(309) “Your Anointing Is Needed in the Body of Christ!” with Valerie Melroy

0:00 Sister Gwen got up and said, the Lord is here and he wants to touch you all the way that you need it. Close your eyes and just bask in the glory. So I closed my eyes and I was in heaven in the presence of Jesus. Now I came with a wounded heart and he welcomed me in and he just. danced with me and held me and just healed my heart at that time because I felt so rejected and abandoned. And I walked out of that convention with a heart that was healed. God promises in Joel 2 .28 to pour out his spirit on all humanity. Welcome to global outpouring. Are we content for that promised outpouring? Will you quit for that outpouring so that we may engage? and that very outpouring i'm philip bus and i'm sharon bus welcome to the podcast today we have with us a dear friend of many years valerie melroy she's been with us before and you can go back and listen to the previous episode we did with her but today we're going to talk about the things that are happening at Global Outpouring and how we're moving forward.

1:11 And she's part of our board, so she has an interest in that in particular. And she's also going to share with us testimonies of things that God did with her in her experiences at the convention. So let's talk with Valerie now. Well, Valerie, it's a delight to have you with us again. We'll put a link in the show notes as to our last podcast that we did with you that'll give a little more idea of your history and things that God has been doing in your life. But we've been so delighted to have you on our board of directors in, has it been a year, two years? Yeah. So you've been such a help to us and such a bolstering of the calling and the strategies that God has for us.

4:01 So we just want to welcome you to this episode. Thank you. I'm so happy to be here. My favorite people, you and Philip. I remember way back when we stayed at your house in the 80s and did a recording in the... Did our first garage recording. Oh, wow. It was a long time. Yes, we've been friends a very long time. Very, very long. Very long. It's been great. And good. All good. All the time. I don't think we ever had a falling out. That's a good thing, too. Not that you can't stay friends even if you have a falling out. You know, it's best to get those things repaired. So anyway, we recently did. Well, actually, it's been about a year that we've been working on this, that we got together with Joanna Drexel Blevins, who does this for a living, and she helped us to develop a strategic plan. And it was you that had the idea to do it. And so I just want to turn you loose and let's just talk about it. Let's talk about what that was about, how it came about and what we concluded. Okay.

5:10 I love that. You know, as part of the board and also growing up in the ministry, basically, I met Sister Gwen when I was 16, over 50 years ago, I'll just say that. So basically going up in the ministry and she was one of my spiritual moms and all. And then, you know, she appointed you and anointed you as her successor and you as the president, Philip as the vice president, and then coming on the board for me. And looking at what you were doing now, the name changed, which was a great name. I really know that God gave that name, Global Outpouring. And then just thinking, because I was in business for 30 years. and recognize how important a strategic plan was to think about where are we now? Where are we going? Where do we want to go? What's our vision? So that we could all, as a new board member, with the board members that were already there, get on the same page. So Joanna came in and we really took a parabolic approach, which is a story. What's the story of global outpouring?

6:09 And, you know, I love that because... Jesus gave stories all the time. And people could get that story and then understand his intent behind it. And, you know, what was really important. And although some people didn't get it right, some people that were religious or whatever may not have gotten it. But she really took us through very good steps around what's our mandate, what's our vision, what's our mission. our core values and our purpose. And we went through, and it wasn't just the board. You invited other people in, remember, from the nations and also some young people. Various ages. Yes, various ages.

6:49 And we met pretty much every week for a while and every other week for three months, really, to look at all those different aspects. So I love the mandate. It never changed the mandate, Joel 228, right? Exactly, exactly. I think in our early days, the word that was given to Sister Gwen, our founder, was, you are raised up of God to call out the end time handmaidens. And that came from Joel 2 .29. where, you know, you have to have 28. The Lord says, I will pour out my spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters will prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams. And then the next verse is, and on my servants and on my handmaidens, I will pour out of my spirit and they shall prophesy. So it really goes back to the initiation of the move of God is that he pours out his spirit. So that's the part that's in Joel 2 .28. And of course, it's repeated on the day of Pentecost. You know, Peter says, this is that that was spoken of by the prophet Joel. So as we were trying to get a new name, when the Lord gave us the word, you need a new name, it's time to change your name. It was just go back to the outpouring. It's about the outpouring. And in the outpouring, we are seeing that this is our time to encounter Jesus.

8:14 And as we have an encounter with Jesus, we're going to engage people and help them to get an encounter with Jesus so that everybody can learn how much our Father loves them. It's about our Father's love. You know, so many people trip up on the Old Testament because they see there's an angry God. Well, he's only angry every 400 years or so. You know, when there's been several, several generations have gone by and they pretty much stick with the same sins. That's when he says, OK, that's enough. You know, let's wipe this out and start over. And he keeps giving another chance and he keeps giving another chance because ultimately, ultimately, Joel 2 .28 is about him pouring out his spirit on all flesh.

9:04 Our mandate has to do with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the nations. We love the nations. And it's not just geographic nations. It's the people groups. It's the ethnos. It's the ethnic groups. So, you know, you can have one nation that has. 35 ethnic groups or 100 ethnic groups. Like in India, there's all these different language groups, you know, and every village is almost its own ethnicity. And so, you know, there's many, many, many that God tailors his encounter with them based on who they are individually, because he made every single person unique. He made every single person unique to work with him. And that's been so much the problem of the church as we think of it, the church as it has kind of grown into an institution, rather than a gathering or a body of believers who each have their own experience with him. And I'm reminded of what it says in Jeremiah 31, starting with verse 31 through 34. It's the description of...

10:21 the new covenant. And, you know, when Jesus gave the Holy Communion, he said, this cup is the new covenant in my blood. So partaking of the cup of communion is a part of establishing ourselves in connection with him as an individual. And the things that he promised include, you're going to be forgiven of your sins. I'll be your God. You be my people. I'll write my words in your hearts and in your minds. And the other one is, and you will know me. Amen. That's what they never accomplished. They never did really know God. Yeah. And it wasn't an individual thing back in the Old Testament where, you know, when the children of Israel came out of Egypt, God said right there at Mount Sinai, he said, I want you to be a kingdom of priests to me. Well, a priest. has a direct connection with God and a connection with the people. So he's there in the middle, kind of like an intercessor in between the two. So he's looking for us to be that kingdom of priests, to be kings and priests. So that has to do with this encounter that we need to experience individually, and then we engage people.

11:45 And then we help them to see the love of the Father so that it spreads out over the whole earth. Amen. That goes back to Joel 2 .28 because your sons and daughters will prophesy. So he's really talking, when you're talking about engaging Jesus, experiencing the love of the Father, which is our heart as well, is that our sons and our daughters, and we're them too, right? Right. We'll prophesy. You know, we'll dream dreams. see visions and so we're expecting to see a lot more of that hear a lot more dreams and visions and and also hear about the encounters as you said that people have and it's not going to look like something we may think It's an individual, like you said, because every tribe and tongue, the Lord created tribes and tongues. And so it's so exciting for him to have the difference. I remember one time I was asked to speak at a big candlelight ceremony for mental health. And I said, what do you want me to say, Lord? And he said, what if everybody looked like Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman? And what if the only color on the earth was green? And what if? And I'm like, oh, my gosh, it'd be so boring. And you wouldn't get to know each other. I mean, you would just look at somebody that looked like you and you wouldn't be different. You wouldn't be unique. And then he gave me this whole, I only have five minutes to speak. So he talked about colors and about people and about tribes and tongues and uniqueness and how everything, everyone he creates, what he has created brings

13:15 him such pleasure. And he wants us to find pleasure in it too. And so when we had those encounters, it's around. a pleasurable experience with the Father for us and for him. Yes. So individual, you know. Yeah. You know, the Olympics, Winter Olympics are going on, and I forget the name of the ice skater, Lucy Liu or something. She has this raccoon -looking hair. I mean, that really sets her apart. Yes. And we are each individual unto God as an individual. You know, we all have our different personalities and even all kindreds, tribes and nations, how everything is so different.

14:00 Cultures are so different. But being all one in Christ Jesus, because when the Holy Spirit gets poured out. You know, none of that matters. It's just like you're on your face. You're worshiping God. And it doesn't matter what the person next to you looks like. Because God's just moving, which is what he's going to do. Amen. Amen. I thought I'd just throw that in there. That's good, Phillip. That's good. No, I love that. And when we talk about, you know, God pouring out as our vision. you know, his spirit on all humanity. Yes. Even though we're not looking at the person next to us. Oh, you know, they look different than me. The idea is that that's amazing that they don't look like me and they're not like, you know what I mean? Because in our uniqueness, then we become a body and it really brings glory to God because we aren't the same.

14:48 We don't think the same. We may not look the same, but in the body and with Holy Spirit, we become one. You know, as Jesus said in his prayer, I am the father one and he prays for us to be one with him. And so I love the fact that because I used to say, I don't even see color. I don't even see ethnicity and all that. But it's not true. That's not honoring of the people because God created people to be a tribe and a tongue different than mine. And so I love that. But it's it's right, Philip. You know, that's when we're. kneeling down and and you're with me and i'm with you we're encountering jesus together and even it might be a different encounter we're still encountering the same jesus and same holy spirit and it's beautiful yeah that's what i love about our convention because we have all you know the nations come in and we have all all flavors if you want to put it that way yeah we're blessed of the lord and highly flavored you know Good one. So I talked with Dean recently, Dean Braxton, who had this experience in heaven.

15:50 If you don't know who Dean Braxton is, tune in to some of our other podcasts where we have interviewed him. He had this experience where he died for an hour and 45 minutes and went to heaven to be with the Father and Jesus. And the thing that he says about the Father is that he looks like every one of his children. All of us look like him. So, in as much as we celebrate the ethnicities, we celebrate our differences, we celebrate our uniqueness, but we are all made in the image of our Father. And it has nothing to do with the shade of our skin. It has nothing to do with the food that we eat, even though ethnic food is going to be different from people group to people group. We look like our father. He's our father in heaven and hallowed be his name. So we're, you know, part of our heart in this ministry is participating in what Jesus said when he was teaching us the Lord's prayer is thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

16:59 So the more we learn about heaven, and I just love how God has been opening the heavens to us, especially through our brother Dean. that we're getting a better handle on how it is in heaven so that we can be doing it on earth and bringing his glory here, building his kingdom here. It's about his kingdom. He's the king. We've got to remember he's the king. And we are king's daughters and sons. We belong to him. He made us in his image. It's beautiful. Amen. It's very beautiful. You know, I was thinking about as we wrestled through, not wrestle, we came up with like, talking about engaging Jesus or encountering Jesus and then engaging people and also what are our values for our ministry.

17:44 And, you know, I've been thinking a lot about the integrity that the global outpouring has carried. And, you know, we had like 20 things listed down there as far as our core values. And we're thinking, oh, you know, which are our top core values? The three that we landed on, do you have it there? I do. Truth, humility, and compassion. Yeah, truth. If we're all about the Holy Spirit, He is the Spirit of truth. Amen. If we're all about Jesus, He said, I'm the way, the truth, and the life. Amen. So, you know, that should be a huge core value when it's all about truth. You know, our Father doesn't lie.

18:26 He's not a man that he should lie. So that means he's all about truth. So truth is huge, huge. You know, we can't even stretch it. We can't even bend it. We can't even exaggerate a little bit. You know, I find it interesting, the people that I know that correct themselves when they say something and they say, no, that's not right. And then they say it right again to make sure that they are telling the truth. I love that. I love that when you see that as a core value in people, that the truth is important to them and that, you know, that we're not going to be running around lying to each other. It's huge. I love that. And I love the fact that, you know, now that I'm on the board and when things, you know, we have a schedule, we may not make the schedule. You don't make an excuse. You just say, well, I didn't do it or I couldn't get, you know what I mean? It goes down to that basic truth. It's like, I know I can trust. you. I know I can trust Philip. I know I can trust the other members on the Global Outpouring Board because we're not going to pretend or make excuses or whatever. We're going to say, we didn't do that. It's never bad. You know, I mean, we just missed a deadline or whatever, but, you know, and we pick up and do it then. And so down to the very, like I said to the Lord one time, don't let me get away with even anything little. You know, make sure you go, oh, no, Valerie, like, don't let me. And I feel like we have that heart.

19:54 Truth in all things, in all matters, finances and in ministry and in how we talk to each other and our relationships and that we can be very honest and accountable to each other with that truth. And I love that because it's integrity to me. And it's very, very important. You know, that reminds me of a time when the person who was keeping our books left and I was left with the job. And I had a terrible experience as a first grader with math. And so even though I could do it and and did OK all through school, I didn't like math because of that. trauma as a first grader. And so, you know, I was really a little freaked out that now here I am dealing with all these numbers in the accounting department.

20:45 And I was just struggling about it. And then God sent a math teacher to help me with this department for a little while. And she said, Sharon, it's not about math. It's about accounting for where the money goes. And it was like a light bulb went off for me. And I thought, oh, it's not about math. It's about integrity. It's about truth. It's about telling the truth about where all of this money is going. And then it became a thing that I didn't fret about anymore because it was no longer math. Because integrity is so important to me. You know, I really just truth.

21:27 Amen. Amen. There's a lot thrown around. That's kind of a buzzword nowadays. But, you know, running a business for 30 years, that's when people said, I trust you. I trust you. I mean, that was the big thing. Trust. Yes. And I, you know, and then they'd use that word. Then I know, okay, good. We're doing good. And, you know, that brings us to our next one, humility. And it's the fact that, you know, in that truth. we are humble before the Lord. Like, Ooh, you know, I used to sister Gwen, you have this too. I would be, you know, I've been again involved in the ministry for decades and people would get up and give these awesome testimonies about what the Lord did all over the world. And she would just go. wow, isn't the Lord good? She would never say, oh, yes, I was there in 19 blah, blah, blah, blah. She would just like, she's very humble.

22:13 It was never taking any glory ever, ever, ever for herself. You're that way too. It's just like, you marvel at what the Lord does. And someone said, You know, the angels up there, every day they have a reason to say, every minute they have a reason to say holy and to cry out because everything is marveling at what God does. And I feel like in humility, that's what this ministry has as well. I remember Sister Gwen saying, don't ever put me on a pedestal because God will knock me off. Amen, that's true. She said that. So we always thought of that, you know. Yep. Even when we go to a church or something. It always comes to me, it's like you never take the highest seat in the synagogue or at a feast unless someone who's more worthy of you, and then you're asked to be moved. Right. So sit further back and then let them invite you up front. And even if they don't invite you up front, that you just say, okay, it's not my time. Yeah. You know, you just back off and let God do it because pride is our enemy. Yeah. Pride is what... Pride is the number one killer of... Of all revivals is pride. Yeah.

23:21 Yeah. Revivals and ministries and people that God wants to use in other ways. But, you know, if we let pride take over, we're done. Just absolutely done. Arrogance and pride have to go. And, you know, it's so clear that God regards the humble. He pays attention when we're humble. And he doesn't like us. to be behaving with pride. I want to interject something. This morning in my devotion time, I was reading the Gospel of Mark in Hebrew. You know, it's been out now. The Hebrew Gospels. Hebrew Gospels have been translated into English. And in Mark, it's, you know, Jesus called himself once by the Son of the Virgin, not Son of God.

24:06 Really? Yeah, Son of the Virgin. I thought, wow. But they did not translate that into the Greek, you know, whatever. Son of the Virgin. That's interesting. You know, that sounds a lot more humbling than the Son of God. Of course, that sounds more supernatural, too. Yeah. The freebie, I just throw that in there. No, that's good. That's good. Praise God. I love that humility. And I love the fact that. You know, God does the promotion, like when you said that. And he knows the timing and he knows the place and the people and how he wants to do that. So if we're not invited to sit up front, it's not our time, like you said. So praise God for that. And, you know, our final core value, compassion. I mean, what does that mean to you? How do we show that at Global Outpouring? Well, before I talk about how we show at Global Outpouring, I'm reminded of. when Jesus was moved by compassion, that's when people got healed. And I like to think of it in that term, that when we're being moved by compassion, okay, we're going to be moved by compassion when we see someone in need and we can do something for them physically. Don't just say, be warmed and be healed without doing anything for them. So we want to be moved with compassion. to pray for people in their need

25:38 in particular. I mean, if there's some way that we can help physically, absolutely also. But so many of the issues that people have are a result of some kind of wounding that they had as a child, and it causes them to behave as a child when they get under stress. Those things need to be healed. And I really have a heart of compassion to see people set free from those things that have kept them in bondage. They've been kept in that prison to the experience that they had. you know, whether it was as a child or, you know, somewhere along in life, everybody's been wounded at some point. And I think that's one of the reasons why God gave me that book, Rich Wounds. I don't know why I don't promote it. I just, I wrote it and it's kind of like I've moved on, but it really reaches into people's woundings. to help them identify what God wants to do out of that. There's a purpose in everything that happens in our lives. And it's not like he caused it, but he knows how to heal it and turn it into something that's beautiful. He works all things together for good to them that love the Lord, to them that are called according to his purpose. And we're all called according to his purpose. Some people just haven't learned to love him yet. That's true. And I would advise everyone to get rich wounds. No, I think it really,

27:08 it shows each part of the crucifixion of Christ and what he does and how it touches different areas of our life. And I think it's really important, like you said, the wounding. I've been in mental health for 50 years. You know that. So most of the people, everybody that I have met, you know, and me too, had to heal from things that were said or done. Sure. to me or around me that caused me to either perceive things in a wrong way or to perceive things in a right way. And I needed healing from that. But the rich wounds, I think it really brings up, I know for me, it brought a deeper revelation of what Christ did on the cross and who he is and who we are in him. So I certainly would advise it. Amen. And it's meant to be beautified. It's meant to be something that will be like a jewel. in in your heavenly presentation you know what what you will look like in heaven those places that that you let him heal are going to be like jewels in your not not just in your crown but in your whole being you know that's beautiful one of one of the stories that i put in the book I heard a YouTube video of Yonggi Cho talking about a pastor that he was married to, in his words, a very ugly woman. And she died. And then he died shortly thereafter, just days later. When he got there, he said, well, my wife just died recently, too.

28:40 whoever was welcoming him to heaven said, well, she's the one who asked for you to come so that you can go back and tell the children that mommy's okay. And as she was showing him around, he was walking behind her and he saw like a diamond, I think it was, some kind of a gemstone in the back of her head. It was a diamond, yeah. It was a diamond? Like a diamond, yeah. And what had happened was when they were new believers, they were working for this man's father and they went to church and he didn't want them to leave the fields at all. He expected them to be in the rice fields that day. And when they got back from church, he was so angry that he threw a rock at her and hit her in the back of the head and she had a scar all her life. But when she got to heaven, that wound was a jewel. And by the way, he said that she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen when she got to heaven.

29:38 So even our natural ugliness ain't there. Yay, go God. Amen. Amen. That's beautiful. I love, you know, you and Philip and I, and let's see, there were nine other people that went to Tibet, remember? And we could not, this was in 2000, we could not openly share the gospel. But the love and the compassion we had for the people, they felt it wherever we went. Yes. Like that compassion. I remember the one temple that we went into. This is just an aside story, really. Of course, I love stories. It doesn't necessarily have to do with, well, it does have to do with God's compassion. And so we were blowing the trumpet set we had, the shofars, and the monks were so happy they got their long silver trumpets out and they started blowing and not one sound would come out. Only our sound. Only the sound.

30:34 And we blew it again. And ours were loud and clear and worship and just like, ooh, cut through. And then they'd put their trumpets up to their mouth and blow and no sound. They kept looking at it. And I thought, no, Lord. And actually, that trip, the first time I ever blew the shofar, I could never blow a shofar before. And we were up thousands of feet above sea level. And someone handed me a shofar. I'm like, oh, really? Then I picked it up and I blew it. And so God, in his love, and that night, one night I was there, and I hadn't been on the mission field for a while at this time, many years actually. And I got up in the middle of the night and the Lord showed me someone down. We were pretty high up in the hotel, someone down on the sidewalk there.

31:20 And all of a sudden I got this overwhelming compassion for him and I wept and I wept and I wept. And that moment shifted everything for me when I got up in the morning and we took communion. I was asked to take the second cup that day and I didn't particularly like the taste of what we were drinking. And every other day and I'm like, oh, the second cup, Lord. But you know what happened? That second cup was the sweetest. Most beautiful taste I ever had. And I believe because at 4 a .m. when I got up and I wept over the people and their salvation and their healing and the deliverance, and we had already been out there several days and just saw the people and their worship of Buddha, that my heart was just so broken. And when I took that communion for the people that day, I said, this is for the people. fragrance and the taste was the sweetest honey. It was just such a, I don't know, it was amazing, just amazing. And that was the Lord's compassion that even shifted my senses to see the need of the people. Yes. Yeah. There's things that are taking place in the spirit realm that are affecting our physical realm. And like you said, our senses, because our senses. in heaven are much more magnified. Once you get outside of your body, your senses are huge compared to what they are. It's like our senses are dumbed down in our flesh. And so because you got in the spirit, that's what changed your sense of

32:54 the taste. Yes, I believe it. And the real compassion to see the people the way that he saw. That was the plan. You know, I didn't have expectations. I didn't know what to expect. But I just to get the heart of his heart will change our senses. We'll change what we do. We'll change how we I mean, compassion is prayer with an act. Right. It's not just prayer. It's action. And so I really believe as we in global outpouring the testimonies that we have over decades of all of us. I mean. Every convention, we have lots of people stand up and give testimonies from all over the world. True. And it just is the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. And it just really builds faith. It builds encouragement. It's joy. Just amazing. I do love that. I feel like at our conventions.

33:47 I know we are led by the Spirit, and I feel like it's to charge people up to go out and do the work of the Lord when they leave. Because sometimes you come in there, you're not refreshed, or you just need a big boost, you know, and yeah, and we can get it there. And how many people get their traveling orders while they're there, you know, with all the flags of the nations that are hanging. hanging everywhere, and then the prayer time in the morning, and many people, they get a burden for that nation while they're, and end up going there too. It's true. We've seen it happen over and over again. Over and over again. It's powerful. Wow. Absolutely. Now there's people that feel a burden for missions, but they haven't gotten there yet, and they come to this convention, and God... begins to open doors. And sometimes you have to get out of your environment for God to speak to you. True. You know, when you're just surrounded by so much stuff and, you know, work or just send anything else and then, and just getting into an atmosphere where the presence of God is and it just downloads into you. Wow. So Valerie, tell us some of your experiences at convention, because we want to encourage people to come to convention 2026.

35:06 And if they watch this in other years, it could be the next year. Right, right. I really believe that it is a place to encounter Jesus because I've been there and I've done that. Yeah, many, many, many times. There's some more memorable times than others. And lots of times I would pile my kids in the car and come. And there was great children's ministry. There was great youth ministry. So everybody got something. It was really neat. But I think the thing that... that sticks out the most to me was in the early 2000s when I was married to a man that we were going to live forever together. You know, we had visions.

35:47 We had so many prophecies over us and we had already served the Lord in the nations. And then some things became exposed in our marriage that were happening. And there were some you know, infidelity and some drugs and alcohol and all kinds of stuff. And so we were separated at the time. And I'm just like, Lord, we had all those prophetic words. What's happening? I don't understand. And, you know, with the infidelity and all the betrayal, I, you know, I just didn't know. But we were sitting, all of us in a meeting, and all of a sudden the worship team started playing a song they never played before. and they were all unified and it was so glorious and we found out later they never played it before it was just they just started flowing and sister gwen got up at that time and said the lord is here and he wants to touch you all in an individual way the way that you need it close your eyes and just you know bask in the glory so i closed my eyes And within, I don't know, I can't tell seconds or minutes, I was in heaven in the presence of Jesus. Now, I came with a wounded heart. He welcomed me in, and he put a white bridal dress on me, but it wasn't fancy. It was literally a white robe, but it felt so glorious and fancy.

37:11 But it really wasn't, and someone saw it in the natural. And then he put a flower wreath around my head, like a headdress. And he said to me, I... I love you. I'm married to you. I will never divorce you. I will never leave you or forsake you. And he just danced with me and held me and just healed my heart at that time because I felt so rejected and abandoned and not understanding. And it was so beautiful. And, oh, I can feel it now. And so as he held me and he said, Valerie, I want you to meet someone. And he took me over to the father and he said, He said, Father, this is Valerie. And she just loves us so much. And she loves the nations. She loves people. And he started saying these wonderful things about me. Because I had heard in the midst of the divorce, I'm ugly, I'm fat. This is why, you know, there's been infidelity. I have all these things. I've heard all these things, lies about me. And I started to believe them. But when he introduced me to the father, I went, oh, my Lord, is that how you see me? You know, I'm just like. an unbelief in some way, but yet it was so loving and so kind and so amazing that those things started, I don't know, they started becoming me, you know what I mean, or I becoming them. And then I was standing there with the Father and Jesus and I'm like, Jesus, this is so wonderful and it's so glorious. I want to know Holy Spirit more.

38:42 Where's Holy Spirit? And I'm looking around heaven and Jesus says, Valerie, Holy Spirit's not in heaven. He's in you. He's in you. He's in my people. He's on the earth in you. He's not sitting here. And the Lord impressed on me that if I allow Holy Spirit to be a peanut in my life, then I'll have that experience of like a peanut. You know what I mean? Like a little Holy Spirit. Yeah. But if I allow Holy Spirit to be and Jesus to occupy every part of my life, then I would be transformed. And in that moment when I said, yes, Lord, it was like, I don't know if you've seen the Beauty and the Beast movie, where the beast is thrown up at the end and he transforms into this beautiful prince. And that's what I felt like. I saw myself being thrown up into the air. And my arms were out, my legs were out, and I was, the Holy Spirit was like electrified in every area of my being. And it was so almost shocking and so overwhelming that I felt myself then come back into the chair. Now, I had never left the chair, but in the spirit, I had left the chair. And I was crying and crying and crying and crying. And I'll tell you what, I walked out of that convention with a heart that was healed. And with the deep wounding of betrayal and of lies that I began to believe, gone. Because

40:17 Jesus spoke the truth. And I'll tell you what, that opened the door for me to believe that, you know, there's no barrier to go to heaven and see Jesus. And there's no barrier for him to come here. And, you know, so several other times, many other times when he has something for me, something special, I encounter him there and not necessarily here. And one time was at the House of Peace when I said to the Lord. yeah, your house in Jerusalem. And I said to the Lord, Lord, I just felt again, the present, we were worshiping again, felt the presence of God. And I said, Lord, I've seen you as friend. I've seen you as lover. I've seen you as savior. I've seen you as husband. I want to see you as the king of kings. And all of a sudden I saw him in this beautiful purple robe. I mean, just majesty.

41:10 I can't even explain the colors and all. But within a matter of seconds, I saw a lamb that was slain. And he said, now read Revelation. And I read Revelation and I wept and I wept and I wept. And I saw that he's king of kings because he was a lamb that was slain. because he laid his life down for us. But it was that convention, and I'm going to say 2001, 2002, that opened the door for me to encounter Jesus at a different level, at a different place, and to believe that he is ever -present here and I can be ever -present there. Amen. Amen. So your encounter was a healing encounter, but it was also a door -opening encounter that from that time on, it wasn't unusual for you to make these trips to heaven. No, it wasn't unusual at all. No. Wow. And it's not like you go there at your own will, but God catches you away, right? Yes. Yes. He catches me away and share something or it's always biblical, of course, but he'll share something or, I mean, I could share a lot of them, but back to the convention, what's really good about that then is that I could go into the prayer room and pray with someone about it. Or I could talk to someone and share with it. And they're not looking at me like, what? You know, you have mental illness or you have, you know, you have whatever. Because, you know, I look. That's why this is an aside to people that share with me that have been diagnosed.

42:40 And they share visions with me. I believe it. You know, other people might call them hallucinations and delusions. And that does happen some. But I do. Of course, that happens some. But I'm talking about visions that the Lord really wants to be with us and wants us to encounter him. And at that convention, I could talk to people of what I experienced. I didn't run around and tell everybody. Don't get me wrong. I think I shared one or two. But people that I trust. That I know that would just hug me and enjoy and celebrate with me, not be jealous or whatever, but just have my back on that, you know? But that was the first time it ever happened to me. So I'm like, whoa, whoa. But convention's a place where you meet people, where you get the love for the nations, where you share, where you pray together, where, you know, you hear the testimonies, where you believe, where you encounter Jesus at a deeper level, at a level that. You know, I don't go to a lot of conferences, not so much anymore, but I used to. And the one that I love about global praying is the worship, because it is just a place where it's such corporate worship, where we all enter, encounter Jesus together.

43:49 You don't find that many places. Yeah, when you have an element of people that pray and fast, I mean, the glory is just all the greater. It's true. Yeah. I remember hearing someone's comment once that I finally found my tribe. I found people that understand me. Yeah. Every place else you feel rejected. But, you know, when you have that hunger for God and especially the kind of hunger that will make you fast because you want to know him, you're hungry for him more than hungry for food. And you know that when people get together, when believers get together, there's a kind of a synergy. happens. There's a, you know, here's my anointing, and here's your anointing, and we come together, and it's bigger than the anointing of the two of us. But when you fast, and particularly, you know, the members of this ministry have fasted at least 21 days, sometimes they've fasted longer, and that fast takes you into a greater anointing.

44:47 There's something that happens in your life where, because you have denied yourself, and you've taken up your cross to follow him. And remember that the cross is a thing that is meant to kill you. Siggy says that, Siggy Oblander. And she says, you're carrying the thing that's going to kill you. Learning to die to things, letting things go so that we have more capacity for the things of God. And so when you get people that have a greater anointing, to get together with people with a greater anointing. And you fill the room with these people that have denied themselves and they've come in with a greater anointing.

45:30 The corporate anointing is just bigger. It's just more massive. And I don't say that in a proud way. It's not about, oh, we're better than anybody else. No, that's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is if you're hungry for God, if you've been hungry enough, to have an encounter with him in fasting. Come and bring your anointing. Bring your anointing into that corporate place so that your anointing will add and make it that much greater. And it becomes a place where God can inhabit in a greater way. Yeah. It's kind of like a choir. You can have a choir of 10 people.

46:12 But when you have a choir of 20 people, you'll hear the difference. Yeah. And if you get a choir of 200 people, oh, wow. There's something that happens. Yeah. It's true. And it's authentic worship. Authentic, yeah. Really taking the time and really knowing that we're the bride and that we are worshiping our betrothed, our friend. I call him my lover. And just because he's so... He's so full of love and, you know, and he's so intimate and it's scary sometimes. And sometimes I don't feel worthy. And I guess I'm never worthy except through his blood. But I'm just saying, you know what I mean? It's just so beautiful to know that he's so loving and so kind. And yeah, we spur one another. onto love and good deeds at the convention. You know, we can share about our mission trips and people get the hunger to go and people that were afraid, oh, I don't think I could ever go there. And then you share testimonies and all at lunch or, you know, while you're standing in the elevator and they're like, oh, I can do it. It's not about money. God always provides your way. God's will is God's bill.

47:23 And, you know, we just, I've learned a lot of little keys at convention that has unlocked huge doors just from a small key. a sharing of a faith statement or testimony or the message for sure. Yeah. Yeah. It lights up something inside of you like, oh yeah, that'll work for me. I can use that. Amen. That's wonderful. Wow. It's like when you, you know, you sing a love song and I don't know, and every, and the angels are singing with you, you know, you just feel like there's more than. Even the people sitting next to you, it's like all heaven has joined in. And we've heard it sometimes. Actually, at some of the conventions, we've heard the angels come and sing along. And so it's amazing. It's making the fragrance of the Lord is there sometimes, the fragrance that you smell. And yeah, it's just amazing. You know, one of the things that Dean says is that in heaven, the main thought is serving. And so when you encounter someone, you send a thought to them, how can I serve you?

48:32 And they send the same thing to you. How can I serve you? And what he says is that when he was worshiping at the throne, that as a sound would leave his mouth, that colors would come and atmospheres would come and things would come to help his praise get to the Father. We're helping, we're serving really, we're helping the atmospheres to worship. So that, you know, the physical air that's around us, we're helping the air to worship when we wave those flags. So, you know, you see in some conferences, you see the, you know, there'll be maybe a couple of people on stage with their flags and they're flagging with all their hearts.

49:20 You come to this convention and, you know, there's 30 or 40 people with their flags. Or more. And they're everywhere. And they're flagging and they're, you know, they're waving banners and dancing. And, you know, there's a freedom to worship. It's a freedom to worship. Yeah. Like you won't find. Hard to find anywhere else. And there are some great places to worship. I'm not saying they're not. I'm not saying they're not. You know, we watch some things on YouTube of people worshiping, and we just get along and worship with them, you know, all different places around the country. But being there present in the place, there's just something about being present and coming with your anointing, bringing your anointing to the place. I don't know that when you're watching it online, I don't know that you're able to add your anointing to it.

50:13 You're grabbing from what's coming through the camera or through your device, you know. But I don't know if your worship, you know, there's no distance in the spirit, I guess. Maybe it does. But I just feel like there's something about being in the room. And it's awfully hard to lay hands on you if you're not there. You know, it's awful hard to get personal ministry if you're not there. So I really encourage people to come and bring your children. As Valerie said, we have things for the children. We have a nursery. We have something for the younger set and something for the teenagers. And it's all designed to help children learn. Tell a little bit more about what the kids were doing. You mentioned that before we started recording. Yes. So I was. I had a, Hannah was eight or probably nine or 10 at that time. And we would go into the person leading the children. It was very Holy Spirit focused and amazing actually, and really respect of Holy Spirit. So when the kids came in and they wanted to, you know, talk and they were allowed to fellowship, that wasn't the point.

51:25 But when you got down to business, you respected Holy Spirit. So I signed up to help. every so often you know and so i went in to help them one day and she started playing the music and the kids just started speaking and she's like now walk around and they were walking around and all of a sudden the kids just started falling out nobody was touching them falling them out falling out on the floor holy spirit and they were laying there and holy spirit was working in them. Nobody touched them. Nobody pushed them. Nobody said lay down and nothing. And adults would come in after the meeting and the kids would lay hands on them and they would get healed. Some of the kids would prophesy. It was just amazing. So I started to sign up to help a lot more in there. I was so blessed by seeing children and I did sign up once to help with the youth, but, and it's amazing in the youth too. To see the little kids who, you know, kids can believe really quickly. I did children at my church for about a year. And I said to the pastor, can we do the whole service one Sunday? And he said, sure. And so we had the kids preaching. These were like 8 to 12 -year -olds or whatever. We had them preaching and all. And so I took them out a couple times to. get them ready, you know, go over the things. And we were in a restaurant and the woman that owned it, it was a pizza shop.

52:48 She wasn't, you could tell she was sick. And I went over and I said, are you okay? She said, I'm not feeling well. I said, hey kids, let's come and pray for the, because I had seen this at the convention really. Although I believe Holy Spirit is the same size in everybody, but I'd really seen the fruit of it at the convention. These kids came over, laid hands on this woman, just Lord heal her. We need to see her healed. She doesn't feel well. You can do it. Boom, it was done. And then the one kid said, can we have a gumball now? And it was that simple. And, you know, the next week we got back, she was well. And because we went back the following week. And so that's what I saw at convention. I saw kids that just because at that time it was Carol would say, this is who the Lord is. This is what he does. And there's no boundary to that. And there's no boundary in you to that. And boom, they just believed. And then it's like, can I have a gumball? And so, you know, they were naturally supernatural in those meetings. And because again, okay, I believe you. I trusted you. You know, that trust that we have, we set up an atmosphere of trust and of safety. It's really safe and important for kids to feel safe and adults too, absolutely. And to be safe. And to be safe, absolutely.

54:01 So everybody's vetted, you know, people aren't there that we don't trust. And the Lord really moves and the kids believe it. That's been a lot of fun, too. Absolutely. Wow. Absolutely. Wow. Well, Valerie, would you pray for the people that are watching and listening? Sure. I'd be happy to. Oh, Father. Father, we just thank you. We just thank you that you're so good, Lord. Yes, Father. Lord, your loving kindness is better than life, Lord God. We just declare. your loving kindness over everyone listening, Lord God. Father, I pray that that encounter that I had in heaven with your loving kindness, with your total, complete acceptance, with your healing, with your glory and your brilliance, Lord God, with the way that you look at us, Lord, and see us in the fullness of your glory, Lord, because of Christ. Because of what you did, Jesus. We just pray right now, Lord, that you would permeate through the body, soul, spirit, mind, heart, the senses of everyone listening, Lord Jesus. Lord, you know what they need. Holy Spirit, we just ask you right now, Lord, because you know what every single person needs, Lord. We just thank you, Lord. We thank you, Lord. As we declare, you said you will pour out your spirit on all flesh. And we're saying

55:33 right now, Lord, those that are listening, pour out your spirit, Lord. Yes. Pour it out right now, Lord Jesus. That would overflow, Lord God. Anyone who feels like a victim, Lord. Lord Jesus, when you rose from the dead, your scars were still there, but they weren't scars of victimization, Lord. They were victory. They were scars of victory. They were, they showed those wounds in your hands, Lord God, and feet when Thomas saw you. They were now victorious. They were not a victim scar, Lord Jesus. For anyone that's listening, Lord, that's had trauma. That's felt like a victim, felt like they're not good enough. Oh, I don't know if I, we know the devil lies and says, well, you don't have anything to offer or, you know, what do you think? Who do you think you are?

56:16 We just dispel those lies in the name of Jesus. We pray that you would uproot them right now in Jesus' name. And again, Lord, draw them and call them into your bosom. And we'd love to see them at the convention and hear their stories of what you've done and who you are. And the expression of what you have been for them in every tribe, in every tongue, Lord Jesus. We thank you for the nations that come, Lord. We thank you, Lord God, that those that think, oh, I can't make it, I don't have the finances, that you will make a way, Lord, because you always do. And we thank you, Lord, that you are generous and kind. Jesus, we just thank you, Lord, that Father, I know, like we said about the cross being the place where we die. And Lord, the cross was Jesus' destiny and he got to fulfill it.

57:03 And so, Lord, when we pick up our cross, Lord, it's our destiny. And so, Lord, we just thank you, Father, that many times at the convention, Lord, you strengthened my purpose, my destiny. You confirmed it. You drew me in to let me know we could do it together, Lord. I love that scripture about where you were going to go to heaven, but you were going to work with the disciples. And you do that, Lord. So, Father, again, we invite you into every nook and cranny, Lord. I invite you again into me, Holy Spirit. I mean, you're here. And I mean into every area again, Lord, that day that I felt that. I just pray, Father, that, Lord, as you outpour right now in whatever someone needs, Lord. You're there for them, Father.

57:48 Nothing's too small and nothing's too big. We speak healing. We speak deliverance. We speak salvation. We speak love. You promised you would never leave them or forsake them. And if someone found us, Lord, that doesn't know you, then, Lord, we ask right now that you show them your loving kindness and your goodness. Yes, Father. that you would reach into the very innermost parts of their being, Lord, those places that are too painful and are closed off, Lord, that you would open them up and pour in your loving kindness, Lord. We just thank you for that, Lord. You're so good. We bless you, Lord. We love you, Lord. Yes. We pray for all the speakers, Lord.

58:33 Yes. Lord, those that are going to come, we just bless them, Lord. We know they're preparing something that you have a word for this season right now, Lord. Right now. Yes. And we thank you, Lord. And that each person that's coming, Lord, they are coming to receive, but they're also coming to give. So we thank you, Lord, that there's a reason for them to be there because they're going to bless someone else. And most of all, Lord, we thank you that we're coming to bless you, to glorify you. to lift your name up corporately, Lord God, to hear the word of the hour for your bride, Lord, for your kids, your sons and daughters, Lord. We're here and we say, yes, Lord. I remember the time Lord Sister Gwen said in a private conversation, just surrender, surrender. And Lord, it was so good. It was the word I needed to hear at that moment. And Lord, I just say, I surrender now.

59:25 I surrender all that song. Yes, Lord. and that lord when we come we come with the heart surrender to you yes in your goodness in your glory in humility to receive and in humility to give And we thank you in Jesus' name. And bless Sharon and Philip, Lord. We need help. We need people that will help us there. We need people that will help us before we get there. So I pray that as some folks are listening, Lord, that you would put it on their hearts to go and help early or to help while they're there. And we thank you, Lord, because it is body ministry.
