be treated. Yeah. Okay. Now think in terms of parenthood. As a parent, think about how you feel when your children disobey you. And think about how your father feels when you disobey his word. You know, sometimes a parent wants to just shut themselves away and cry at the disobedience of their children, especially as they get older. You know, I taught you better than that. Why are you doing this? You know, and especially as your children get older, you have to give them some space. You can tell them, The right thing to do, you can, probably the best thing to do is, if they're teachable, is, well, let's look at your choices. Tell me what you think based on your choices and teach them wisdom. Teach them how to make a wise decision rather than telling them what to do, right? But God does that for us. He teaches us from his word how to make good decisions. So anyway, let's go back and talk about God's dealings with David.

54 2 Samuel 12, 13 to 25. Would you like to read that? So David said to Nathan, I have sinned against the Lord. Yeah, this is after Nathan has confronted him about his sin. You're the man. Yeah. And Nathan said to David, the Lord also has put away your sin. You shall not die. And I'll add there, according to Old Testament law, you know, you commit adultery. Yeah, you should die. You should be stoned, right? Yeah. Can't think about stoning the king. However, verse 14, Stop and to think about that. Your deed has given great occasion to the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme. Think about that in terms of, okay, so you've got the enemies that are In the physical realm. But you also have these enemies that are in the demonic realm.

00 The demonic realm, yeah. And it's given them great delight. Yeah. And that loosed the spirit of sexual immorality in David's house. Yeah. So that Amnon went after Tamar. Tamar, yeah. And it loosed murder in Absalom that he would kill his brother for having raped his sister. And, you know, all of these demonic things were released. And Nathan points that out. But at the same time, David is saying against you, you only have I sinned. But David says, I have sinned against the Lord. And Nathan says, I've put away your sin. The Lord has also put away your sin.

40 You shall not die. However, because by this deed you have given great occasion to the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme the child, also who is born to you shall surely die. Then Nathan departed to his house, and the Lord struck the child that Uriah's wife bore to David, and it became ill. Okay, let's stop there. The Lord struck the child. Yeah. We've been taught that God doesn't cause disease. Because this is a child out of wedlock. Exactly. This is the fruit of disobedience. This is the fruit of sin. This is the fruit of, I mean, you've got adultery, and you've got... David trying to hide it by bringing Uriah back from the battle and sending him to his wife, he thinks. But Uriah wouldn't do that. So then he sends him out to be killed.

34 So the Lord struck the child that Uriah's wife bore to David. Look at that phrase, Uriah's wife bore to David. And just go ahead and read the next little part. David therefore pleaded with God for the child, and David fasted and went in and lay all night on the ground. So the elders of his house arose to him to raise him up from the ground, but he would not, nor did he eat food with them. Then on the seventh day it came to pass that the child died, and the servants of David were afraid to tell him that the child was dead. For they said, Indeed, while the child was alive, we spoke to him, and he would not hear our voice. How can we tell him that the child is dead? He may do some harm. When David saw that his servants were whispering, David perceived that the child was dead. Therefore David said to his servants, Is the child dead?

33 And they said, He is dead. So David arose from the ground, washed and anointed himself, and changed his clothes, and he went into the house of the Lord and worshiped. Wow, look at that. Yeah. And he knew why. Yeah. He knew. That the Lord was right in doing what he did. Remember what he said at the beginning of this in that Psalm 51 .4, that you may be found just when you speak and blameless when you judge. He knew that God was right in what he did. He was just begging for mercy. Then he went to his own house, and when he requested, they set food before him, and he ate. Then the servants said to him, What is this that you've done? You fasted and wept for the child while he was yet alive, but when the child died, you rose and ate food. And he said, While the child was alive, I fasted and wept. For I said, Who can tell whether the Lord will be gracious to me that the child may live?

31 But now he is dead. Why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me. Isn't that amazing? He understood what it is like to be an intercessor. He was begging God. Please have mercy. Yeah. And God had mercy on him. God had mercy, big mercy on him. But he recognized there might be a chance. You know, when he numbered the people, he said, I'd rather fall into the hands of God than into the hands of men. Yeah. So he understands he has a relationship with his heavenly father. He has a relationship with God. Yeah. So we don't know how much time goes by between verse 23 and verse 24. But read verse 24 and 25. Then David comforted Bathsheba, his wife, and went into her and lay with her. So she bore a son, and he called his name Solomon. Now the Lord loved him, and he sent word by the hand of Nathan the prophet. So he called his name Jedidiah because of the Lord. This is very interesting because this is the only time you'll see this in Scripture.

43 Yeah. I love how it says that David comforted Bathsheba, his wife, after that baby that was born out of wedlock died. So now it's a legit... Yes. Now we have Bathsheba as David's wife. She's no longer Uriah's wife. She's now David's wife. And as David's wife, she can be the mother of the next king. And just as a side note, Ahithophel, her grandfather, was one of the wisest men ever.

23 And so that's where Solomon got the DNA of wisdom. Interesting. That, of course, God embellished. God made it bigger. God made it better. Because this is a union of the granddaughter of a very, very wise man and her husband, David. is a man after God's own heart. So those two sets of DNA together could make Solomon the wisest man in the world. Unfortunately, he wasn't so wise when it came to foreign wives. And that kind of goofed things up for him. And I think a lot of these wives were gifts, too. Oh, that could be. A lot of them were gifts. I'm giving you my wife because...

05 I'm giving you my daughter. Daughter. It doesn't mean that he had any relation, sexual relation with them. He probably did. Yeah. Moving right along. But those were political marriages. And because of being political marriages, and it says in another place that Solomon loved many foreign women. Okay. So he was loving them. But that's really not where we're going with this story. Let's go back to where we were. So the Lord sent word, it says in verse 24, that David called, the child Solomon. And in Hebrew, that name is Shlomo. Shlomo, yeah. It sounds a little funny to us because we're used to Solomon. Yeah.

55 But Shlomo. Sounds Yiddish almost or something. Yeah. Hey, Shlomo, come here. Shlomo means peace or peaceful or peaceable. he was all about peace. And actually, Absalom was intended to be a peaceful man too, but he didn't end up being that. David was trying to bring peace into his house, really, because he had been a man of war all along, and he was still being a man of war. But Absalom also means, my father is peace. So David was trying to present himself as a peaceable king.

44 Yeah. So anyway. Interesting. So Solomon is given the name by David, and it says that the Lord loved him. Yehovah, the God of David, loved this baby, loved this child. And he sent word by the hand of Nathan the prophet. So he called his name, he meaning. God called his name. You could say Jedidiah, that's anglicized, but it's probably Yedidiyah. And it means beloved of Yehovah or beloved of Yah. Gezaniah says the delight or the friend of Jehovah or Yehovah. Yedid means beloved or friend. So it was intended by our father that Solomon. the one that came after David's sin with Bathsheba, that Solomon would be his friend. And he started out really well.

44 Started out well. The Lord appeared to him. Yeah, yeah. And because you didn't ask me for riches and silver and that for wisdom, how do I lead this people? Right, right. Wow. But he didn't do a great job of following after the Lord. And that's not the point of this. The point of this episode is that our sins are sins against our Father. So let's look at a story that Jesus told about a father and a son sinning against him. In Luke chapter 15, we have the story of the prodigal son, and we know that the beginning of the story is that The man had two sons, and the one son, the younger son, he just was bored with working on the farm. And he said, come on, Dad, you're going to divide the inheritance between us when you die. Why don't you just do it now?

45 My big brother gets twice as much as I do, but give me my portion. You know, the firstborn gets the double portion. So big brother gets the double portion. Just give me my portion. I'm going to kiss you goodbye and go and live the way I want to because I just don't like working in the fields. I wasn't born for that. That's not how I like it. So the father actually did what the younger son said. Yeah, that was quite amazing. But that's the story, though. Yeah, yeah. So the young man goes and he spends his money wildly. gains friends that will help him spend his money ridiculously and he wastes it. And then when the money's gone, a drought comes to the place where he has gone.

35 He's gone to some foreign country and he's desperate now. He's hungry and he's penniless and he doesn't know what to do. So he goes to work on a farm. Only this time it's not a kosher farm. That's what's interesting because this is a Gentile. Yeah, well, he's gone to a foreign nation, obviously. He's hanging out with Gentiles. So now he's feeding pigs. And that's just about as low as you can go. That's what you call lower than a sow's belly. Yes, that's a good way to put it, honey. So, you know, here he is, and he's so hungry that he's ready to eat the husks that he's feeding the pigs. The pigs have food and he doesn't.

22 Ugh, awful. So then he comes to himself. You want to read that? Luke 15, 15. Then when he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and he sent him into the fields to feed his swine, and he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything. But when he came to himself, he said, How many of my father's hired servants have bread enough to spare, and I perish with hunger. I will arise to go to my father and say to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. I have sinned against heaven. Yeah. And before you. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

08 Right. Uh -huh. Verse 19. And I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants. And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. But the father said to his servants, Bring out the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his hand, sandals on his feet, and bring the fatted calf here and kill it. Let us eat and be merry. For this my son was dead and is alive again. He was lost and is found. And they began to be merry.

58 So we're not going to go into the deal with the older brother. That's not the point of this podcast. The point of this episode is I have sinned against heaven and against you. We have to recognize that our sin, when we stumble, when we are trying to make a decision about, am I going to do the thing that I want to do, even though I know I shouldn't do it, if we'll just stop and think about our father and think about how the prodigal's father must have felt when he watched his son walk away. And now he's so excited that he's come back. And that's how our father is when we come back to him. When we do like David did and said, I have sinned against you. I'm sorry.

51 Please don't take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of my salvation. You know, all of those things that David did and his expressions about how I've hurt you. I'm so sorry that I've hurt you. If we could just stop and think before we make that blunder, before we trip on that thing, before we do something that's ultimately going to hurt lots of people, not just ourselves, it's those little decisions that we make when we think nobody's looking. When you think nobody's looking. Yeah. Those things come back to bite you. You know, Satan will tempt us. And then once we have fallen into that thing, then he smears us and slimes us with shame. And look how many ministries were within a previous sin, all of a sudden, that maybe it's been repented for. But see, God forgives, but man doesn't.

53 Man has a harder time. Well, it's true. And you have to think about the people that you're hurting. Yeah. And then they come back and... Or their family comes back to get you. Yeah. Maybe they won't, but somebody else in their line will. Yeah. It reminds me of the scripture that we just read a little while ago about what the Lord said through Nathan. By this deed, you have given great occasion to the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme. And that's why all of these people that are being exposed now. And I just read something recently about... some ministry or school or something that was supposed to be a Christian organization, and they were trafficking children.

35 Evil. Absolute evil. We have caused great blaspheme. It's horrific. But you can't blame Jesus when somebody that names his name goofs up. But the point is that we're hurting our relationship with our Father. When we make those bad choices. And God wants to redeem. That's the whole point. He wants to redeem. You know, we were raised, you and I, we were raised with the idea that you do things right because people are watching and what will they think if we do something wrong?

15 Yeah. We weren't raised with, don't you realize that you're hurting God? Yeah, I never. Never heard that. I never thought of it that way. But that's really what this is about. That you're actually hurting our Heavenly Father. His disappointment. It's just so sad. He grieves. It's not His will for anyone to perish and go to hell. It's not His will. It's His will that we all be saved and come to the knowledge of Him. And it grieves Him. when his children get the wrong attitude about other people who are sinning. And they're not really taking his side. They're looking for his wrath to come. And I was just looking that up today. I found it very fascinating that where it talks about the wrath of God. So the word wrath, and I'm thinking King James. Okay, I looked this up in King James. Wrath, including all of man's wrath. occurs, the word wrath occurs 197 times. Wow, okay. The word, and I spelled this venge, V -E -N -G -E, so it includes revenge and vengeance, okay, 34 times. The word anger plus the name Yehovah, 109 times. Wrath plus Yehovah, 27 times. Wrath plus God, 20 times.

45 Okay, and some of those are included in the previous verses. If you look at the name of the Lord, Yehovah, and the word chesed, which means loving kindness, it appears 246 times. Wow. He loves us. He loves us. He loves us deeply. And the word for tender mercies, racham, that appears 32 times. And it's translated, racham, is that the right one? Oh, I see Raham plus the Lord or God. But there's 44 times it's translated as mercy or compassion or like your gut feeling.

29 Okay. And Deuteronomy 7, 7 to 9 says, the Lord did not set his love upon you nor choose you because you were more in number than any people. For you were the fewest of all people, but because the Lord loved you. Do you realize a thousand generations is more than 40 ,000 years? Wow.

12 And, you know, we've only been on the planet for about 6 ,000 years. So his love and his compassion goes for, well, pretty much forever. I mean, it's beyond time. Time is short. You know, this time is just up until the judgment of the devil and, you know, all of the fall of Lucifer and all that host of heaven that fell with him, the one third. But our Father has this love for us. And his most important commandment is, love Yehovah your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, with all your strength. If you love him, you're not going to sin against him. And how do we keep from sinning against him? What does the Bible say? How do you keep from sinning against him? Psalm 119 and verse 11 says, Your word have I hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against you. Yeah, that was going in my head before I even saw the scripture.

18 And I like what it says in the Young's literal translation. In my heart I have hid thy saying, that I sin not before thee. What does it say in the Passion Translation? I consider your prophecies to be my greatest treasure, and I memorize them and write them on my heart. To keep me from committing sin's treason against you. Sin's treason. See, that's what it is. Treason, treason. It's treason against the Lord. Wow. And even in the Ten Commandments, the first one is, I am Yehovah your God. Have no other gods before me. Don't put anyone in front of me. Don't put anything in front of me.

02 Don't make an idol and bow down to it. Yeah. I am your God. And I think we have really left that out of our teaching. I certainly didn't get it as a child. It was all about, you know, don't sin. But it was really more about what other people are going to think of you. Yeah. I mean, really. And that's the wrong reason. The Lord is looking for joyful obedience. Joyful obedience. He's looking for loving obedience. He's looking for, there's a scripture that talks about, because you didn't serve me with gladness, therefore. And that's where the curses begin.

45 So the point here is, it's not about being sin conscious. Because I think we were raised to be sin conscious. We were raised to watch out for sin. This is sin, that's sin, this is sin, do this, don't do that. It was mostly don't do this, don't do that. Yeah, a lot of don'ts. Right. But not for the right reason. It's about our relationship with God. When we sin, we hide His presence from us. Take not your Holy Spirit from me, Lord. It's only against you that we sin. I would say it's primarily, it's first. First we sin against Him. And when we sin against Him, it gives the devil something to work with to bring blasphemy against God. Because he's really looking out to bring accusations against us, like is written in Revelation chapter 12, verses 10 and 11. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, now is come salvation and strength and the kingdom of our God. This is after the accuser, the brethren, is cast down. okay verse 9 says the great dragon was cast out that old serpent called the devil and satan which deceives the whole world he was cast out into the earth and his angels were cast out with him and i heard a loud voice saying in heaven now is come salvation and strength and the kingdom of our god and the power of his christ or his messiah For the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them

18 before our God day and night. And, verse 11, they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death. And that is really our answer, like when we do fall into sin. In 1 John 4, 7 -9, it says, if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, We have fellowship one with another and the blood of Jesus Christ, his son, cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Hallelujah.

05 So if we can just recognize that when we sin, we're sinning against our father. We're hurting him. Just like as a parent, you hurt when your child sins against you. When your child disobeys, you know, when daddy comes with the paddle and says, this is hurting me more than it's hurting you, kid says, no, I don't believe that. But until you become a father, you don't get it. But when you become a father, you realize how much it hurts to have to hurt your child. But if you don't correct your child, it's going to be worse. If you love him, you won't spare the rod, whatever form that takes. But our Father is waiting for us to come back. So if you find that you are in one of those places where you have blundered, where you have willfully done something you shouldn't have done, and you haven't repented of it, now's a good time. Now's a good time to ask God to forgive you. and to cleanse you from all unrighteousness that's what the blood of jesus does and that's how we overcome we overcome that accuser once he's blotted our sin out the accuser has nothing to work with our slate has been cleaned And that's the beauty of this relationship with our Father. He wants to gather us up into His arms. He wants to keep us close to His heart. He wants us to be able

36 to hear His very heartbeat of how much He loves us. We don't hardly get it. No. Hardly. This week we, you know, how YouTube offers you... things that you can click on, right? Well, I clicked on one of those and I'm not sorry I did. I don't spend a lot of time doing that, but once in a while. And what I ran across was, and we'll put it in the show notes because it was life -changing for me. We've interviewed Dean Braxton and we love the experience that he had in heaven. Well, this is a young man that had a similar experience of going to heaven. And the way he describes it agrees so much with what Dean says.

18 But what he said was that when he got to heaven and he's standing before Jesus, every part of Jesus was loving him. He said even his nose hairs would have been loving him. And this is a little chorus for me, but he said if he had boogers, I didn't see that he had boogers, but if he had boogers, his boogers would have been loving me. I mean, he was that complete in his love for this young man. And Dean didn't put it that way. Everybody has their own way to put it. And this interview was with Randy Kay. Now, Randy Kay also went to heaven. He had a death experience and went to heaven and met Jesus. And so Randy is interviewing Gabe Poirot. And then Gabe Poirot interviewed Randy on his YouTube channel. So I'll put the links to both of those. Because if you want to get... a better handle on how much our Father loves us. I strongly suggest that you listen to these because I think it'll be life -changing for you like it was for me.

20 You just have to be reminded once in a while about how much He loves you and just get lost in His love. If you get lost in His love, you're not going to sin against Him. You're just not because you get lost in His love and it's going to cause you to love Him. And when you love Him, you're going to keep His commandments. Would you like to pray for our listeners, Philip? Yeah. Well, Father, we thank you for your great love. And Father, for your great mercy. And Lord, that you're always there. And that, Lord, you forgive us. But Lord, sometimes we have a hard time forgiving ourselves because of consequences and things that happen. But Holy Spirit, we thank you that you are so faithful, that you're there nudging.

06 But the nudge sometimes... The temptation is there too. And sometimes we listen to the temptation more than we do the nudge of the Holy Spirit. And we end up doing something we shouldn't do. So we thank you, Lord, how much you really love us. Yes. And that you died for us, Lord. You shed your blood for us, Lord. Picture you, the price that you paid, that, Father, that we can be free and stay free, Lord. Yes. So we thank you, Father, that Holy Spirit that you continue just to quicken us. And, Lord, that we would just be filled, just stay filled. And the more we stay filled, the less temptation. that we'll be able to get through to us. The more we keep our eyes on you, the more that temptation will bounce off of us. Yes, and the more we study your word and hide it in our hearts, the better chance we have of not sinning. Yes. Thank you, Father. In your name, Lord Jesus. Amen. If you enjoyed today's podcast, Please subscribe, rate, and review this podcast on Apple Podcasts or wherever you listen to podcasts.
